YES BUYABLE TC SLOTS my dream of having huge TC came true 8D (if i just had idea what to put in there lol)

you can do it! Just imagine me cheering for you with pom poms as you write. You could write it in smaller sections, if you've got the basic points down?
:O Are you going to buy her? That's.... like a super massive black hole of an sp sink, but probably worth every penny? (I really wouldn't know, my battle pet is only tier 4 lmao.
Yeah, because that's not going to distract me at all. :P
I have most of the basic points down. Except for the ending I think. But I guess that might come to me when all the rest is done. x)
I plan to. If I chicken out once I have all the sp is another matter. I could just as easily spend it all on art and tc items. xD Though I plan on buying tc items once I have the weapon anyway.
You could always leave it as an open ending? :D Although I'm sure it'll come to you once you actually get into the flow of writing hehe.
It'll only hurt once and then it's over and you can focus on art and TC slots ;D How many people even own a Natasha on this site, anyway? The item price is beyond ridiculous.
I'll have to see what works when I get there.
Hehe, exactly. I really do want some more weapons. Isidra is tier 12 and deserves some new toys. Besides I can't keep borrowing all my friend's weapons. xD Well I probably could but it'd be nice to have some good stuff of my own.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! And yep, it's always nicer to have your own cool stuff, I'd say worth it. :')
Speaking of pet stories, I've been stuck with Shan's for ages now. He's one of my oldest OCs (I believe he turned 10 some time last year?), but I have no clue what to do with him. I only have a general idea for him after I completely scrapped his old story. ´---`
Thanks. I'll need it. I've been writing a bit here and there when I think of something, so hopefully I can have it done by... end of february. If I keep on writing each and every time i think of something, instead of just going over a couple of great sentences in my head and then having forgotten them when I finally start writing.
Shantay? (also likes to stalk through pets :P) He's got a really pretty design. :o Tell me about your general idea?
Sorry for disappearing! I'm moving from flat to another little by little so the progress is painfully slow because we only have one tiny car in use orz.
You could always set aside some time from your schedule (like 15 min or half an hour) just to write? I also suggest writing down those couple of great sentences so that it's easier to build around them when you see them in a more physical form than just the ideas in your head : D
And yep, that's him! Thank you, I have to admit that I've grown quite fond of him over the years... He used to belong to a roleplay where he was a healer on the run after he messed up and almost killed one of his teammates. Ended up saving his life by binding them both to a spirit. Friend's spirit OC quite changed his attitude towards spirits, less as tools of trade and more as persons of their own. (fun fact: we also had a tarsier AU for them. For some godawful reason I cannot even remember anymore.)
The new concept was for him to belong to a will-o-wisp sort of community that hides their village in a thick fog (?) and leads all outsiders astray until they lose themselves in the night desert. There was supposed to be play with bird silhouettes and horned monsters as scare tactics etcetera, but I'm rather stumped on what to actually do with him because now the ideas are a bit all over the place without much coherence. /:
Ouch, that's gotta be super slow. D; Just the trunk+backseat of a small car really can't hold a lot of stuff.
Mmm, I really ought to force myself to just write a little every day or something. He so deserves to get some love and have his story finished. And definitely get out of my habit of spinning long parts of stories in my head that I can never remember later. I've done that too many times.
Oh. :o I gotta say I love that will-o-wisp idea. The best defense is a good offense or however that goes. ;) Making sure no one gets to their village by seriously disorienting them.
First of all, I've been gone a couple of days and just read the news, I am SOOO excited about being able to buy treasure slots directly (I knew you would be thrilled about that in particular, ). It was also enjoyable to discover that I wasn't the only one who had dedicated categories in their vault to toss treasure items for their pets that they could not yet actually put into their treasure. Ah, totally going on a TC spending spree! This is beyond fantastic! :D
I do agree that writing the story does bring a special kind of struggle to the mix. I'll easily spend hours editing something, before deciding I don't like it anymore and just highlight and delete the whole thing. XD
Yes! It's a pleasure to meet another stubborn self-coder :P I feel like I would make quicker, easier progress on my pets if I could code a little better, but I am determined, and I believe that I am improving, slowly. Although, I'm still at the stage of my profiles where I'm more like "Eh, that'll do" rather than, "Perfect! It's Finished!"
Haha, deleting the whole thing is bad. But yeah I can spend hours editing as well. On one sentence too if I just can't get it right. -_- And then eventually I'll hate the story and decide I need to rewrite it. xD So yeah, I feel the same.
I joined this ages ago and even got too lazy to post...
But I'm thrilled that I finally managed to put some work into someone
ugh same same same - I feel like I'd actually /do/ something with my pets if I managed to code pretty profiles for them, but now all of them sans one are stuck with a premade I've only tweaked a little. (I really adore 's premade profile code, but since it's not my own code it feels wrong to use it. :') Lurking on the CSS compendium thread and threading through w3schools tutorials has been tremendous help learning to understand stuff better though.
Yup, horribly, horribly slow. And lots of see-sawing between places A and B, ugh. Thankfully I don't really have any larger pieces of furniture, but jfc I own way too many books.
Have you written today? Go write today. |: (I should do the same, instead of just.. planning to do so) And thanks! I've always been curious about will-o-wisps and all the mythology surrounding them hehe. Is there a word for them in Danish?
Welcome!! And congrats for the progress! Sadly your link is broken though, I think it directs to your 'edit pet' page, since it's telling me that I'm unauthorised to view it. :o
, Oops! I copied the wrong link lol. It's fixed now ^_^
Haha, I can imagine. Most large pieces of furniture can be taken apart though, making them a lot easier to move. Timeconsuming though. But yeah, books. They get really heavy, real quick.
Nope not yet. But you're right. I should. And so should you.
It took a bit of poking around wikipedia (because I could legit not remember what they were called) but I found it. They're called 'Lygtemænd' (plural). I think the lore is pretty much the same as with will-o-wisp's. Mainly appear in swamps and moors, they have lights, trying to lead people off the safe path. There's even a bit about them making people imagine they're facing their worst fears.
That's true, for once I'm happy literally everything I own is from Ikea.
I don't think I've heard the worst fear part, that's actually really interesting and maybe something I could mix in with Shan's story. Fears and disorientation :o In Finnish they're called 'virvatulet' (plural) or 'aarnivalkea'. I dug up a bit more and found out that the aarni are some type of elven guardians or ghosts who hide their treasures under wisps, never knew that before.
Time to write!
Jamey sounds so adorable! What do he and Beckah talk about for hours on end? I'm curious :')
Ikea ftw. It's so practical.
I hadn't heard of that either. But apparently they live of off their victim's fear so it makes sense that they would try to scare them as much as possible. And apparently people think they guard some sort of treasure which totally explains why anyone would go looking for them.
Yes, go write. The best time to do so is when you've just thought of something new to include. Let the excitement drive you. :P
I got my Natasha yesterday so now I'm just spending my last bits of sp on tc items. I decided to make a real effort towards getting Poirot's tc sorted out. Got the first 6 books finished. :D (27 to go)
...you know, that's given me something to think about LOL. I'll get back to you on that, maybe I'll have to ask them ;)
Really just rambling lazy desc without any plot, but at least it's something for now? It hasn't been through betas and probably won't even stay up all that long, but at least it's no longer lorem ipsum. I really should do something about his profile one of these days.
But oy congrats!! Now you can blast all the new challengers into oblivion just by waving her around a bit o/ And good luck with Poirot's TC, gathering items is always the best part.
I need to dash again, hopefully I'll get the rest of my stuff moved today. e__e
That's great though. :o I really like it. Yeah it's unfinished but it's a great start.
Thanks. :) The most important part is that I can still beat Prodigy with the new weapon, so I'm happy. And now I can focus all my sp on my pets. Which is nice after so many months of saving.
Oh good luck. I hope the rest of the move runs smoothly. ^^
