Exactly! There are pairings that I don't like, I'm not sure if they're canon in the first place, or fan-made, but even if the said disliked pairing became canon, I would be like "okay, fine." It's the creators of the characters' choice, not mine, and some people don't comprehend.

Woooah, did I totally miss something? People are being that way? What? D: no. That's terrible. but I mean, some people just can't deal, sad as it is. It is canon, whether they want it to be or not, though, so.

It's not a huge issue but I've seen it at least once, maybe twice. One of them might have been playfully in despair but it still made me shake my head. It's just weird seeing people so bothered by someone else's characters. 😳

Yeah, Subeta's community tends to be pretty good. One of the better one's I've been on, anyways. Still thought. Oh well, at least the majority seems to be okay with it, and we can all be happy.

I'm seriously crying over some of the prizes. Like, I know /we/ knew it was canon because of tumblr, but for the art team to make items that make it totally obvious and just /undeniable/ is amazing. Also, treating them as proper sex having adults and how they miss each other and emotions and just those items were so beautiful and we GOT A KISS

I really wish there was a bigger version though...

Oh, also meant to state that I've been here for eight years and that the fact Ian and Jaxon knew each other was kind of known but it was not until the past two, three years that Subeta really got invested in their NPCs and flushing them out which is the most beautiful thing in the world to me.

I haven't been on subeta all day and now I see see the prizes and I was overwhelmed! My older sister told me NOT to scream cause she knows I love JaxIan, LOL.

Sometime within my first year or so on Subeta (2008-09), there was a thread in the General Discussion forum for asking Ian questions about himself. Sure enough, Ian showed up (via NPC account) to chat with us for a brief while; Jaxon was brought up and I was feeling particularly mischievous that day, so I baited him with a few obnoxious questions about their relationship. His reaction was to dryly deny any romantic involvement between them.

I recall there even being a sarcastic comment on one's profile from the other saying something to the effect of, "Oooh, look, we've been seen together! We must be boyfriends!"

Looks like our gents have come a long way over the past few years. :)

When the two of them being together was confirmed by staff I was ecstatic and I still am. They are adorable together. All those prizes from the plot too. I am hoarding them all lol.

As for the users that don't particularly like the pairing, saying you don't is fine. However, saying "they are just friends" "ew" "but i shipped such and such with someone else". Those are getting old really fast. Whoever those people are, they don't own these characters. Subeta does. Whether you like or not Subeta has confirmed it's canon, so it's canon. Get over it. You don't have to like it, but don't throw a giant fit about it and don't hate those of us that do like the pairing. Even before it was all announced, I thought staff made it pretty clear with the plot lol. I think a lot of people were just in denial.

I've skimmed some threads and before staff had mentioned it, I know there were at least a few people that thought Jaxon, being from a different time period, was just using an older dialogue and what he was saying is just how things were spoken from his time period and not really using the words as "endearment". Although, as I said, I thought it was pretty obvious.
