-Darren watched Ambrosia as she shook her head and said nothing, talking to Elke instead. She seemed disappointed. "Great job, letting another Overlander into the city like this," a blonde guy (Luke) said sarcastically. "It was an accident." Darren said, frowning. "Yeah, sure..." Luke muttered, shaking his head. "Luke, enough," Panthea purred quietly. Luke rolled his eyes, turning away.

Elke heard Luke's angry comment and, although she was a bit scared of this guy, she thought she should step forward to help Darren. "Um... Hello, Luke. My name is Elke. It wasn't Darren's fault, I followed him down," She said, her voice its usual softness. "Don't be upset, it's really my fault," Elke looked at Luke, hoping he'd forgive her.

- "Um... Hello, Luke. My name is Elke. It wasn't Darren's fault, I followed him down," the Overlander girl said in a soft voice. Luke turned around, surprised. "Don't be upset, it's really my fault," Elke added. "It's ok," Luke said, feeling rash for overreacting. "Its no big deal. Nice you meet you," he said, nodding his head slightly.

Key loked over at Luke, he was really cute, there was something about him.She shook her head, stopping her mind from wondering. She looked over at Panthea and laughed nervously." I'm feeling better, they said it was a minor concussion, broken wrist.... bruised ribs... nothing too serious. She pointed to the bandage on her forehead." I apparently hit my head on a rock when I was thrown and ended up with a minor gash on my forehead. It's all healed.. I was just under observation for the week... I sorta decided to check myself out early..." She rubbed the back of her neck nervously.She knew Panthea would probably give her a lecture about sneaking out of the hospital. Tobias nudged Key with his head comforting, understanding there was nothing to be done about his bonds stubbornness.

Kat looked over as she watched Darren and another overlander come into the arena. As they all talked she stood back and listened. She then stepped forward next to Luke. " Hello Darren... and Elke. I'm Paige... I have to agree with Luke on this. Or at least part of this, I believe we should trust Darren, if shes his friend I'm sure shes won't tell about us. But Darren, you know it will trouble us if others know about the Underland." She spoke quietly.

Elke gave a relieved smile to Luke, and then turned to Paige. "I won't... I'm really just fascinated by this. You guys have lived here your whole lives? and... wow! Are your eyes purple?" She gasped, leaning forward to see Paige's eyes. "And your skin is so pale!" She held up her very tanned forearm against Luke's pale one. "This is just amazing," Elke looked around her, really taking in everything.

Ambrosia chuckled at Elke. The girl seemed very sweet and kind-hearted. Let's hope she doesn't find herself face to face with a rat.... Ambrosia thought, frowning. She shook her head, assuring herself things were fine, then stepped over to Darren and wrapped her arms around his, pulling him into a warm hug. "I'm glad you're back," She smiled at him and stepped back, her cheeks feeling warm. Which was bad, very very bad. Because of their pale skin, even the mildest of blushes appears red as a tomato.

Matias pushed off the cliff, Demitris on his back, neither made a sound as they circled the city. "Who's that?" Demitris asked, nodding at a group of teenagers hanging around a couple of bats, he didn't expect an answer from his bat, "let's go find out," the bat plummeted in the direction of the group of kids, landing not to far from their group abruptly. Demitris hopped off, teenagers, but two of them weren't from around here. "Luke, Key, Paige," he greeted them each the way someone older than them would greet them, a combination of mild respect and contempt. "Who's this?" he asked, crossing his arms, he was not exactly a warrior type of person, that was more Key, adventurous, quick to attack, a fighter; but that didn't take away the strange need to protect the city that clung to his heart. The boy he had seen on multiple occasions, an Overlander that had found his way here, but he'd been here long enough that the community tolerated him; the girl though, she was new, everything about her was foreign, the stench of an Overlander surrounded her.

Matias looked at his human who stood stoically. He could sense the arrogance and pride on him. He knew Demitris was prone to a strange arrogance whenever he spoke with those who weren't Underlanders. Something was happening though, perhaps it was the threat of the Gnawers, though that had always been present in their lives, he had never expressed so much worry over the Gnawers, or so much arrogance to the Overlanders. Shaking his head, It's just a phase, Matias thought, he'll return to being the humble farm boy he once was. He turned his head to the other bats, standing idle as the humans spoke, they shifted uneasily, patience was a virtue and not everyone could be so virtuous.

Arctic resided in her cave, none of the other bats flew near her, fear was a quality of the weak; if they weren't so weak, perhaps the Gnawers would be dead by now, along side the humans. She didn't believe the humans should have a right to join with them, what was so sacred about the humans that the Fliers should be defiled by having such an ugly thing sitting atop them. They should never have bonded in the first place, the humans should be snacks, not partners. She bit at the fruit in front of her bitterly. A younger bat timidly flew into her cave, Arctic watched it wary, the other bats had always picked on her as children, because she was different, because she was an albino, while they bore their spots and their stripes with pride, she felt humiliated by her pure white fur. The younger bat inched closer to her, wary of the older bat's reputation and appearance, Take one more step, and I will skin you, Arctic thought glaring in the new bat's direction. The younger bat took another step and Arctic let out a the loudest screech she could manage, the bat fled in fear, Arctic frowned, pathetic. Pathetic, and weak. (( Um, Some idle flying, two Overlanders entered Underland, Key got hurt fighting some Gnawers, and dumped some water on a couple, the teenagers were going to school... I hope this helped, sorry if it doesn't :S))

Then again, just because she agrees with me doesn't mean she wants to be friends, he thought. He didn't blame people for not liking him, though. He was rude, but most of the time he couldn't help it.

Darren nodded. "I understand," he said to Key. "Sorry, it won't happen again." He stopped when Ambrosia put her arms around him, and said, "I'm glad you're back," she said. He hugged her back, and smiled when he noticed she was blushing. "Me too," he said. "I haven't seen you in a while," Darren said quietly. "I missed you," he added, blushing a little himself. He turned around when another Underlander, Demitris arrived. "Who's this?" he asked. "Her name is Elke.. she's an Overlander as well. She saw me going down into one of the gateways," Darren said.

Key stared wide eyes at Elke as she got up close to her face and spoke about her eyes and skin. She blinked a bit surprised at the lack of personal space but smiled shyly at the girl She seemed nice, and sweet enough. But it only took one person and their voice to destroy their home. Key shook her head shaking away the tought. She smiled at the other girl and leaned in close to her, doing the same she did for key." And your eyes aren't purple.... and your tan.... how odd...." She smirked and leaned back up leaning against Tobias who had moved to stand behind her." Nice to meet you Elke....." She laughed and looked over at Luke noticing the slight surprise on his face when she had stepped up next to him agreeing with his words. She understood, most people found him rude and impolite. Key found him interesting though, she always wondered what made him that way towards people, and if he was different underneath the sour exterior. Wow, she sounds like a stalker... what could she say, she watched people....she was a prankster... she was use to sitting and waiting... and watching from afar. She glanced back over at Luke before turning her attention to Ambrosia and Darren, she sighed and smiled a small smile. They were adorable together, it was sad they could not be together all the time. She started swinging her goggles in her hand watching everything unfold in front of her. She stood straight and looked over as Demitris came into the arena." Hello Demitris." She nodded a greeting before turning back to Tobias." Do you want to practice, or continuing watching all the love over there..." She motioned to the two hugging each other. Tobias chuckled and motioned further into the arena." How about we practice... but you don't need to over do yourself, your still recovering..." Tobias said in his smooth but stern voice. You only ever heard him speak in this tone to Key, and for the girl who really listened to no one... she would only listen to her bond. She frowned and sighed reaching up to gently touch the bandage still on her fore head." Alright.... fine..... just a few maneuvers then." She muttered pouting a little as she started across the arena, only to stop in front of Luke." Would you care to practice with us?" She asked the quiet boy.

Demitris shifted his gaze to Darren, the Overlander seemed outrageous on a good day to Demitris, but being such a fool as to accidentally lead another Overlander into Regalia? Demitris frowned at him but said nothing, it angered him that the Overlander had been so careless, but who was he to judge him? A mere farm boy dreaming of flying into battle on a bat, to come back with stories of his heroics. No one knew about his dreams, normally he would tell Matias' everything, but Demitris knew his view on soldiers was very low, and he couldn't let a rift grow between them. He walked back to his bat and patted him on the head, conveying to him that he could leave. Matias gave a flap of his wings and flew off, the small cloud of dust the only evidence to his ever being there. Turning back to the group he looked the girl named Elke up and down, for an Overlander she could be considered beautiful, but she stank of their toxins, "Demitris," he said by way of introducing himself, at 27 he was the eldest in the group of youngsters, though he had always held the lowest opinion of his age group, the bunch of idiots, only a handful of them had gotten themselves jobs, even less got fliers. The vast majority of them wasted their lives away, though it wasn't as if he - himself was making any serious moves towards an amazing life.

He rubbed the back of his neck where his tattoos where, a bad habit of his when he thought. Social custom would have him shake hands with the new girl, but he didn't want her filthy Overlander toxins all over him, not to mention he handled the crops that fed the city, he would be just as much to blame if anything happened to the crops and the city was infected. He ran his fingers through his hair, observing the girl named Elke, strange name for an Overlander too, "Shit," he cursed "just be more careful next time,"

A loud screech echoed through one of the tunnels, though in the city, Demitris could only guess it's origins, he had flown among the other bats, and there was one bat that seemed to terrorize the others. A large albino bat that the other's warned about, when you saw her, you flew in the opposite direction. He turned to the others, most of them had fliers, "be careful of the albino bat alright, she doesn't care for the Gnawers, but she certainly doesn't seem to be too kind to her own either."

- "Would you care to practice with us?" Key asked as she passed. Luke glanced at Panthea, who nodded. "Yeah, sure," he said. He looked back, saying bye to the others. "See you," Darren said. "Let's go," Luke said to Panthea. "Do you want to practice the coiler again?" his bond purred. "Maybe in a while?" Luke asked. "Okay," Panthea purred.

Key nodded and smiled at Luke and Panthea before heading over to Tobias and rubbed his neck.The bad let out a purr." What do you want to practice Tobias?" She asked. Her bond nudged his head playfully against her hand. She smiled almost forgetting Panthea and Luke were there, she blinked remembering the other two were there and turned." So, anything specific you two want to practice?" ooc: its alright :)

Key nodded at Luke and thought a moment. " Well I would like to really work on my knife skills, we have been trying a trick where Tobias spins, and well, just does a lot of different maneuvers while I try to throw knives at a target." She shrugged and smiled back at him." I don't really know though, just thought we should move and let those two have some time together...."

"I don't really know though, just thought we should move and let those two have some time together...." she said. He glanced at Darren and Ambrosia, and nodded. "Yeah," he said, before calling over Panthea, who had started flying in loops around the arena.

ooc: Yeah she meant Darren and Ambrosia :) bic: Paige nodded and pulled out her throwing knives pouch from her pocket and strapped it to her thigh. She then pulled on her goggles, wincing when they rubbed on her forehead. She shook it off and whistled for Tobias. He gave her a stern look as he saw her wince but sighed and allowed her to climb onto his back as he took off into the air. She grinned down at Luke as she waited for him to fly up.

Ooc: I'm going to have to drop this roleplay, sorry, but my theoretical plate is really full right now, and my characters really aren't getting too much interaction anyways, sorry :S
