lol!! I love pancakes, soooooo much!!!! In fact, I think I will make myself those for dinner, thank you for the wonderful idea!! I am sure it will make me feel better; such a comfort food. :) Did you put anything fun in your pancakes? Like chocolate chips, mnm's, fruit, anything? I sometimes add tang, chocolate syrup/powder, or cool aid powder -- oh my gosh are those pancakes soo good! You need to try some with cool aid!

OHMYGOSH I never thought about putting kool-aid in pancakes! I just had plain pancakes today with lots of butter and syrup. Mmm-mm.

my dad always made my cool aid pancakes because he likes cool/intense/unique flavors -- it just makes them taste so amazing! So you should put it on your list of amazing things to try. :) Make sure to pick out a good flavor though, I always liked the pink flavors (like cherry, strawberry, fruit punch.. sometimes orange (not pink, i know) lol.

yay congrats!! I work at a place that hosts events and last week we had a 300 person event in the morning so we made pancakes. We had one of those huge heated griddle table things that turns by itself and we used this little witchcraft device called a 'pancake dropper' so you could lay out like 30 pancakes in 10 seconds!! It was so crazy but super fun, and all the pancakes actually turned out really good. Not any of my doing, though lmao. All I did was flip the pancakes and drop em' on the griddle.

I haven't had kool-aid in years, I should get some. When I was kid I remember I made my own cherry kool-aid and took it in my lunch for school and some kid made me laugh and shoot it out my nose and the lady who was watching us freaked out because she thought is was a nose bleed. XD

Haha, it hurt, but I remember that I was laughing harder at the supervisor's reaction, which made me tear up more and made her freak out more. Poor girl. XD

lol!! that is funny/would be funny to have witnessed! We like to make my youngest sister laugh while drinking liquids because she either spurts it out her mouth, chokes on it, gushes it out her nose, or drools it down her chest! lol It is always hilarious. for a great time we just use her drinking-abilities. ;) :Plol

My wife makes amazing waffles. I, however, am the mashed potato god.

I love mashed potatoes, my dad's are the best. He has the patience to really whip them so there's no lumps and they're super creamy and garlic-y. ^^

Shit, I'm awful at pancakes. I'm awful at everything, really. Except brownies.

lol I agree, torturing family is the best! That is so funny that you would pin your dad down like that. We used to do the same thing to my dad!!!! lol Only we would play "drown the dad" in the pool, and try to overpower him (of course we never could), it was really fun because he would throw us off him like cannon balls i the air -- SO HIGH!! it was great being a little kid. :P

Mom would get in on it too, which helped. We usually did it when dad had been especially annoying, he can be such a big kid and loved teasing my brother and I. (Something carried over from childhood if my aunt's stories are to be believed XD)

I don't know many dads who don't act like grown up kid sometimes or most of the time) lol I think it's a guy thing, they have this desire to play/have fun all the time.

I don't like "real" mashed potatoes, lol. It's too waxy or gritty or something. I use basic dried stuff but doctor it up with ranch. I make it kind of dry but it's rich with flavor.

Have you tried Idaho Instant Mashed Potatoes? They're the best instant potatoes I've ever had.
