This is why I want a scooter, it takes so much less gas and is full of awesome. Eventually we won't have any oil, I think in a magical world that will never exist, they should give people a ration of gasoline each year and they pay for it monthly, to make it last longer.
After conversion, it works out to a bit over $8/gallon here in England. Luckily I have a scooter to get around, which uses fuck all petrol... only problem is I can't go home and visit my parents as often, because they can't afford to pick me up, and I can't afford to be buying expensive train tickets.
I'm not THAT worried... I mean, I wish they'd bloody hurry up with hydrogen powered vehicles, or whatever they're working on.

I would be happy with those prices. My part of NC, is already up to $3.70 a gallon for regular. Yet in SC...I've seen it for as low as $3.46 a gallon for regular.
I live near the CA/OR boredom (in CA). I live about an hour from Redding (the biggest town closest to us) and an hour from the border. Even in the "big town" that Redding is, though, prices are between $4.40-$4.15 for regular. Which is still ridiculous, usually it's at LEAST a quarter cheaper down there. :/ which is why I usually go a couple of times a month and fill up because it saves me a TON of money on food/gas to go shopping down there. Because quite literally everything where I live is marked up about 30% :/
I live in a small town though, so I can easily cut my normal fuel consumption on most weeks by riding my bike to/from stores, post offices, friends houses, etc.etc. but it snows pretty regularly here, and is often below freezing especially in the mornings when I get up to do things. So that + wind chill is.. unfortunate. If I get a windbreaker and a face mask I might be able to handle it. And I can take the bus almost every day to class, but I just don't know how they work and at about $5 a day to ride it? I'm not sure that's more economical at all because the commute is so small. I've been trying to think of ways to make it more manageable for me, because Id on't want to have to cut out going to see my boyfriend :c
I'm definitely worried. My dad uses a lot of gas because he has to commute to work. It's about 45 minutes each way, almost every night. Also, with the way our city is laid out, you have to drive everywhere. We're already in major debt, so I'm really worried about things like this.
In Tacoma, WA (about 40 minutes south of Seattle), it's been about $3.70 at the cheapest. Along the interstate I've seen prices at $4 though. I can only imagine what it's like up Seattle or down in Olympia right now. Thankfully my car gets good gas mileage (300-400mi per tank) and I don't have to fill it up very often.
It's $3.75 here in northern Maryland. Hopefully it won't get to $5 since my measly paychecks won't be able to do much but get gas and some groceries.
I'm not gonna lie, I'm really worried.
I commute to university, and gas here (south Texas) is ~$3.40 a gallon, last time I checked. I drive a relatively fuel-efficient car so $50 of my paycheck goes to gas (keep in mind that I live in one city, work in another city, and go to school in another city, so I drive a lot). Public transport is not an option for me (there is none here!), neither is living on campus unless I want to take out a ridiculous amount of student loans (trying to hold off on that since I am planning for medical school).
If gas goes up to $5, I would probably be screwed... not sure, since I don't know what my summer schedule is like. My parents and I are thinking about selling the house to be near my university, if shit keeps hitting the fan! But the housing market sucks too! Damn I hope we're all able to make it through this one, this isn't the first time I've dealt with severe financial issues and we somehow always come out of it... we usually don't have any other choice!

I don't suppose I am particularly worried. I don't technically pay for gas anyways (my dad does). I do shop at price chopper and just had $.50 off a gallon, so that helped a bunch. This makes me want to buy a hybrid that much more, if/when I ever get the money.

I'd love to see the day when there is no oil left anywhere. I bet the Petroleum Industry will refuse to admit defeat.
I don't drive I've seen it for 3.49/gallon here, it seems to go up this time of year because people are traveling and whatnot. I don't drive but i do take the local bus and I know that they had to raise prices because of gas and such.
Indeed I am worried. Gas in the town that I live in, at it lowest is $4.01 and at it highest is $4.21. There isn't a doubt in my mind that it won't continue to rise since it won't be long before it is summer and during the summer the gas prices generally sky rocket. What makes it worse is the fact that I am transferring between colleges and programs, thus I am searching for a part time job so I make it through the time void of the transfer. To be honest there aren't many jobs to be had in this region. It is going to be tough.
I'm concerned - I can't say I'm worried yet. Here in northeast Florida, it's already up to $3.75/gallon. I'm really glad I only live 3 miles away from work, but my PT Cruiser is a piece of crap and gets the gas mileage of an SUV. My concern is getting to church - it's a half-hour drive. Instead of going twice a week, I may have to be okay with only going on Sunday. :/ My fiance and I are planning to get me a more fuel-efficient car when I feel comfortable enough on the job to commit to a car payment - hopefully maybe another three weeks.
Honestly, I'd consider riding my bike to work, but temperature-wise, we're already consistently in the 80s - I'd need to shower before I clocked in! ^_^;
It was around $3.00 a gallon, but it rose to $3.60 at my college in VA. In San Francisco, CA where I live, it's around $5.00 if not more. P: This seems kind of scary/expensive/bad.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little worried. Gas is around $3.99 a gallon here in Michigan...found one station the other day for $3.85. I'm more pissed off than anything I guess. Most of my friends live about 20 miles away so I only visit them once a week. I ride my bike or walk if I have to go anywhere within a couple miles...that only covers CVS/Walgreens, a couple restaurants, a couple grocery stores...everything I need really, but I'd rather go a couple towns over to shop. I guess there won't be any road trips again this summer either. What really makes me angry though is how in Saudi Arabia, they pay the equivalent of 5 FUCKING CENTS A GALLON. WTF. That makes me want to punch something.
I have only two concerns: 1) is getting to see my boyfriend less often as a result and 2) my $7.25/hour from work, then minus all the government holdings, won't even pay for the gas to get to where I work. I carpool already to save, but it's sad to consider that what's left of the 7.25 is a gallon of gas.
Omg, you've a got Libby too!

-loves the llama XD-
Gas has gone up to $3.85 here for regular. Premium's already over $4 ....
Gas is about 3.69 here in east Tennessee at the lowest. We have a bunch of people who feel the need to sell "100% pure" gas for over 20 cents more, but I haven't seen it hit $4 yet.
I'm really hoping I won't have to quit my job, but if it goes up to $5 a gallon, and I drive 40 miles to work and get paid $8 and hour, I don't really have a choice. I won't even be making enough to justify going to work.
