After not working on my pets for over a year it feels good to be doing something with them again

... jfc my previous post was a mess, apparently I'm still not awake enough. Oh dear, the music imagery with the world creation is definitely some of the more confusing things in the book, considering how many times they end up imagining and creating everything...

Smooching for art should definitely count! At least in theory? You are killing a few birds with one kis- stone, after all.

I'm still stage three, but I'm hoping for some fins popping out soon enough. :D The waiting is always the worst part during Survival, but I'm excited to see how animorph we eventually get.

I've been doodling a little for possible profile art, but my SAI refuses to save my progress! I added a few more items to Kinslayer's TC though and bought a neela elixir so I can turn him reborn, probably after Survival's over since right now Skitter's eating all my sp. I should draw the profile graphics as well, but I have zero motivation to do that since I have no idea what I'm doing with the actual coding part. :')

Aww losing images is the worst. But you could do a bit of both? Since there's no real rush with the pets who've already won you can do one whenever you feel inspired. ^^

Side note - is anyone having there funds absolutely chewed up by Skitters? So many gorgeous items in Skitter's Den, I have decided that I must own them all. Speaking of which, I'm loving watching everyone's viruses develop, me thinks I'll need to change up my HA to match the colours of mine.

Great. :) They've been changing so many small bits of coding lately, and I think at one point they had something similar to that code added, must have removed it again, which is probably why your profile changed.

The sad thing is that it's almost midday here.

I think the whole creation process could be made far more accessible if it was written in a bit more modern style, Tolkien in general just happens to be really longwinded and confusing. Sometimes I question myself why I still enjoy it as much as I do, because the writing style is hardly as engrossing as it could be.

Wait I take that back, I'm actually not sure if I'm already stage 4 by now, the change seems to be very minuscule. Judging by the leg ..scales? and the newly acquired mouth, I'd say I'm now stage 4 after all.

I agree though, please do not make us Krums, that would just be unfortunate for everyone. (my absolute favorite part about his transfiguration is the little ears on the shark part.

I don't really have anyone but myself to blame, I should have saved my progress before the file had been open for +5 hours... My version doesn't always agree with me about saving times, I should figure out what to do about it.

I have the same problem, I always end up purchasing every single item from seasonal shops just in case, even when I likely won't end up using them much... Skitter's always a good sink though. It does distress me a bit how much it costs, and I usually try to go on a saving spree after the holiday.

The new TC slot system is making that really, really difficult. Same with the Zapper's 400k fee for guaranteed experiments.

I know exactly what you mean, it certainly doesn't help when I love the wigs and want every single colour that it comes in, same with the jackets. The TC slot system (and, of course, MKBs) have been chewing through my funds recently, as well.

Oooh nice! Storm Noktoa's are realy beauts, I will definitely have to get a storm pet at some point, I think.

Not sure on the reborn pet yet, to be honest. Trek is going to be the one morphed, his character is a blacksmith with the ability to store and expel heat through his body. I'm rather tempted by Reborn Reign by the way it looks like it's controlling the flames in its hands.

She's a 15-year-old witch named Fern, she has scars from a spell that went terribly wrong in her childhood because she wasn't advanced enough, and since then her magic has been hard to control. The type of spell she messed up was dark magic and it messed up her entire magical core. Her best friend has convinced her to become a sort of vigilante with a code name and everything. Psilo is short for a type of mushroom. She's also a bit in love with her best friend Emily, who's the opposite of her in every way. Emily is light and bubbly, Fern is abrasive and harsh.

Progress! I started all over with Kinslayer's profile art / possible overlay and .. . this is going to take some time oh dear. Ditched the first two I've been working on, but maybe this one will last me through the initial stages and I'll actually manage to finish it. I'm also still open for TC suggestions if anyone has any ideas, fresh perspectives are always welcome.

I really love the wigs this year, they're all amazing and were my first priority as well. The tc slot system is just so easy to use, it's almost terrible how little it takes for my brain to keep saying 'just one more' approximately twelve times. Considering it was introduced as a sink, it's definitely very effective.

My pet plans for the noktoa are so vague right now, all I know is that I desperately want one, but I have no character that would 100% fit one, even though a bunch of my old babies could use a bit of a facelift so there's certainly possibilities.

The reborn rreign sounds like a very good match for a blacksmith, the pose really works for the concept! The velosotor also seems to be manipulating fire, but the look of it is definitely a bit more.. evil.

... that's a very good way to divide it, I should probably do it too. Except that my breakfast usually consists of two cups of coffee.

Looks like we're going to have a biiit more fin soon, I'm so excited. I'm also really curious what the mouth will end up looking like, I have a feeling there will be a somewhat more.. Jaws-y look to this strain before it's done.

Witch girlfriends --- ❤️ This character sounds like the kind of character whose story I could listen to for hours, it's everything amazing and then some. I used to RP a witch-esque story with a friend ages ago, still have a soft spot for them.

First of all, the art is looking spectacular! :D Yeah, I went straight out and purchased the wigs in every colour, simply couldn't go past them. In addition to sinking money into the slot purchase themselves, I also find myself more willing to spend sp on items to put into the pet's treasure as well, since it's so easy to have the space to put them in.

To be fair, I have certainly been guilty of that. Recently, I got a GA and adopted a bunch of new pets, which was slightly counter-productive considering that I still haven't finished the profile, art and stories of a lot of my original pets. ^^; But I am sure the inspiration will come.

Haha, would you believe that the Rreign and Velosotor were precisely the two species that I was torn between for Trek? XD I have the potion all ready to go, so I think I shall have to go with the Rreign. :)

Emily actually isn't a witch, she has super strength and durability, so she doesn't entirely get Fern's more nuanced powers haha. Which is why she thought "boom, vigilantes, we can totally do this", when Fern has trouble not making things explode. Em also doesn't know about Fern's crush at the beginning of the story, but they do eventually start dating when they're a bit older.

I did the same, couldn't resist them especially since all the colors looked like they could be used for various HA types. I've noticed the same about spending more money on expensive TC items now, before I'd just tag it as a WL item and ... wait and wait forever. I used to do WL shopping sprees though, now I guess it's a bit more consistent. I still haven't finished a single pet's profile either so don't worrry... It is rather sad now that I think of it though, considering how long I've had some of them.

Well that's good XD I can see why those two species were your initial choices though, they have pretty similar auras and would both suit the role. Personally I think the rreign looks more neutral while the velosotor has a bit of a chaotic look to it, but that might just enhance the pet's personality? Always glad to help even when I do so unknowingly :')

Thank you!! It accidentally started out as an 'oh my god my lineart is on the sketch layer'-disaster, but it's actually surprisingly fun to work on the lines this way, and I think I'll actually end up a bit more satisfied with this than I usually would.

I used to drink tea pretty much 24/7 (still kind of do), so I had to switch to coffee in the morning to actually wake up. :') I consume way too much caffeine, should do something about that because it's probably not healthy.

So far the strain looks so... tame, compared to the other ones. I'm a bit terrified what will happen later, the slow progress is a bit suspicious.

Have any pet plans for today? Aside from smooching for art, that is.

Haha, classic mistake. I do that with my graphics too, except there I can mostly save it, because stuff doesn't overlap. But it looks great even if it still has the sketch underneath. I often find keeping the sketch beneath the lines can give it a bit more 'life'.

Ahh, that makes sense. The tea itself has no effect anymore. I only have like 1-2 cups a day. Mostly I just drink water all day. I'm weird like that.

It does a bit. But with the mouth opening up on stage 6 I'm hoping we get a pretty gruesome grin soon.

... Nope. I have some commissions I've ignored for too long I really should work on. And technically I'm done smooching for art. Unless I decide to go for another... I should maybe do that.
