Happy Subeta birthday! Hey all. Thought I would give you an update on my life :p Harper is doing very well. She is over 18 lbs and will be 6 months old on the 15. John has found out he is eligible for a treatment for his seizures. The good news is that he could be seizure free after this procedure. The bad news...have to raise $2500 before he can have the treatment. :( So, I have been working on a go fund me page for it, in hopes of raising the money (as you guys know, money has been almost non-existent for us :( ) If you guys have any ideas of where to share the go fund me link to get exposure, please let me know! :)
Thank you! :D Oh, I know you'll get it hugs
Thank you :) I am praying that we are able to raise the funds. This would help him so much.
that would be great if you could let her know, they think thats why I havent been able to get the pings, even though it doesnt tell me that I'm pending acceptance x.x
You could message Keith about maybe setting up an advertisement in the forums? Maybe he'll let you do it for free... There's also Facebook where you could set up a group and ask members to share it.
OOOOH congrats! Harper is such a pretty name <3 As for the go fund me, I've seen people post it on Facebook. I'm a member of local groups on Facebook that have a "virtual" swap meet type thing, not sure if you have any in your area, but you can check it. Also, maybe if there's a local newspaper, sometimes you can get local notices out there. Maybe a fundraiser with food, like a BBQ plate, at a public park, make an announcement in the paper for it? Perhaps also see if there is any state assistance programs that could help out. I know in Florida there are if you are in a certain income level.
Good luck :) Spring weddings are so pretty :) Just beware, I was told that from Dec - March is what is called, "Wedding Season", similar to the Christmas shopping season and that is when most brides will be shopping for dresses/etc. I was just informed that last week when I was trying on dresses at multiple stores here locally. I don't know if it's a regional thing, but it does make sense. Most people tend to get engaged the most between the holiday season and through March (yes, Valentines is included!). I have been looking at dresses all year long and haven't noticed too much difference (at least locally). Don't be afraid to check the clearance racks though! I saw some amazing dresses there :)
Happy Subeta Birthday! :) How exciting! :D Did you enjoy your loyalty box?
glomp How are ya?

Thank youu! :D I didn't open it yet o: I'm going to adopt Argentina ^o^
My friend got married 2 years ago and said between October and March is quiet because although people become engaged, they don't get married until summer time so they start shopping later on. I was going to check the sales racks first. I can't afford to spend much on a dress, plus I want a plain dress. I don't really like lace or beading, but that's just me. I might end up just buying one from a normal store haha!
That makes sense too. It could be a regional thing though. Here, people always flock to my state to marry so it's always busy. June, October are always slammed, so I had a hard time finding a venue in my (cheap) budget. I was lucky to find one last week and just signed the contract last night :) It will cost me $750 for the entire weekend (3 days), I'm super stoked for that so I can have time to decorate the day before and clean up the day after without worrying and scrambling around the day of. If I chose to just rent it for the Saturday, it would have been $300 only. Since I am doing most of the work myself (with help from friends), I chose to splurge a little more for the two extra days. For getting married on a Holiday, it was the cheapest I found. Everyone else wanted double prices just for a holiday :(
Check out David's Bridal if you can. I found a TON of cheap dresses (many under $500) and they had a wall full of clearance dresses under $300 (quite a few plain ones too). I'm sorry if this has been too lengthy :( If you want to talk about it, I'm always happy to help :) Springjoy sent me a few links that have been awesome and if you want them, let me know, I'll send them too :)
Awww! I love that name :)

Thank you! I do too ❤ How have you been? c:
I'm from the UK and I am an awkward dress size (very top heavy with tiny bottom half!) which buying dresses difficult so I'd need to try them on before buying. There are a few bridal dress shops in the city I live in that sell cheaper dresses so I'm gonna check them out when we've finally decided on a date and venue.
I would start with your FB friends. Ask them to share. Typically that's the best place to start. Doing an ad here on subeta might not hurt either. But do ask Keith first! :)
I've been good, how about you?? :)
Ah! Yeah, that does make sense. I'm sorry, I did remember you were from the U.K., but couldn't remember the exact place. Sorry about that! :( I do wish you all the best with your wedding :) Have you thought about a theme for it? jw
