I missed last Morostide cause I was on hiatus, but I don't remember beeing like this the previous year, no way we had to wait 30 minutes, I'm sure of that... Maybe they changed it in 2013 but it was different before .
Thinking about it, I'm guessing they left it on the last day timer from last years morostide and forgot to change when it started this year.
Not happy at 20-30 though even if it's normally that. Already getting way more of last years items rather than this years and the wait times were shorter. Would love more of the new stuff and 15-20 minute wait times.
But I know, Day2 only, lots of time yet.
“Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are.” - Benjamin Franklin
"Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the orphan." - Isaiah 10:1-2
i am pretty sure that we know when we get over excited in our reactions and that we can come on when we have free time.
I am pretty sure we are just venting our frustrations over the HUGE change in ToT times. We are allowed to do that! Thanks for pointing out the obvious to us all though.
If it were 5 mins for the duration of the event then the items would be worth pittance by day 4 . Be happy that you got what you got today .
We had the times low to kick off the holiday, something we haven't done before. We usually have longer wait times during the holiday (the 20~ mins), which we've restored now. :)
Don't worry, the 5ish minutes will be back on the last day. Also the fast ToT buff actually works now. ;)
(pinging you guys just so everyone is aware the times are back to the time they should be)
And I am pretty sure I can voice my opinion too.
You are welcome 😘
I don't know if my waits never got that high but I do not remember 20-30 minutes being the norm in the past years. It just seems overkill. Let's say you get 30 minutes waits all the time that's just 2 TOTs per hour and most can't spend more than a few hours on per day. I think 10-15 minutes is much more reasonable and makes a lot more sense.
You will have plenty to do to occupy your (normal) wait times between Trick or Treating, we promise. We're just getting started.
most of last year's items were not worth much during the event, but the majority sold for upwards of 50K+ at the start of this october. they're an investment.
and we have infinite usage of the bonfire, and yet, some of the bonfire wearables (hello nazars) are still incredibly expensive. just because something is plentiful in an event doesn't mean they'll always be cheap
yep you can 😘 just thought i would return the favor :D
Oh No! JESSYTA has thrown an egg at your house! 😞 LMAO if it makes you feel better have at it :D
It's good to know that the shortened wait times for the first day were intentional.
I just don't understand why nobody mentions the changes to the userbase. Really drastic stuff happens and it's like nobody cares enough to let the userbase know about it. It never feels good on this end. "Just do it. Don't ask questions. Just do it."
Do admins like wading through the extra threads and the extra panic and the extra everything? Seems like it would be so much easier just to do a site notification so that everyone understands why a change happens.
It made me giggle that we'd been worrying about a fast pass not working, only to discover 5min WAS the fast pass!
There's lots to do anyway! Do some Quentin quests in between waits. Or eat a Snickers... seems some people have turned into Horseless Headsmen from the cranky!

I didn't get the ping for siteupdates, not sure if it went through
- Sometimes I think the changes are so impulsive and or drastic that the admins are as caught off guard as much as the users are.
I'll say one thing - I want the normal 10-12 minute wait. 20-30 and I'm liable to say screw it and go do something else.

Well, maybe, but clearly someone has to go change coding in order to make a change like this, so it can't be that much of a surprise. I can see how a mod or a coder might not be willing to make a whole big news post, true, but to say nothing? Nothing at all?
Maybe this means there does need to be a place like a site update thread where folks can post where it can be easily communicated to the userbase.
Like...making a thread on the updates forum. jazzhands
We changed it really recently. I was in the middle of adding achievements and was going to make a thread in site updates after about the wait times. By the time I finished achievements, I realized you guys already had a board up.
I ping'd people to this board though with siteupdate (if the ping didn't go through, let me know!) so that we didn't have multiple boards about this. :)
