What annoys me the most is the fact that if I hover over something, the name will also pop up in a box like this. i have no idea why this bugs me to no end, but it didn't used to have that box pop up before. and it takes a good amount of time to load. But I agree with Liz, the boxes are more annoying than helpful right now.

I have to agree. And to put it simply, I think it's majorly lame.

I've found I have to mouse on and off the object 2 or 3 times to get the box to load, and probably half of the time there is almost no info. Sometimes the rarity and description shows, sometimes not...

i don't like it either. subeta seems to load much slower, overall, for me. i thought it was just my computer at first, but other sites load as fast as they used to. i haven't done quests in a week :/

IE7 indeed only shows a hovering item name. This may be intentional.

That said, I am really not fond of the new tooltips. I was looking forward to them when mentioned them in IRC, since he said it should speed up the site, too -- er ...

I'd just like to have the tooltips loading bar-less and working again, please. :/

I'm glad that i'm not the only one having this problem. It seems that it works sometimes (or on some items? Not sure), but most of the time rarity and description are just blank. And yes, it take much longer to load than before. I tried it on different computers but it made no difference.

I agree that it's frustrating during Wizard Quests, but I really haven't gotten worse stuff from him; I'm still getting Subeautique items and 15 Point Wizard Tokens regardless of the change. The only thing I don't like is that the rarity doesn't show up anymore.

Edit:

One other thing: sometimes when I search for an item, I accidentally hover over my friends list and sometimes their pop up box will get "stuck" over the search bar. This hasn't happened to me until the info boxes were changed.

Ahh, there are a few things that I need to change, and I am working on it -- There should be some improvements later today. Especially for IE users :).

I've noticed it; can't say its particularly bothered me, but I did notice it.

I don't know about IE users but they're working better for me now than they were - loading faster, and I haven't seen a missing rarity all day.

I still preferred the old ones but these have improved to something I can happily live with. Thank you, Keith. :D

For us IE users it has gotten even worse! Today we don't even get the name when hovering over the item.

Keith - please bring back the name, rarity, description and price. :)

Honestly, I've given it some time to try and get used to them and I really just end up only becoming more frustrated.

I mean, I know supposedly they're better for the server now, but most of the time, it doesn't even show any INFORMATION like the rarity or the item description. Some of them won't even load at all for me (They'll start to load, then flash on the screen for a millisecond, then it's gone, only to do the same thing every time I try to hover)

Yeah, I've too have tried to give them time get fixed and whatnot and get used to them, but still hate them so so much. I don't notice any increase in speed on the site, and in fact since it was implemented I feel the site has been going a lot slower.

The info boxes just take far far too much time to load to be useful for much of anything, and they are very finicky. Sometimes I'll have to move my cursor back over the time three or four times to get anything to pop up, as I won't even get that loading bar.

And the new blue arrow matches nothing as is rather pointless. I'm pretty sure we'd know what item we were hovering over.

All of the item data should show up, starting from last night. Is there still people having trouble having them come up? If so, can you tell me which items you're having trouble with? (post them here with the item sCode)

I'm also working on the speed of them coming up, that's something that is really not as easy to do, as it requires another call to the server to load the item data (but isn't nearly as harmful as having it load ALL of the data when the page loads, and putting it all in there, even for items you don't hover over) but I'm working on it.

And yeah, the blue arrow is stupid and is a config value that I was playing with and didn't mean to actually turn on. Should be off soon. :D

Uhm...acutally, no item is working here (and I use IE). Yesterday it just showed me the item name and today...nothing. :(

All of the computers I log on from (home, school, friend's) use IE only, and none of the item boxes or user boxes will appear. I understand that FF is a lot better, but it's not like I can change that. I'm glad that the new boxes help the site, but I haven't done a single quest in almost a week now and the whole thing just really irks me. :(

I've noticed (and I know someone already mentioned it earlier) that it IS still possible to get 15pt tokens from the Wizard on quests, and probably still do good on quests that don't rely on rarity. One tab for the quest, and three more open on Shop Search. It works well, as long as the computer being used is decently fast and won't spazz out with four or more tabs working at once (like the one I use at home -_-). Good luck to those still doing quests. :)
