Yeah, basically my problem as well. I've had the same batch of hearts from the last few years. at one point I had like 8k which was impressive. I may have to start hoarding them again.

It's most certainly quite heavy reading, you could say that yeah. :') It gets a lot easier after you've memorised at least some of the names. (and how the name system with different languages works).

And yup, Firstborn and Kinslayer actually. Firstborn is currently my zapper victim (so far with no luck), but I'm torn between making him that peacock exp or something glacier. I think I want to make Kinslayer reborn (perhaps neela) since it fits both the character's features and the.. painful awful way how he ended up dying, lmao.

(the characters in question are Fingon, the firstborn son of a king, and Maedhros, who tried to recover the stolen Silmarils and ended up, well, slaying his kin for it. Together they more or less united their people, and there was lots and lots of drama and tragedy. )

Also my coding for their profiles is super glitchy at the moment but right now I can't really bother figuring out what it is that's causing it.

I started getting a bit more banter once I remembered to check all the finished quests from the log (the little diamond thing) as well as codex entries, but it's a bit tedious. Some say that using only the war table to travel helps with the banter bug, but I haven't noticed any difference really. I think they said they'd try to fix it properly in the next fix batch though, so shouldn't take all that long.

That's great! I guess it could be compared to Asoiaf, but the writing style is more archaic and the narrative in general has more of a storytelling quality to it. It can get a bit tedious to be honest.

Well I wasn't comparing the stories per say. Just the mass amount of characters. Maybe I should read a wiki entry or something. Get acquainted with the main characters before reading. x)

Yeah the stories themselves are quite different X) They're both quite similar with the abundance of characters though, like you said. What makes Silmarillion even more confusing is that the majority of the characters have multiple names, depending on where they are and who is speaking... .

The writing is a lot dryer than The Hobbit or even Lotr though, as there's very little dialogue / micro-interactions since the story itself is just so massive that there's no room for it.

It's divided in a couple of main parts [World creation, drama with Noldor and the Silmarils, Númenor issues, the Rings]. Of these, the Quenta Silmarillion (aka Noldor drama) takes up the vast majority of the book and I'd call it the most central in terms of plot. The Fëanorians in particular are very important plot-wise : D

Gonna have to do some google-fu in order to fix it if I can. They only talk once or twice in an hour, if that.

Now that's just cruel. Multiple names. ;__; And so much plot... I think I'll try reading a bit. Though I might have to quit pretty fast since reading on the pc isn't my fave thing. -_- So difficult to focus.

if you can figure out a way to fix it, please share ;~; I'd love to get more banter, it's one of the best things about the game. Mine usually trigger straight after fighting something, and most of the time I get another piece a few minutes later, but then it gets awfully quiet for way too long.

the multiple names thing is such a nuisance, but I've got to admit I'm a bit of a sucker for such things. The other day I tried to track down all the names they call this one character, and ended up with four names + one nickname + a double meaning for one of the names since it had different meanings in different languages. e__e Tolkien really liked to torture his readers.

I definitely agree though, reading on PC is super eye-straining and not comfortable at all. ;c

Doesn't help that the names are so foreign unless you're super comfortable with the tolkien-verse.

Hello hello, how is everyone enjoying Survival so far?

I'm totally pumped for new Sweetheart colours, I've gotten my Sweetheart Potion and am keen as beans to finally morph Mulberry into some sort of Sweetheart pet.

Survival is a lot of fun! I'm also excited for more Sweetheart pets! In fact, I just got myself a Sweetheart Wyllop. :3 I hope we get a Sweetheart Aeanoid this year...

Got a new pet named Psilo, based on an OC of mine. Working on her now. I've never had a Graveyard Pet before, I don't think, so this is new and exciting.

Do you want to share more on Psilo? I'm always curious hearing about other people's OCs. ;u; It's been years since the last time I had a GY pet, I kind of wish I still had room for said character but the name I want is taken. ;c

whoop, I think I accidentally deleted the ping event and then forgot to reply, my bad. The names definitely take some time to get used to, but after some time at least the Elvish names start to make a bit more sense. (All the Fëanorians have their names end in -finwë etc, which comes in quite handy when you need to remember who is related to who). Have you been working on Poirot (or others) by the way?

Thanks :) Mulberry was actually an extremely lucky pound catch on my part, I saw her in the pound and absolutely had to have her. I have a couple of ideas buzzing around, but nothing super firm as of yet, I'm waiting to see what the new Sweetheart pets there'll be and see if on e of them sparks some inspiration. I just know that I want Mulberry to be a SH pet (I am super big into trying to have a diverse range of pet colours. I've always loved the SH pets, but I haven't had a name that fits one)
