Bees. End of thread.
But really, hornets and wasps and all those nasty things come out and get crazy in the Summer!
Reasons I like summer:
Reasons I dislike summer:
aww, bees are cute. and they make honey! delicious honey. well, unless they're those big ones. but most of them won't sting you unless you provoke them. :u
Sounds pretty nice. I love rain, but we've been in a drought for about two years now. A few weeks ago we were blessed with three days in a row of constant rain. I couldn't even remember the last time we had two days of rain xD Snow, however, is a rare thing here. The last snow we had was on one day for a few hours three years ago, and by it snowing I mean the ground had just enough snow to be completely covered. But it's odd, north Texas gets plenty of snow each year. But anyways, each year we just hope it gets cold enough to kill off the bugs.
The worst thing about summer is seeing idiots walking around in like, micro short shorts that hardly cover their arse... Or seeing kids like, 5 years of age in those same hot pants and stuff.. I understand its hot, BUT BLOODY WEAR DECENT LENGTHED CLOTHES?! And the kids in short shorts just disgusts me! I used to run around in knee length shorts, never did me any harm >.<
//Edit Also my neighbours. Lovely, all of them, but they INSIST on blaring crappy music really loud with the windows open... If I'm chilling in the back garden with a book, trying to get a bit of colour in me, it's rather distracting.
One guy just down the road from me CONSTANTLY washes his car. He'll be outside from 11am through to 10pm some days, just washing his car. And playing crap music, like above...
I also hate how my hay fever gets set off. With everyone cutting their grass and stuff I can't go near an open window without sneezing and having my eyes go all puffy and sore an itchy... It sometimes get to the point my meds don't work :(
I'm type one diabetic, meaning I take insulin. And the heat messes with my blood sugar readings... I'll be fine one minute, then close to passing out cause they're too low the next, simply because of the heat D; QUIT SCREWING WITH MY DIABETES, SUMMER.
Aaaaugh, yes, the loud hobos, and just people talking loudly in general and like shouting to their friends all the time for some reason. And people's cigarette smoke wafting in. But actually last night it was someone on a skateboard, practicing right outside my building at like 11pm. Then they'd go away for a bit, and as soon as I started to drift off, I'd hear them rolling closer and closer until they were right under my window again.
Ohhh I can totally relate. My favorite is when my neighbors decide that shouting to their friends on the street from their window is a good idea and nobody wanted to sleep at 7am anyway. But the worst of it is there's this huge truck that rolls by my window every goddamn morning at 6:30 and I never, ever sleep through it. I've decided to just start getting up then because the world clearly doesn't want me to sleep anymore. That's just what I get for living in the middle of a city :P
When I first moved to the city for school, I lived on the second floor on the alley side, and the garbage truck would wake me up by beeping and throwing the dumpsters all over the place. That thing was LOUD. Good thing I had to get up early for class anyway. D:
I used to love summer and the freedom from school, but I've graduated college aannd work in a bookstore. Now, summer means constant kids in the store, and, even worse, are the textbook and required-reading requests. It's just so busy, and I don't get a real chance to enjoy the season I usually love! :(
Still, I do love soaking up the sun and the veil of laziness that infects everyone when it gets hot!

Not being able to sleep in because the heat wakes you up. Sweating in places you never dreamed existed. Cold showers= too cold Warm showers = unbearable.
BUGS...heat...bugs...sun (I'm on a medication that increases the dangers of UV exposure,so I have to avoid the sun as much as possible)...bugs...mowing the lawn....bugs.
I'm not sure, did I mention bugs?

You sweat more in the summer and tend to get crotch rot >:(
God... mosquitoes. I HATE mosquitoes!!
- yeah, not only do they hurt and itch and generally make evenings unbearable, but now we have to worry about sweet little things like West Nile.

My chef doesn't think we should use air conditioning, that hot food comes from a hot kitchen. The wall thermometer reads 90+ on the cool side of the kitchen all summer. It reads 100-120 on the line. Its not like I can wear flipflops and shorts at work, and its soooo fucking hoooot.
Oh, and you sweat so much you're soaked, so when you go in the walk ins you get chilled to the fucking bone.
not having a schedule. and being bored over half the time. oh and having all your friends be too busy to hang out. and the horrible heat.
THE HEAT. D: Which we haven't had very much of so far, thank goodness! xD Fingers crossed for a mild July and August. ^.^
Today has mostly been wet. I'm taking advantage of the lousy weather to let some fresh air into my room, because the other thing I hate about summer is hot, dry weekends bring out all the people with BBQs and sitting in the garden smoking. Soooo instead of letting in some much needed air I have to shut out the stench of BBQ fuel and cigarettes. T_T Every summer my fingers are crossed for wet weekends.
It's nice to have some sunny weather though. I could just do without the heat and other crap. ^-^
Ooh, y'all, I forgot -- getting burned by the metal bits of a seatbelt which has been soaking up the sun's heat. Ouch!

I love summer, but I hate those dang summer assignments for my AP classes. School never leaves me, I swear.
Bugs! I'm currently taking refuge in my living room because I saw a huge brown spider crawling all over my Kinect at 1 AM. >_>
I think I've seen more spiders and ants this past week than I have during the past 7 months.
Cold showers are amazing during summer. When I was living in Taiwan during the summer, I got very used to taking cold showers pretty much every night to combat the heat.
Also, I lived at the library during summer as a kid, but I was and still am a massive book nerd though.
Anywho,
