Oh, love... I don't know what to say. I am sorry from the bottom of my heart, I truly am, but I know that won't make things better.

If you ever need anything, I'll do my best to help. This is painful for anyone, but it's always the worst for the person who loved them most. lost his dog a few months ago, and while I didn't live with him, I did love her myself.

It still hurts ME that she's gone... It's much worse for him. I can't imagine how you are feeling, watching her go like that.

I don't think losing my rat/hamster counts, for all that I held them to the end. A dog you've known for half of your LIFE has got to be much harder to lose...

I know how that is - I lost my 2 year old German Shepherd to a rattle snake. He was bit and within five minutes his throat was closing and he couldn't breathe. All I could do was hold him while he panicked, looked to me for help and then died. It was a feeling of true helplessness. I've never felt so terrible in my life. Cause we were at least 20 minutes from the vet, and he was down and dead in 10 minutes max. I felt SO terrible, even to this day ( 2 years later) I still get teary about it.

-hugs- I know it's hard, but just remember that she is in a better place now, and that she's no longer in pain.

Thank you so much for caring,it really means alot to me. I'm sorry about 's loss too.... It's saddens me to hear someone's dog has died, even if I don't know the dog :c

Right now...I feel...nothing it's like...I can't feel It's like part of me is missing... Like...what made me ME is gone. I feel like I can't function anymore... I've never felt like this before... and I have clinical depression, too.

I've had many other pets go as well, but none of them hurt me this much after they were gone.

God...that sounds terrible... I'm so sorry... German shepherd's are great dogs. My first dog (that I can remember) was a German shepherd...I had to give it away because we couldn't take care of it her name was Precious (my dog that just died was named after her) she was only a month old or so... after we gave her away, well,we gave her to one of our neighbors and not even a week later did she get out of their house and get ran over by a car... :c I'm surprised I actually remember that puppy, since I was about 5 at the time.

Thank you...

Yeah she really was... Thank you.

): I'm so sorry. That's terrible. Our doggy who was 7 died a few summers ago.. it was really sad. She was seriously the /best/ dog I've ever met.. very well mannered, friendly, loving, extremely loyal and always listened to commands. She got lymphoma, though, and had tumors all over and before we knew it she was hiding under the deck unable to get up or move totally without any energy. We had to take her to the vet then and put her to sleep. It was so sad and I would randomly find myself crying (during her sickness and after). It'll take a while to get over. I mean you'll never just get over it and forget your dog, but you'll eventually be able to go on. I don't know if this is too juvenile for you, but as soon as she was put to sleep I dug through all my old stuffed animals and found this giant black lab stuffed animal a friend had bought me when I was in middle school. It really helped me sleep at night and I kind of liked to just bring it around with me around the house... it just helped me feel better. Maybe look online for a stuffed animal that looks sort of similar to your dog? It's a little silly but I'm the same age as you and I /still/ to this day will occasionally snuggle up next to my Mandy stuffed animal when I miss her.

That is so sad... She sounds like she was an amazing dog. I don't find the plushie thing juvenile,I still have a teddy bear I've had since I was about 5,that I've always used to help me when I'm depressed Finding a plushie that looks like my dog would be amazing,it would be the cutest plushie ever. heh

Wait, your dog was a lab? My dog was an Australian shepherd/lab mix. She had the most beautiful blue eyes...

Thank you. I don't know how I'm doing... Some of my friends came over today to comfort me and I pretty much just...sat there with a blank stare...doing nothing...just...sitting there... I tried interacting with them, but it was so difficult to even try and think of how to interact... Then later,I went to this park by my house where alot of people walk their dogs,I used to walk my dog there too... I saw a husky whose face looked almost exactly like my dog's..and I started crying...

My doggy was also a lab mix, though she was probably mixed with a border collie we think, though wew aren't totally sure. Mandy's eyes were brown but they were also super preetty. I'd try searching for Australian sheperd stuffed animal on google shopping, and just look through.. there may be one that looks kinda like your doggy. Unless your dog was an even blend between the australian sheperd and lab then you might have a hard time but it's worth a shot! Haha (: This is a pic of my doggy ... she had the cutest face.. Do you have any pics of yours?

Aww sorry to hear that.. Sounds like you're having a really rough time.. things will get easier as time goes on, even though you'll never completely get over it. You definitely will never forget her, it definitely sounds like you two were close as can be. It's good that your friends tried to come around to help get your mind off things, even if it didn't work out all that well.

Yeah it may be a little difficult to find one that looks just like her,but even one that looks similar would be cool.

It hurts to lose a pet. I had to give up my (Otherwise perfectly healthy) 4 year old boy late last year, because I knew I couldn't keep up with his health issues. It wasn't fair to anyone, and no one was happy. But now he is, even though I miss him every day. What's worse is the puppy I got (From a good breeder, this time) got sick last week, and I was SO SURE she was going to keel over and die of parvo. It was just something edible giving her a minor blockage, but I was scared. It sucks to have no money to be able to help the ones you love.

I just want you to know that you have my deepest sympathies. I'm so sorry to hear the news about your dog. I've never really lost a pet, other than a fish, so I can't really relate to you very well. But being someone who is about to be a first time dog owner, imagining what you are going through is just heartbreaking. I'm very sorry for your loss.

I understand the feeling. My rabbit Oreo passed when I was 16 and I didn't know what had happened, I had gotten him for Easter when I was 10. :/ I don't know what caused his death, but I will never forget how traumatic the experience can be. It will take time, If you need someone to talk to, I will gladly be here for you. I hope that you feel better about it soon. :/

hugs I'm so sorry! I remember crying for days when I los my guinea pig, and it was "only" a guinea pig. I can imagine that losing your dog must be even greater pain. Hope you'll get better!
