I just remade my pet Lyxander's profile and I'm pretty proud of it!! http://subeta.net/pets/Lyxander I think it looks alright, considering I don't know what I'm doing. I wasn't sure how to make the hover text visible without being too "omg look at me", if you know what I mean?

Any feedback about how it looks in other screen dimensions or internet browsers would be awesome ;-; Or tips about how to make it better or anything

I'm kind of a lazy pet person, or more of a bad pet person I guess I wonder if more people, like me, love the pets but aren't into making stories and human/other species characters for their pets and making profiles etc. I have absolutely no problem that other people do, and there are many really cool and interesting ones, I just never got into it, it's a concept I don't really understand... I guess I like my subeta pets as just subeta pets in a way, and I also completely suck at making stories. Specially since I'm guessing there's not a lot of official info/background on subeta pets, though I admit, I don't really read subeta lore >>' But from what I've seen most people don't make stories/bios that follow subeta lore at all, and a lot don't have much to do with the pets themselves. I never got that. I do plan stuff for my pets, but only so far as to giving their TC some items to match my vague ideas for their temperaments xD I've made some sketches of some them years ago but eh. I don't even like gijinkas much anymore and I'm not a furry either. Idk. Sometimes I'm giving one an item and I'm like "wait he has hooves, so how could he use this". Please don't take this the wrong way, I'm not critizing anyone, just myself really.

I don't know about layout prices since I never had to buy one, I just went and learned how to make them >> But kind reminder that art is a highly skilled work and 10$ for a decent enough full body pic is a steal.

Of course I know not everybody can/wants to spend that much. /I/ rarely allow myself to spend that much. But still.

Well, that's perfectly okay? Personally, I'm just very creative I guess and making up stories and characters is a way to let some of that out. I do it all backwards anyway, I don't snag nice names and think hmmm, so what kind of a character I could make with it, I come up with a character out of boredom and then maybe look for a name/species, so that I can pretty it up and post for all to see. I treat my pets more as a gallery of ideas than anything else XD

I understand the making a character part, it's pretty fun... I have tons of OCs, but I try not to make OCs out of or into avatar sites (sometimes I fail xD) cause of copyright mess when I draw and sell my art etc. But I really like the subeta pets, so the reason I adopt them is the pet designs... so if I changed them to a human elf girl (just as random example... I have a lot of elf girl OCs xD) I wouldn't really be using the pet design I got them for, I'd be making a normal OC (though my OCs also rarely have stories). But what you said about gallery of ideas makes sense and describes it well, that's how I see people use it, I just don't really "get" myself. It feels kinda like an outsider I guess when it comes to pets. Though I'm sure there are all kinds of different people with different ideas about how to use the pets feature, I've just never seen this type of discussion of it so I was curious. I hope I'm not being rude ^^'

Sorry - I know art is like a major skill. Trust me, I'm aware (I bought a tablet thinking with the right tools I would magically be amazing. Long story short, I was not.)

I am just probably a terrible miser and super super super cheap. I hate spending sP on anything except beanbags.

Sometimes I just get really sad when I see what the prices are now. That being said, I did pay 75 million for my art on Cooter - so I am willing if I feel its worth it. It just really.. really...hurts.

So's earning SP. Sure, it might seem easy but it takes over 2hrs for me to do everything I can around here and I only make about 3-4 mill, if that. Without a GA, (and the autopricer) it's even harder and adds another two hours for restocking. (And that's if I sit here and do nothing else but the dailies.) So don't act like I'm just being a brat that's doing nothing. Earning SP is fucking work and if they want to charge 50 mill and 20 USD for their art and 1000csc is 50 mill, they're not exactly being fair to themselves or the users. Not to mention us Canadian's and anyone else out of the US has to deal with conversion that can be anywhere from 2-6 dollars extra.

Tell me about it. I don't even like paying more than 20 mill, even for the official subeta pixels.

Personally for $10 I'd only do a half body sketch or a simple chibi, and only for online personal comissions with 1 or 2 simple revisions, but I take many hours on my art and have studied it all my life, so this is already much below minimum wage in the USA (I live in Brazil though). Some people draw really quick, though it also depends on the style and work needed for the piece. But everyone has different standards.

Haha, when I buy wishlist items I don't usually go above a MILLION.

Well, I definitely feel you on the conversion fees because I happen to live in the middle of Europe and already had the dubious pleasure of converting to Euro, USD and GBP. It's a bitch, agreed xD but saying an artist should give a discount because they live in a different country than a person who approached them in the first place is a bit ridiculous... You just got to remember that, like with any other job, you are quite literally paying for renting a number of hours of their life for your own uses. How much do YOU value an hour of your life at? I understand making any kind of money takes time and hey, I am actually genuinely impressed by your 3-4 mil a day here, I certainly don't make that much. But you've got to pay a fair price for all that time spent on you, and, contrary to popular belief, most people don't actually turn out a full body colored flawless miracle in two hours... or even two evenings. That was common labor price though. The difference you are paying on top of that is a sort of a fee that comes from the fact that they spent hundreds of hours working on acquiring the skill and you didn't.

As for why someone may want to have prices so different... it's very likely that they are counting them in two entirely different, unrelated ways, one by, say, minimum wage and the other by some sort of estimate by how fast one makes sP on the site... precisely because they know straight conversion would make the sP prices very steep. In which case, if you are so unwilling to spend fake money, why don't you just buy a 1000 csc card with those 10 bucks (one third of the price??), sell it and go get the art with received sP.
