Haha, I'd be happy with a tiny tree like the there too! Especially now that trees are likely to only get the regular ornaments / "classic tree" (some lights, topping, skirt and a few ornaments on the divisions), I don't feel any need to have -mine- on the forums but then again I love bgs and never really liked it there xD

There was one year when they glitched, I'm not sure if it was 2012 or 2013, but they showed up under the HAs for a while. I personally prefer them anywhere BUT besides the HA, yet there were complaints it was stretching posts too much D: (I don't think the actual trees can be shrunk and still look good)

I simply think that the background should be BEHIND the tree and not in front of it. It's probably one of the silliest thing I've seen. It's rather ugly and people with background can't even wear one without hiding their trees, which ruins the whole "we won't hide or block this feature" point. I rarely wear background but my current one is literally my shrine right now. @ Blanche [Edit] But it would probably need serious work and peharps it would work oddly with the rest. It's either all or nothing I guess :/

Ah yeah it would help a lot if we could layer them on top of bgs, especially now that we can layer skins... it could be like a seasonal "tree layer" xD The new bgs are especially gorgeous (that one of yours, omg) and several of them match the season, it's sad they look so out of place with trees.

I think staff just wants a non removable link to the trees to make sure everyone uses the feature, since we can easily remove them from profiles, and I guess "half a tree" still counts as a tree link, lol. But in this case I'd rather have a little cute icon with a link (and less forum lag) + the actual big tree on the gifting page!

I can imagine staff shutting down this "move" since it would probably be a "clusterfuck" of problem to work with. I just think that it sucks to be forced to remove our background for a tree. While it's fun and lalala, I couldn't care less about it. There should be an option, anyway. I agree about the lag, peharps it would help? (or not). I don't think the tree itself would be the problem, it would probably be the gifts? Like .. I don't know. They are not up yet, so I'm glad about it x_x

Maybe someone should create an "option to remove trees from forums" feedback/suggestion thread..as this thread is more about the ornament limit? Maybe the staff would see the idea then ^_^ I hope they do it. I literally didn't buy the pretty Winter BG because of the freaking trees lol

I understand the reasoning for it, but it makes me very sad not to be able to put together my usual tree. It was so much fun messing around with overlapping baubles on bows and such.

Although, 25 seems a lot more workable than 10 ornaments it is still not very many. Even with 25 ornaments my tree still looks a little on the plain side, but it still looks better than having 10 ornaments.

I just finished decorating my tree, for now, and I gotta say that I hope the limit gets raised later on. Those twinkle lights are so expensive and I wanted to use more of the ones I got last year Q-Q

The limit is quite a bit of a shame, though necessary I guess.. sigh Rather plain trees then crashing. Maybe a bit offtopic kinda question, but how do I get tree decorations and ornaments? Can you either win them by playing games or are they for sale in certain main shops? (It's my first Luminaire, yay feeling like a noob) :D

Honestly, I don't know how anyone even manages to put much more on than ten. I have a good comp and very speedy internet and it was pretty much flipping a shit over anything past 8 ornaments.

I feel like less is more with the trees, but since that's just my own personal taste, it's nice that it was raised to 25 items for those people who wanted to go that route. Hopefully it won't effect the site too much!

I get wanting more decorations -- I am one of those who cover the entire tree -- but having the perfect tree doesn't do much good when the site continually lags and crashes. I gotta say I'll deal with restrictions just fine knowing it prevents insane lag. Besides, it's really all about what's UNDER the tree anyway! LOL As long as my gift giving/getting isn't restricted, I'll be adjusting to the tree limits. :)

Save your tree and refresh the page whenever it starts lagging. The more ornaments you put on, the faster it will start lagging again, but I didn't have much problem getting all the way to 25 this year compared to last year.

I'm totally fine with 25. I've got 25 on mine right now and I feel like I have got a TON of shit on there.
