Also hello lazy pet people! I haven't posted in a while because I have't had anything to update. But for the last two weeks I've been killing myself over what color my main pet should be and I finally figured it out! So now I can go ahead and start working on her again! :)

This is so like me; I decided I wanted to make proper pet profiles and started collecting stories, graphics, and ideas in OneNote. And that's where it stays; because I don't like anything I write, because I'm a fantastic procrastinator, because I haven't learned how to code a pet profile yet anyway... take your pick. :P

i've been thinking (finally) about my pets' minions, would you care to give me your opinion/sugestions/etc?

unsure about Apolo's minion. balu, golden chirrup, newfie, or other?

Newfie matches the fur texture really well, and golden chirrup perfectly matches with the eyes. I'd say newfie overall for shape and fuzziness. Does Apolo have any other background information which you're working on? That might help to get a feel for what sort of minion would be best :)

EDIT: I finally touched up my first two pets' descriptions enough to upload them - first substantial bit of progress! O: Now just to code their profiles cry... ... I think I'll do some TC items instead.

My subeta anniversary is in about one and a half months I think, and I was planning on buying another pet slot along with my free one but the way things are going in real life I might not be able to. It's disappointing but we haven't even paid our taxes yet :( I know they're due just next month so hopefully we can get it done and things will pick up after that.

I was all pumped for getting 2 new pets, too. I already had their TCs stowed away in my vault. D:

edit: I'm also not sure what I'm doing wrong with Lyxander? http://subeta.net/petinfo.php?petid=967913 I've read the rules of the pet spotlight like a hundred times and have had others look over his profile, he was even nominated but at some point he was kicked out and I don't understand. Not trying to crap on anyone's winnings but this past spotlight winner didn't even have a story, it was just a description of the character. ._. When I see winners like that I just look at my own pet as a failure and wonder what I'm doing wrong.

As for Lyxander I feel there are a couple of things that might be getting him booted. Part personal opinion, part actual issues. ;)

The fading on the image isn't done all that well. You can still see the hard edge, which makes the fading kind of useless. I know from experience it can be difficult to do right, because you also want as much of the image showing as possible. Maybe fading ins't the best solution. Maybe you should try throwing a border around the image instead, like this.

There's a small issue with the direct speech in your story.

Although it's tempting direct speech shoudln't end on a period. Unless it's a question it should end on a comma, and the following subject 'he' shouldn't be capitalized. So it should look like this:

Now for the personal opinion stuff.

Centered text. I'm not a fan of this. I actually read an article at some point about how centered text is bad, because it's harder to read because your mind has to keep finding the beginning of the new line instead of knowing that it's going to be at the left margin. And I feel like that's true. It's not as fluid to read as left-aligned or justified text.

Also not a huge fan of the hovers, but that's really just me being nitpicky and difficult. :P

I really like the story though. Super cute. Love how it's subeta-related and how the trip to the Bake Stop ends up being for a quest. x)
