Also, isn't this more of a news worthy type announcement? I swear you said somewhere that many users don't even use the forums (let alone join the siteupdate ping group).

O well. I'll just stare long and hard at the soon to retire higher Upwards Motion achievement tiers. LOL.

I cannot seem to find the stock achievements on the Achievements page - does anyone know where they are? I thought they were under 'Games'. I can only find the Diverse Portfolio one - where are the others? I've tried using the search function but the little loading circle just goes round and round and doesn't produce any results.

(I just wanted to check what achievements I had for the stocks before they are removed!)

I liked stocks, but I didn't mess with them as often as I should have. Sad to see it go but I don't mind overall. As for auctions, I rarely see more than a few people use them.

Good, I'm glad we're getting rid of two useless features. Why use auctions anyways? Trading post has no offer limit, and you're less likely to get ripped off in selling something.

I understand that the auctions are useless because we have a great trade system, that allows us to offer the amount we want. But.it's still important for those who want to get a higher offer on an item. You know, in the offers people don't know what 's the current offer on the item and need to ask the owner...nAnd the stocks... I'm not happy about its retirement, but I can totally understand it

I actually really don't like the idea of the auctions being removed from the site. But its not my site after all. In my opinion, it holds a big part of any economic economy in any type of game. If it was updated to a newer more convenient place to buy items it might be one of the better things on the site rather than the trading post. Its just my opinion though, and removing that feature from the site might hurt it more than help it.

Same with the stock market. If it were to be given a more recent update, shove it in the news with how some stocks are doing then more people would use it.

Neither stocks nor auctions had any kind of positive impact on the economy.

Auctions had none whatsoever and stocks only increased inflation by pumping sP into the system without any balancing measures.

could you give us a date? I wish i could try some stock loss/profit achievements I still don't have... nOh, and for the future, it'd be great if you create a system where the stock valuechange aaccordingly with the amount of stocks bought. Like, if ABC stock has 50k bought and XYZ stock has 5k, then ABC.go down like... 2 sP while XYZ rises 20 sP. It could have some difference between the increase and decrease, so some sP are still bumped into the site (not as many as today), and also for make things kinda random (bc if it follows exactly the way I told, users would buy stocks less bought,). nIdk if that makes sense to you, but I think it would work

I always lost money on Stocks so I never used them. I managed to get all but the last tier of the stock achievement but after that, couldn't pump enough money into them to get that last tier and gave up. lol

NEVER used auctions except for Major Drills. I don't like real life auctions even. I like being able to bid what I'm willing to pay in a trade and leave it at that. :)

Maybe that's where my missing achievements went. Just thinking out loud.

i agree on the removals but suggest adding in some of the other games to the Drills like any of them lol. Thanks for the update

Would be interesting to have it 'happen' in subeta as a world. Like a stock market crash, everything to zero and the guy running it explaining why it had to close down. Then when/if ever you guys do revisit and improve on the idea it could be an event. Lots more work for you guys, probably a lot more complaining because people who never/rarely use it would be upset that it was leaving just to be upset, but maybe fun? LOL I must be a glutton for punishment, I don't blame you guys for doing it the simple way! hehe Thanks for letting us know! :)

I'm fine with ditching the stocks -I never use them - But do we really have to get rid of the auctions page? I really enjoy them!!!

I am happy that I got at least a few Stock achievements under my belt, but I have to say I almost never used it, same for auctions so I'm not that sad to see them go.
