As a really old user, I must say that the first Jaxian shippers date back from more than 5 years ago, back when Jaxon wasn't even implied to be a ghost and both he and Ian were simply friends (which means that they've been dating for at least 4 years, which is a rather long time for living humans and maybe a really short time for Jaxon).

The fact that they used to be simply friends never stopped the shippers, though. Jaxian had a bit of a cult following; not as big as the Elwood fangirl following, but a rather expressive one. It was during the time a lot of NPCs first decided to roam the forums. Ian also confessed being Quentin's good friend and very peeved (in a very Ian way, that is) when people asked Q's gender (which, by the way, is merely "Quentin" and let's not talk about this anymore).

The one thing that was the spanner in the works for this shipping was merely Maleria's obssession with pestering Ian (shown in a few news posts and item descriptions like Nuclear Snowball, that implies at the very least that she and Ian have snowball fights), which could be misunderstood as her pining for him (dude seems to attract all sorts of supernatural beings to his side, after all). Though, one could guess it's just the evil goddess being her lonely, bored self and really, really willing to take someone as the victim to be her puppet. Well, Ian never really complained, since the absurdly cheap rent at Darkside made up for all the annoyance... (Please don't wish death on Maleria, or yours will be painful once if she rises to power. All hail the Dark Goddess.)

After a while, both Ian and Jaxon were all but left aside to let other characters shine and the spirit of Jaxian kinda slept. Which is why it appears that Jaxian "appeared out of nowhere".

But once this plot happened, all the hints (the "lost lover" not-really-joke being the very first one) awakened the ship from its slumber. Once it was canon, the almighty ship monster let a roar and all the fujoshis rejoiced. The end.

Ohhh my God, I only just saw the Bffs 4 eva Plushie and the Snapshot of a Kiss because I haven't been on subeta in a couple days and I nearly died fangirling. Yesss :D I can't handle all this wonderful adorableness.

Oops. Just realized I'd been on SL for um, at least an hour. XD Time to get back to drawing.

I am drawing one very interesting expression on Jaxon's face right now... he's either extremely irritated (understandably so) at the paparazzi following him and Ian around, or he's just going "MINE!" regarding, well obviously Ian, but right now its just him going "Rawr" on this paper.

Usually I just look at pictures of snarling predators and adapt it to humans.

When I saw the photo I got real giddy. My sister was almost annoyed because I kept saying her name, trying to get her to come over to the computer to see it. She doesn't have an account here, but still. I was like, "LOOK. IT'S CANNON. OH MY GOD." I like all the items you can equip, too. I haven't been involved in many events here (this is my second Morostide one), but this is my favorite out of all the ones I've done.

You mentioned MCR coming to mind for possible JaxIan songs? Ghost of You was the first to come to mind within MCR. Because, y'know, ghost is in the title, so...
