I was kinda put off on how Clara and 12 interacted and even just how they behaved by themselves. She was being particularly vain and bitchy and he was being particularly douchebaggy. Or am I the only one that got those vibes?

I'm not taking much of it at face value. He just regenerated so their relationship is going to be unstable right now. At her vain points, I think that was Moffat taking jabs at the new Whovians were only in it for the younger doctors.

It wasn't like Rose was 100% accepting of the 10th doctor right at first either.

Anyway, I liked this episode. I wasn't blown away, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I wasn't 100% sold on Capaldi at the beginning, but towards the end, I really started to love him. I think he's going to be pretty great.

I actually want to watch next week's episode, which hasn't been true for me for about two seasons now, so I guess that means it was a good episode, lol.

I feel like I still don't know what Capaldi's Doctor is going to be like, but it always takes a few episodes and I have faith.

Anyways, I think Capaldi is going to beat Eccleston. Nine used to be my favorite modern Doctor, but I really liked Twelve. Time will tell, I guess.

Yes, me too! Do you watch Classic Who? I think he's more similar to classic Doctors because he does less running and more thinking. Definitely a positive.

Also, I liked how the episode was longer and it paced itself, instead of rushing the end like a lot of 11th Doctor episodes did (coughcoughTHEPOWEROFTHREEcough). I hope the other episodes are like this too.

I get a rather Three-and-Six-ish feel from Capaldi so far, though like I said he's still got to settle a bit.

I just watched the episode, maybe it's because I've set my expectations sky high but I was really disappointed :(

Peter's acting was a bit forced, I thought he was going to bring sexy back with a taste of the classic Dr. who (pre-2005 edition) it could have been the script working against him though, that episode was way too flimsy, too much going on without enough time dedicated to each sub-plot/event... shame really, I've waited for so long ;__;

Anyone else suspect that Missy is the one and only impossible girl? it would explain why she knew the term and used it in the plot. also they're both brunettes (likes to keep life simple)

YES HE IS LIKE THREE. I knew since he was announced as the Doctor that he would be like Three. I Thought his outfit was going to be like Three's with less frills, and I was kind of right. As for Six, I'm not a fan of him (Colin Baker is a great actor, don't get me wrong, it's just the writing really). I guess I didn't really get to know him much. He strangled Peri and then I was done with him, I couldn't bring myself to finish an episode of him. If you like Six, could you recommend a good episode for me to watch?

:D I like the idea of them, but I feel like the execution isn't very . . . polished? I don't know. They have had some great moments, but there are also a lot of moments where their lines and the humor seem more like something fans would come up with. Amusing, but it seems a little off for the actual canon. I'm sorry I'm not explaining myself very well!

I take back what I said about the garden being TARDIS-like. The same garden was used in The Girl Who Waited and the fountain that looked like a TARDIS console is in that too. Must be a coincidence.
