I&;d love to have a non-crystal shop method of getting out game items that have been retired for a long time (PLZ MAKE SUGGESTIONS) that is fun and interactive and not just collecting crystals waiting for it to happen.
Vintage Festival during the winter on the Peka festival grounds? Instead of drawing new items for us to buy, just use the old ones. Some for sp and CSC (cfr Yurt fashion tents), but you could still also release one in the crystal shop, one in the token shop, etc. Just throwing a random idea out there!

Yeah, I know. I actually support unretirements all across the board, not just the CS, and regardless of a time frame too. I just think, given the current state of collections, there are way too many rares staff has to keep an eye on, that an assortment of them could be restocked in different places / systems at roughly the same time (November was the example) as part of the Black Friday celebration c: People who don't earn sP regularly would still buy more csc to sell, etc.

Last year was probably my happiest BF anyway, because like nearly every CS item got unretired and I got a shot at things I'd never seen for sale in my whole time as a user. When it comes to CS items, I'd love some more Delish unretirements this year. ^^ *I'm sure there are plenty of books and plushies/beanbags that could come back too!

I think items like the ones in the referral section could become available in different ways, if nothing else, just to serve as disincentive for people to cheat so they could get whatever unavailable item they need / would like to sell for an astronomical amount of sP. They could still retain a lot of value, enough to entice people to try and refer friends.

and everyone else that's finding it hard to get referrals - I personally go to youth fairs and the kinds of places I won't be weird talking to the youngins about Subeta c: (Or I draw things and put referral links on my arts) - it's worked a little so far!

My username is 100% accurate tho. I don't leave my house. THERE ARE PEOPLE OUT THERE.

But can we at least unretire old CS items (trunks, wigs, vanity, boutique) for Black Friday? Because that would still be much appreciated.

Cheating via making multiple accounts is really hard to do. The UAs are on top of the list of new accounts pretty much all day :)

How about a super sale with a special " antique mall" area with different shops that stock older items... I am picturing something sort of like a cross between the Cash Shop set up (with the different tabs, perhaps have one for wearables, another for collection items and a third for food/random stuff?) and the Millionare Center (with the high prices, waits between purchases and seasonal rotating stock)

It's not really interactive but I think a lot of users would be willing to simply buy these items for SP, and aren't you always looking for more ways to get SP out of the system?

glad to know it's on the list at least. It was doing okay a few days ago actually, then it bottomed out again.

It's not that they're hard I don't know people |D Subeta could literally be giving out godlies per referral and the number of people I'd have to refer would still be 0. I would just have to go solicit homeless, which.. I might end up doing if the prizes I have no access to otherwise are just freaking awesome ;__;

Or hope that other social people have points they'll sell (anyone with points... comment me). omg I'm not getting arrested for being a pedophile for subeta okay XD

I am actually really glad to hear the staff speaking against putting retired stuff in the CS because people are saying they would buy them.

I get the frustration of referrals, I have literally 3 points because I'm not desperate or social enough to ask people to join. I don't think that justifies allowing users to purchase the items for cash (or crystals as much as I was thrilled to see more stickers enter the economy)

I do love the suggestion of Vintage Festival idea, or even having Esmeralda bring back retired lines (especially revamped ones) in limited time frames or amounts.

I can't even get my boyfriend to sign up :( - and I'm not going to mention my age publicly, but there is no where on this planet I could go where talking to youngins isn't going to be weird. I don't exist online either. I don't draw, I don't even have a facebook account, never mind twitter or a blog or any other social media presence. I have a lot of time to devote to Subeta BECAUSE I don't do "people" things.

I don't understand the push for referrals in the first place, honestly.
Most people who sign up for Subeta these days just do it as a favor to a current user, and they don't actually play the site afterward. And now that Subeta never deletes ANY accounts, that means more clutter dragging the site down.

It also seems silly to keep pushing your players to refer more and more new users when the site can't even handle the number we already have. Subeta commits suicide any time a bunch of users try to do anything all at once - the 3:00 account clearings, any special events, even those VIP item stocks... they all destroy the site. And users who have tried to get friends to play have already posted saying that their referrals get frustrated and quit within a few days of dealing with Subeta's broken coding. So... why are we continuing to push referrals with these unobtainable prizes? |D

I've had problems since the shoutbox got "revamped" Considering I've been essentially homebound for the past... oh, year, and that was one of my only social outlets I feel like I've lost friends.

I think I honestly prefer old, glitchy, crashes every fifth page subeta. Not the new doesn't work in any of my browsers subeta.

And playing online mmorpgs with teens and pre teens just isn't the same.

Have you ever heard of anthrophobes? I'd rather go stand in a tiger cage than go talk to a load of people (younger than me to boot, and anyone below the age of like 30 scares me in particular...) and get them to go on some site. I'd need a therapy session after all that x_X Andrea is right, you could literally put a ticket to my dream job in the referral prizes, and all I'd end up doing is sitting here sad, because there still wouldn't be anyone to refer, and even if DID know someone I could get to sign up, put my name down and get to the point where it accepts me as a referrer, they wouldn't stick around, and it would be another dud account cluttering up the place. I just saw a petition where after signing up (one signature) you could buy other signatures (something like £10 = 20 signatures idk), if Subeta did that, cash for 'referral points' I'd pay. A different rate to the CSC of course, but you'd still get money from my Scrooge-y fingers. [edit] And no, I am not going to try to get the tiger to sign up either.

Y'know, I think I care less about subeta now than I did a few days ago. Basically all I've heard lately is:

  1. The cap is staying where it is can one of you confirm or deny this? If it is, whatever, I've got a ton of weapons and scrolls to sell because I'm done.

  2. Pet page will lag forever because it's bottom of the list. That's fine, it's not like this is a petsite anyways.

  3. Referrals are more important than money, and introverts who work with mature adults can basically gtfo subrta because we're not wanted here. LESS WE'RE REMINDED THAT THE TOP REFERRAL STICKERS HAVE ALREADY BEEN IN BOTH THE TOKEN AND CRYSTAL SHOPS, but no csc ever hell no ew get off my site you disgusting pet person with money ewww.

About sum it up? I'm glad at least things are getting fixed, though. So even if I might not be here much longer, at least the players who stay will be better off. Kinda.

re: getting old stuff out. You did it with Alegarten, and you did it with the new years shop. Those were both great ideas.</p>
<p>Other ideas: toss things in the Millionaire shop for 24 hours (so people can&;t buy more than 2). More Token Shop restocking of old stuff. Give Drills back his stock of &quot;other&quot; stuff. Maybe add some other prizes than the bucket of polar water for finishing the ice fields. Maybe change the treasure map - right now other than finishing the first one to get into the blue building, there&;s no real point in completing more maps. And speaking of the blue building, maybe stick a quest type of thing in the basement that would involve old stuff in some way - or a game, something to spruce the place up.

these are all amazing ideas, especially giving Drills his stock of retired items back, and giving the maps a revamp!

/joins the loner/introvert/no-people-to-refer club/ I am a stay-at-home-mom, with virtually no interaction with other people. And I LIKE IT THAT WAY. I get all the social interaction I need from my husband and kids. I don't have a facebook, twitter, or other social account. Asking me to go find people to refer is just ridiculous because I literally have no friends. I can go days and never leave the house.

I have been working for almost seven years on achievements. Knowing that at this point you are pretty much telling me I will never have the plushie/sticker collectors achievements because I cannot ever lay hands on the referral stuff really makes me sad. I pretty much stopped doing my daily battle quests when the cap was put in place, as I am listening to the top battlers saying they are still unable to beat the top challengers. I dunno - I am starting to lose interest in the site because so many of my goals are completely unattainable, and when I get just frustrated enough even I'm smart enough to stop doing the thing that frustrates me. What's even more frustrating is that the site doesn't seem to be listening to what its users are repeatedly asking for. Maybe I should just go back to reading all day. That at least is very fulfilling for me.

Basically what and said regarding the referrals, lol! 😅

I don't have a social life, that's why I'm on Subeta to interact with others. Going to youth fairs (presuming that I would know any) would be awkward enough as an almost 32 year old, I'm not going to show up on my own, preaching the word of Subeta, throwing around notes with my referral link on it. Also, I'm not going to tell my colleagues, they're all older than me, and I really don't want to see the look on their faces when I start telling them about my virtual pets, and that I spend real money on buying dresses for my avatar (after explaining to them what an avatar is) ...

Look, I have no problem with you offering rewards to users bringing in new people to the site. On the contrary, I totally understand and support that. But does have a point in stating that the site usually can't handle lots of people online at the same time (although admittedly much better than before), and referring people to a broken site is pretty pointless. First impression is everything. You need to be able to hook them right away, and if I heard correctly from others, even the sign up process is hard to get through without errors?

To sum it up: referral system is a good system, but some people are never going to get any/enough referral points, and are more than willing to throw CSC at the site in order to get the referral prizes!

I don't know you at all, but your post made me so sad. Please don't give up!

FWIW I have referral points, and don't spend RL money on Subeta. I am sure if you tried you could find people willing to swap items they bought with referral points for your CSC.

Surely we can appreciate how important referrals are to the site, though, right? Because new players are going to be the lifeblood to the site; the only way Subeta is going to be able to survive is if they continuously expand their userbase (to make up for the many users who leave). Every referral means a potential new customer, who could end up spending thousands down the line.

I then understand the frustration of items that are necessary to complete collections, especially when the number of referrals is pretty intimidating. But if they are actually making some people recruit others, then they're doing their job. At the vest least, I don't think some exclusive items are a bad idea. Maybe there needs to be a compromise with the rare collection items, I'm sure staff have an idea of how many are going out and whether more need to released through alternative avenues.

(Of course, if Subeta's big aim is referrals, then a lot needs to be done in making the site more accessible and easier to understand for newbies. Probably after fixing the biggest bugs, because the only reason most people stick around is the large investment time/money they've already made to the site thus far)

(I say all this as a 23 year old guy who's never going to get referrals)

Up until now I was kind of thinking it was still fair for Subeta to stand their ground and say that referral points would only be available that way. After all, it's annoying to let people "buy their way" to things, and some goals require effort and dedication rather than "just money". But then I read this:

Quote by Sirensong

(...) I am starting to lose interest in the site because so many of my goals are completely unattainable (...)

This is -exactly- what I was just talking about before, except I'd just mentioned impossible retired items. I'm sad that different reasons are making collections not just impossible for newbies, but for older players too ._. I personally prefer to have an item permanently on the referral shop than to have it retired, but I do wish staff still kept an eye on the number of certain items (probably all items) on site... because, collections or not, it's not fun to never be able to achieve things even when you've worked on them forever.

Forget the fact that I'm not a social person, that's something I'd gladly pay others to be (if I really needed any of the items, that is); however, I don't really see a ton of people selling their RPs either. While the new registration page isn't up, while the site isn't workable enough to welcome -and- retain newbies, while all people consider is to offer $5 to homeless people/coworkers to be able to get their stuff --- I think the site could still consider alternatives so at least some of those items get in circulation. I personally think it'd be nice to get some cash in the mean time as well because after all it's needed (I mean you could pretty much put any price tag in those items?!) and it could very well be a one-time deal. After all, soonâ„¢ Subeta will be a much more pleasant experience, so there'll be lots more RPs in the market and such measures would never be needed again c;

(Sure, it could be crystals, a ridiculous amount of wizard tokens or some other way. Technically there's already a precedent, so I don't see any harm done there. Could be a limited amount stocked, a very limited time window, etc.)

I'm glad to know people can't easily make multis to abuse the system, though. Doesn't take long for "harmless" cheats to escalate and become actual potential threats to your account, I definitely had enough of that on Neopets x_X
