I have... two genderless pets (bought at around the 40-50 mill range) and about four others I need to make that way. I would be perfectly fine with 1000 CSC or 30/35 mill in the MC. I would be fine with crystals for fragging. I WOULD BE FINE WITH ANYTHING OTHER THAN WHAT IT IS. ;w; As for the choice of more availability or cheaper, I totally want to go with more availability. If Subeta didn't have a track record of fucking up chance items I would say even release a 100CSC chance item that randomizes your gender. Hell, you could have genderless, male, female, and a double gender or something. IDK.

Now that the whole chaotic mess with the new forums and the Tempest event has settled down a bit (and I've decided to stop being a lazy bum), I've updated the first post with estimated price suggestions if they do decide to put the berry anywhere else. :'D

I really like that idea with the gender randomizer. Even adding the option to the zapper would be okay, I think, as long as they made it really rare.

I dunno how much worry there is about "fairness". I mean, they just upped the referral CSC reward from 25 CSC to 500 CSC... That's a HUGE jump, but it's not like anyone who made a referral right before that time or even in the month of April are going to be compensated for, apparently, just not waiting a couple more weeks to tell their friends about this site (and in turn bring THEM more users). Which in and of itself is kind of crumby since 25 CSC gets you basically nothing. So, you know, useless. Needless to say, I assume some of the less polite or respectful users would take no time jumping down someone's gullet if anyone had complained about that though.

Overall, I think the idea is fine. I probably still couldn't afford it anyway though. lol

I'm supporting getting more of these in circulation around the site - it shouldn't cost you 40 - 50 mil to change your pet's gender.

I too am in favor of more circulation. In whatever way would be the best to do that.

I too think we should get more of them on site. Cash shop or something else, it needs to happen.

How about making them a possible achievement prize for having a certain number of pets (20 and higher)? Or is that not an option until the achievements get re-coded and fixed up?

I think adding them as a prize for that achievement would create a problem on the opposite end of the spectrum and deflate them too much.

Token or Crystal is the best call.

I'm not sure how many people have 20+ pets in the first place, but I can't imagine it's enough to completely destroy the value of the berry, especially since people who are that much into pets probably wanted a genderless berry at some point or another. ._. If not multiple ones.

Even if we're going by loyalty box slots alone, you'd have to be a member for 11 years to get the 10 extra pet slots. We're only celebrating the 10 year site anniversary this September. I can't see that many people literally getting the berry for free if we're going with the achievement prize idea, even after Subeta hits the 11+ year mark.

I'm not sure that "being into pets" correlates to wanting a berry or multiple ones necessarily.

Restocking them in the Token or Crystal shop will be fine in terms of circulation and value. I like that they're an item that retains high value and while giving them out as achievement prizes won't destroy that, I think it would decrease it significantly enough.

I agree with the idea of the berry ending up in the crystal/token shop, but I also think the berry in general should be more available to those who want it instead of having to wait for staff to put it in the token/crystal shop.

The only prize for owning 20, 30, 40 pets is... a title. One title just for owning 20 pets. That's it. There are tons of wardrobe achievements with different prizes, so why not have something better than a title for owning so many pets? Figured it'd be possible to kill two birds with one stone and berry prices will go down no matter where it's placed.

There definitely should be more of them circulating onsite than there are now. (That also goes for some other BHH items as mentioned in this thread.) Hopefully the issue will clear up after it's stocked in either shop.

I think the wardrobe achievements have different prizes because there are so many tiers.

Yeah, I brought the wardrobe achievements up because the avatars and the pets are two of Subeta's main aspects. ._. Just to compare: you can get multiple titles and several achievement-only items for filling your wardrobe. The pet slot achievements only have one tier for owning 20 pets, with the title as an award. There's also an achievement and title for owning just one pet. You can fill your wardrobe by buying stuff with sP. You can only get pet slots from CSC, or loyalty boxes.

I feel that, if someone wants to spend 200+ bucks on 10+ extra pet slots, they deserve more than just a title and a pat on the back as a reward. From that came the idea of the berry being an achievement prize.

I don't know if I'm making any sense right now, it's 2:30AM here and I'm half-asleep.
