Customer service is a good career if you like working with people and it sounds like you have the experience. Have you tried Timpsons? They're said to be amoung the best to work for and they even have a line for a direct telephone interview.

I wouldn't want to have a phone interview, I get anxious when I have to talk on the phone.

To my American friends on here I was wondering if you could clarify something for me about Black Friday? There was something on Facebook about the origins of the term dating back to before the Civil War and slavery. The term was supposedly used to describe a time when slavers would sell their black slaves at a discounted price to help plantation owners with harvest season, hence the term Black Friday. Is this the true origin? Somebody said in regards to this origin that it was false and was something to do with a celebration in the economy being in the black instead of red (positive instead of negative) due to peoples spending with the holidays. In which case the term is relatively new. Over here in the UK it is definitely a new term, as is the idea of Black Friday, so I feel the second explanation is more likely as if it was the latter, it would of been known in the UK in the past also.

Whatever black friday stood for is LONG gone now. Its a running joke of "black" Friday because of all the insanity to save a few bucks. I just got the same deals online :)

I saw the pictures from the UK black friday. Looked brutal. People have died here in teh states from being run over by other people in the store.

Just in case anyone else needs the rules for the Secret Santa, here they are in full.

1. You need to organise a Secret Santa wish list before December.
2. The list can be anywhere between 5 - 10 items long.
3. Each item must be a maximum of 500,000sp.
4. Start saving up now please! I'll draw the lots and send out the name of your SS before December starts.
5. If the giver wants to give more than is on the list, it is up to the giver. These rules are to ensure everyone gets at least one item on their wishlist that players can afford. Even if the player can't spend much time on Subeta.
6. Unless it sells for 500k sp on the player shops, no cash shop items. They have some lovely things and it's wonderful to support the site but this is sp only. We had far too much trouble with this last year so no give on this I'm afraid.
7. If you have any concerns or issues, please let me know and I'll see what I can do to help.
8. Gifts must be from the wishlist. This isn't Mysterious Melody. Unless you know your SS well and it can be seen as a joke or it accompanies the gift, stick with items from your SS' wishlist.

I tried shopping on Black Friday for the first time this year and I wasn't impressed. The deals weren't that impressive (even the TVs) and it just seemed more effort than its worth. I think I'll stick the January Sales. I find better deals then anyway. Do you ever shop during Black Friday.
