Home and interested? I finally got my garrison together so I feel comfortable pausing for a while XD
- sure, just gimme a couple minutes. Someone at work reminded me today that I have to go pay my college fees. Blah.
Ewww... good luck with that. Reminds me I need to throw money at my student loan... but it's finally down under $500 and I am SO HAPPY.
Let me know when you're ready ^^ I will try to de-ice my fingers...
- Yeah, student loans suck too. College fees are crazy though, like 1200$ :( And I need to deice my fingers too... Sirius' candle thing is great for that! lol.
Yeah, I remember... ugh. I learned a lot in college, but very little of it came from going to classes.
I don't really have any place to put a candle, but I have a cat who keeps jumping up to sit next to me. If she wants to be there, she has to endure her belly being used as a hand warmer.
- Not school college fees, regulatory college fees, I get even less out of it! (well, that's a lie, but it's still so much!) Yay! Kitty! I have one of those big jar candles. It's awesome :) Want to go 15 at :00?
Eeww. Yeah, that sucks balls. You win on suck XD
Jar candles are the best. I'm on a couch with my laptop though and there's nowhere to put them. And 15 at :00 sounds like a plan!
- 202 ehn, not great, but it's a start! Aiming for 20k tonight, then I'm only a day behind.
461 for me. I hit a decent spot - I legitimately like both characters in the scene and they play off each other well XD Plus I get to talk Victorian costuming/fabric/tailoring nonsense again and that's always good for a few thousand words.
- w00! Glad you're at a good spot. This chapter isn't going so well for me. I may have to re-write it.
Re-write December! But good on you for putting up a 20k goal! I know you can do it. You've been incredible about catching up.
- Yeah, I know. But strike-through November! I'll probably pull pieces from what I've already written into the new version of the chapter... as soon as I figure out how I want it to work! I just realize that I've written one of my MCs into this scene who really shouldn't be there. I had an idea for this scene on the plane, and then I had to stop writing because of my headache and screaming children, and now I don't remember where I was going!
Oh no! That's frustrating D: I hate when you have a great idea (or at least a moving idea) and then something ruins it.
- Yeah, now I'm back-reading to try and find out where I was going here.
- me too!
Ugh. I am considering signing up on NaNoWriMo just to get the participation discount for Scrivener. I do have an idea I'm thinking about using... One I've got just a few paragraphs of text for. I probably wouldn't get more than 5000 words out before end of November, if even that... It mostly just be "plot planning" and making notes on ideas I've had.
It seems so silly this many days in though. I certainly wouldn't be doing NaNo likes it supposed to be done, but as I've stated before, the NaNo method is never really going to work for me, because I don't like feeling pressured. I am actively writing as much as possible, but using my own method to keep motivated.
What do you all think?
- ... literally... -2. My dad walked in and started talking to me, so all I got accomplished was I deleted two words because I accidentally said the same things twice while going back over the section I had written in the last word war that I didn't like :P
