I have done that. I was part of daily item for a while, but I didnt really meet anyone. I decided to try something a bit closer to my own interests so I joined a pokemon one but its really inactive. I shall have to try and find a more active cult I think.

To be honest, most of my friends online have come from off-site and have joined me here. There's only a handful of people I've met on Subeta and even then, I mostly tend to interact with them on other sites.

Now that I think about it, I met a lot of my friends through roleplaying/RP. That section of the site seems to be pretty active, so if you like creating stories or characters, I think that's a great way to collaborate and interact with groups of people. On top of that, RPs typically have topics (such as "Pokemon" or "Subeta Pet") so you can pick and choose what you want. If you're not so into that though, I'd encourage you to look in the "Entertainment" section of the forums. People like to chat in there about various TV shows, video games, and what-not, so it's really easy to stumble into the conversation and chat with fellow fans. :)

I looked at the RP forums briefly but got a bit confused. The titles of the posts confused me a bit. I shall have another look c: I had forgoten about rping. I used to rp loads when I was younger with a friend. Thank you <3

From what I'm looking at right now, I can see how it'd get a bit confusing. It seems the titles are broken into two parts, one which acts like a catchy tagline and one that states the topic to be RPed. For most of the ones in that forum, it appears that the topic of the RP is written outside of the brackets.

If you don't see anything you like, there's an [OOC] RP Planning section of the forum for you to request RPers!

Sometimes I fall out of love with Subeta, but it doesn't mean I have to leave permanently. Take a week off or so and just have some time alone? If you want to chat I'm always up to making new friends. c:

To be honest, because of my constant hiatuses, the friends I have hardly speak to me as well. I'm on subeta now mostly for the avatar system-- I like having something to dress up when I feel like it. I waste all of my time on tumblr now. But it wouldn't hurt to get to know you, right? ... ehehehehe.. ;; /awkward

I would check the cult forum for a social club that advocates being active. I'm not sure if you're 18 or older, but you could give kindred spirits a try. I had a friend who was in that cult and he said they were really active. He was the one that just didn't talk on the forums much, lol.

Im 19 c: I'll definitively have a look around for a more active cult.

I think there's just a high concentration of us lonely blokes here out on the internetz. :/ 's suggestion about joining a nice (cough non-bitchy) cult is a good idea, the cult people seem to enjoy themselves the most here, at least from my perspective.

but anyway, it's kind of hard for me to keep track of IRL friends and subeta friends when my own life is doing some crazy-ass rollercoaster. Sometimes I'll let my Subeta associates know I'm hiatus-ing, other times I just slip away and they don't really notice either way.

I feel this way too. I think my lack of interest in dressing my HA, aside from the penguin, makes it hard to relate and make conversation. I feel like my conversations fizzle out with my friends when I start them so I've sort of stopped.. I've tried my hand at attempting CW's too but oh god it looks like old site art. One day I will have a mini fancy penguin wearable!! One day! It makes me feel uninteresting when I wake up to no pings or notifications for a week. You're definitely not alone in this. I'm trying to put myself out there more and tell more stories about my experiences in the chit-chat forum. Maybe one thing I say will catch someone and go from there!

I've almost crept past without posting but that's kinda what is wrong with me and why I have so little active friends now. Read: one. And that one is a stalkee. (poor them) I'm scared to join cults. I'm afraid I will remain an outsider and how they all know each other beforehand intimidates me, I'm always the loner hanging on the edge of a group anyway and basically don't think I'm particularly cool or interesting or stuff so I don't wonder why. Try...coming up with some social initiative? I voluntereed to help moderate Fanpets thread and...okay, no lies, it didn't do anything to my 'popularity'. But at least I feel sort of useful and good for something. =_= Anyway, if you ever have a longer conversation with someone it's nice to keep tabs on them (difficult for me, I keep forgetting usernames) and at least throw a hi their way/ask what's up from time to time if you see them on forums. Maybe they asked a question in the help forum and you know the answer or something.

I've honestly thought of making some kind of 'my post is the only one on the whole page that gets overlooked/ignored' club, I've presumed it'll be one person exclusive but you are free to bring sandwiches and maybe we can sort of hang around together ignoring each other in a socially awkward loner way. D= And Chen... right. That idiot's guide is totally still in the works but I had stuff coming up etc. Not giving up on it yet anyway!

I once wanted to be a moderator, but I live in the UK and cant really be one. Other wise I would have done. Its nice to know your helping out c: I tend to forget some user names if it involves numbers. But some user names I remember easy, like the pokemon user names, or ones that make me giggle.
