Hey guys, do you think it's better to get an overlay with transparent, or white bg? (lol dilemmas. I'm just poor until the beginning of next year, ok?)

also holy shit, that overlay is really really pretty. You kinda made me remember I had a canine pet I left an unfinished mess last year... ._. Uh oh.

You mean when submitting as custom? Depends on your personal preference I suppose. Most places on subeta have a white background anyway, so you won't be able to see the difference. And if you decide to show it on the pet's profile you can still code in the other version if you want to.

I prefer the transparent bg for my custom pets, but that's just me.

Soo, no drawbacks, no places where it will look strange as far as you can think of? Unless someone has custom css with dark bg, of course.

Not for me so far, nope. Both my main battler and currently active pet have transparent backgrounds.

When submitting for a custom, I always submit it with a white BG, or however I submit it. Sometimes I don't know because the art program I use (PaintTool Sai) doesn't indicate whether the new canvas is transparent or a white BG.

For profiles? For Elfric's profile, I went with transparent. I just thought his design looked better with a dark background. -shrugs- Doing the same with Yoru. Outside of profiles, I don't mind the white BG otherwise.

I will probably go with a transparent one, I'm currently using one like that as her profile overlay, with slightly transparent background-color, so more convenient for me. Thanks!

Well it does look weird for me when I view the news directory, because for some reason the white background is gone there, and my customcss shows. But other than that I don't think it'll look weird anywhere since they use qhite or close to white colors.

@ Silverfish thanks :) Rott's an amazing artist, I haven't found anyone who does canines better. :D (ps I just saw the pic of Programmer you got done, she looks amazing!) @ sonata soon I will have an army of overlays! Haha I was so excited when I saw that commissions were open, I almost flipped my coffee table. n_n I'm waiting for it to get approved. Poor Rah, or whoever does the approvals, they're probably drowning in overlays. :P

Got four more pets thank to the sale! Unfortunately I only have vague ideas for all of them, haha. I'm somewhat tempted to get more while the sale is still going, but CSC is so expensive right now. ><

Getting pet slots is super tempting, but I have two pets with no ideas and two empty slots already, so I should probably just save my csc for other things. ^^;

Haha, yep, so thank you for that tip (; I remember seeing their art once and thinking I might want to commission them but then thingss happened. (I still can't get over how fast they are btw, it's insane) I'm trying to rig some sort of 'glitching' css animation for it right now, predictably it's not that easy though xD

I know what you mean. I want one of every special color Telenine, but I only had ideas for a couple(one of which has a name clearing in late December, so I might pick up one more slot /shrug), so I wound up getting other pets instead. Oh well, so far I have 7/13(not counting spectrum since I already have blacklight) of the ones available.

Nice. That's why I went ahead and got some slots, too. $20 is a bit much sometimes, but $10 is easier to justify. xD

4 seems to be the magic number!! Hehe right? But if its the last chance then I think we are okay! I had so many names I wanted. I could have bought 20 pet slots if I had the money. It was really hard to narrow them down.

Yeah I had a hard time limiting myself to only four slots. I only had 10 since I recently started playing so I was worried it wouldn't be enough. I guess if I end up needing more I'll have to either wait for loyalty slots or pay out the 20 dollars :o

I jokingly told my boyfriend he'd need to give me 100 dollars for pet slots and he laughed. LITTLE DID HE KNOW I was serious! Though I ended up buying my own slots anyways haha.

Haha! That's so funny. 10 pet slots sure would be nice though! Oh true. Loyalty boxes give you pet slots, forgot about that! The only thing that stinks about that is the OCD I'd have from having weird numbers of pets on my profile. :P

UGH SAME! I want a Nightmare Neela but I am holding Kiss the Girl for a friend so I can't make her until after I send her along, since I would be going crazy over the odd number.

Well you can get plenty more slots in time. To get all those telenines. ;) It's so much better to get pets you actually have ideas for, for now.

I kind of feel bad having pets without solid ideas, but so far, even with a friend trying to help me, I haven't been able to make anything stick for these two. In time though. I like their names too much to give them up.
