it is 3.80 in east Texas. and for now there is no getting a better gas car or an electric car. my hubby working in Oklahoma and we only get to see him every 3 weeks. dont know what this gas prices will do to us. hopefully we will sell our house and move by then. smh.
In Maine where I live its a little over $3.70. Im not too too worried because I mostly drive my car to and from school, and I dont really do much else yet. Im lucky that the life guarding job I'm getting this summer is at my university, and that things like the mall, grocery stores, and most of my friends houses are close to my house or are a 10 minute drive away. I also don't pay for my gas (my parents do), but once I get a job Ill be helping my parents pay part of my insurance.
I remember that too! A couple of the gas stations in my town would lower the gas prices as a competition to get more customers. The lowest I saw it get was about a $1, but that was when I was about 5 or 6 XD
I personally don't have a car right now, but I am concerned for those who do. And when I get one, obviously. I think it's about time we start SERIOUSLY investing in oil-alternatives for cars. It's only going to get more and more expensive, since it's not a renewable resource. ): It's awful that we have become so reliant on it.
I am worried because soon I will be able to drive, but I can't if my damn car has no gas! D:

I don't think people are going to start eating people. LOL
However, I think the gas prices are absolutely ridiculous and I do wonder sometimes, what will happen if gas prices go up past five dollars? In California, gas is about $4.29 where I live. It's stupid. Half of my fiancee's paycheck goes directly to gas.
hu o___O i'm lucky i'm in europe, hu?
for me around it's 1,49 € per liter (means nearly 2 $) but it's expensive nontheless, because everything is lower in europe as well (money...)
I'm a little worried, yeah. My job is around 23 miles away, one way. My parents both do a paper route and have to pay for their own gas. If it gets any higher I dunno how they are going to be able to afford to do it. I live in Arizona and the cheapest gas around me is $3.81 They were saying on the news they are expecting it to be up to $5 in the summer and I really hope they are wrong.
Well, here in Finland it's about 1.65 euros (which is about $2.1) per one litre. Soooo isn't 1.65 (Euros per litre) = 8.28460081 U.S. dollars per gallon? Or did I calculate it somehow wrong... ಠ v ಠ Correct me if I'm wrong.
But it's really damn expensive. I'm quite worried about this situation.
Nope, we're not lucky. The Americans have the price of gas as dollars/gallon and not dollars/litre. One gallon is 3.785 litres. OR AM I COMPLETELY MISTAKEN? :------------D God my head starts to hurt when I try to do something mathematical.
lol right i forgot XD.. yep.. okay .. than they are better than we, somehow hu? :|
yepyou are, i went to calculate as well XD gooooosh.. for this i would love to pay in gallons as well x|
Personally, I'm not worried at all since I don't have a car and most likely will never get one. Sucks because transportation will get more expensive though, but at least this will (hopefully) urge scientists to further work with more environment-friendly energy sources like wind and the sun.
@ LYRIEL Same here. :c I hope that the situation would get better, even though that's not really possible. Well, hopefully the scientists will find something to replace/make gas.
we have to see ;; at the moment i take public transport, because of university but i need a car sometimes sigh
