Or with large groups. Backers has over 300, so it wasn't working for me, or would only ping a couple of people. That does give me an idea, though, of where I can maybe stick the contests if I theme them. We haven't been able to have a contest for a month!

Pekaboo was a gambling addict and was into a loan shark really big to cover his debts. The loan shark, Biggy Smalls, pays a little visit to him with his goons. I imagine it went something like this:

Biggy Smalls, the loan shark, entered the room with two of his thugs, No Nose and Benny. No Nose looks like his name. Lost his nose to a rottweiler while trying to hide a body in a trunk at the junkyard. Benny is a behemoth with a big bad temper to match.

Biggy: ''Well Pekaboo you got my money? I told you your extension was up today.''

Pekaboo: ''Now Biggy you know I'm good for it. I just had a run of bad luck and I'm sure I'll win it all back for you in tonight's poker game.''

Biggy smiles sadly. ''Pekaboo, Pekaboo, Pekaboo. Yanno I can't let you slide on this one. It's bad for business!'' Biggy motions to his thugs and they slowly advance upon Pekaboo as he backs into a corner of the room.

Pekaboo: ''Come on guys! Why get so serious? Call your goons off Biggy!''

Pekaboo sweating profusely looks around for any kind of weapon but is unsuccessful. No Nose signals to Benny and Benny circles around to get behind Pekaboo.

No Nose: C'mon Pekaboo... take it easy now. We ain't gonna hurt youse... much!''

Pekaboo panics and tries to make a run for the door but Benny grabs him from behind. Pekaboo is no match for Benny's strength and Benny holds him tightly around the neck. No Nose advances on him with a baseball bat, aiming to bust his knees. Pekaboo begins to blubber like a baby and beg.

Biggy: ''Now you know ya got it coming to you Pekaboo! Stop yer blubbering.''

Pekaboo, in a burst of energy, surges against Benny's arm around his throat and twists his body trying to get away. Benny holds on tighter and there is an ominous cracking sound that echoes through the room. Benny has snapped Pekaboo's neck! Benny drops his body to the floor as Biggy and No Nose join him standing over the body.

Biggy: ''Well now... that's disappointing!'' chews on his cigar ''Clean this mess up boys. We got other calls to make.''

And that's how Pekaboo ends up in the freezer!

Dear Pekaboo was a fruit runner. He was a free lancer for the brightly colored Ziara mobsters. Due to many of the gangsters issues with the law, they couldn't travel easily to the main planet, so they hired Pekaboo to run some of the more mind altering Ikumoradeekanox fruit to the high end clients in Centropolis. However, due to the success of Sheer Noir, and growing so close to his bandmates, Pekaboo wanted out. He wanted to live on the straight and narrow. He told his boss up on Ziara that he was done and didn't want anything to do with that style of life anymore. The mob boss decided to give him exactly what he wanted, an end to his life. When they were finally able to get an assassin down to Centropolis, he didn't have much time to get in and get the job done, especially since the flyer on the door was advertising a show later that night. He improvised and threw the body in the freezer and got off the planet.

I bet the motive for the crime was superstition! Pekaboo died because he was the seventh member of the band and a fortune teller foretold that if 7 members will playing the concert in "Keith's", only 1 will survive the gig. So one of the friends secretly killed Pekaboo the night before and makes a mess in the room so it will look like a burglar has been there. He thought better kill one and save six then dying all together.

Pekaboo had always been the oddball of the bunch but the other members could not think of anyone who would have harmed him. After coming down from the initial shock, the members reluctantly called for help and were careful to not contaminate the crime scene any further.

Shortly thereafter, the sound of sirens echoed down the dark alleyway that led to the compromised bar. A detective and a coroner, whose names fit the typical television crime mystery show, began questioning the members of Sheer Noir. Each member recanted the last known whereabouts and attempted to recall any suspicious activity or characters who might have led to the untimely death of their beloved band mate.

Suddenly, an investigator called over the lead detective. "I think we've got something"

All eyes shifted towards the man while he held up a blood-stained napkin that was tucked inside Pekaboo's breast pocket that read:

"It's either them or me. Choose wisely."

There was an audible gasp among the group and Alenwen finally spoke out about what she knew.

"It had to be her. Well, it couldn't be her, she's dead, too. But, it has to do with her..." Alenwen mumbled.

"What are you talking about Wen?" asked Zoila.

"Pekaboo had a sister he never talked about. She, too, was murdered and there was this huge coverup because it was... It was linked to the mafia," Alenwen explained. "There was a lot more to Pekaboo than I think any of you know. I know he tried to save his sister. I don't know. She owed them something and couldn't come through. I thought it was over... I thought the debt was paid."

The fellow members stood with mouths agape as the only informed member recalled the eerily vague story. It was agreed that this was the start to a long arduous mystery. The tension was palpable. Each member wondering why Pekaboo would withhold such information and began questioning in their minds the best friends standing around them.

I don't mind observing, either! ^_^

Sadly things were not always what they seemed. Though Pekaboo loved the band and cherished his friendship with each of the members he had a problem. A rather big problem. One he kept secret from the others. Gambling was his vice and he often bet crazy amounts, typically on the long shot. Sometimes this paid off and when it did it was glorious. More often though he lost and lost big. There was only so long that a debt of his magnitude could be left uncollected. Arriving early at Keith's Pekaboo was desperate to find something that could help to wipe out his debt. He went so far as to ransack the band's room, searching for anything that was of value. While doing this the bookie and two thugs walked in. The things Pekaboo had found were decent. Maybe not worth the full amount of what was owed but by this point they all knew he was never going to be able to pay back his debt. Once Pekaboo had handed over the items to the bookie the thugs grabbed him. Though he struggled it was in vain and the muscled neanderthals carted him off to the freezer where they tossed him inside and locked him in.

But now Arbitrary was falling for him too, Pekaboo got exposed and the girls found out about the fact that Pekaboo did not love one, but all of them at the same time. A vicious plan of the angry girls came to plan. Angry, heartbroken girls, can do more damage than one might think.....

Isabel did it! A born woman, that dresses like a man. Already seems suspicious enough right? Well yeah, (s)he did it! He killed Pekaboo! You want to know why? Well because Pekaboo did not like this transgender. Isabel became so angry at always being picked on by Pekaboo, that (s)he decided to make an end on this torture ones and for all!
