umm... the only problem I have with them is that they no longer show an item's rarity. :| now I kind of can't do quests for Saggitarius or Maleria. I don't have the rarity for every item memorized. :|
also, for users the achievements are still "0." but I don't really care about that, haha. :B
and what on earth is all this about copying an item's picture or something and getting the name twice? ._. I really have no idea what everyone keeps talking about.
i'm having the same issue with just the average price showing up, which means for nearly every quest i'm having to jump over to subetahq to check on the rarity of each item so i can tell whether it's worth buying or not...this isn't too bad when quest timing isn't an important factor, but on those quests where timing is of the utmost importance, it's a nightmare...i can fully understand the need to help the site run more smoothly and quickly, but it's doing the exact opposite for me... :(
i'm keeping my fingers crossed that a few more tweaks will iron out these issues, because as things stand at the moment they're far from ideal...
Hovering doesn't work at all for me any more.
RIP Mom, I love & miss you more than you know. Tell Dede hi.
Ocean Conservation Namibia on YouTube... they do good work! https://www.ocnamibia.org
is anyone else getting blank rarity information? 80% of the time nothing shows up for me. i think the item description is like this as well.
The info box is pretty much useless in most cases. It takes an age to load and, when it does, the information such as rarity, description and official price aren't there.

I've been getting that quite often as well. :| A lot of items pretty much have a blank drop down thing. No rarity, no description, and I'll be lucky if it has the average price. It's not for all items, though. which is a little odd. but not very helpful.
The site has never been slower for me than it is now after this change. I'm sure you guys are still figuring things out, so I'm not mad or anything. Just thought you should know.
Edited to clarify: When I say that the site is slower, I mean the entire site. While it is true that the popups are monstrously slow and frequently do not load at all, the rest of the site is also loading slower than I am used to.

Exactly. I've also noticed that the site seems slower in general. Granted, there over 1000 users online, but I thought that Subeta got new servers to handle that?
For the people who don't like the double borders, you can add this to your custom CSS to get rid of one of them. I don't know how to get rid of the other one, or make it thinner.
.prototip .subeta {border: none !important;}
It's very slow and I hate that I can't see the Rarity of most items ...
Since this was just implemented, there are bound to be a few issues. It's slow, rarities often don't show, etc, but since it was done to make it easier on the servers, I'd give them some time to work out any kinks before QQing about the change because it'll probably be better in the long run :)
Personally, I'm not noticing any difference in how fast the pages are loading now that they've changed it. There may be a difference for some users, but which is better, some users having to wait a few seconds to load a page, or all users having to wait 30+ seconds to load one of these boxes, only to have it not work properly?
Its great if it makes the site faster for some people, but now the site lags most where it counts, with quests. The wizard quests are dependent on time, and if you take the time to load one of these boxes, you pretty much guaranteeing yourself getting with a 10 or 5 point token rather than 15. If you do 25 quests, you'd lose over 200k by getting 10 point tokens instead of 15, and lose over 100 tokens over all. For users who make all their profit from quests or vending, thats a big deal.
There also the problem that the rarity hardly ever shows up, which also makes it a problem with Pete's quests too. I understand that these boxes are new, but there seems to be an awful lot of problems with it, vs the old boxes, which may not have been ideal for the servers, but at least worked properly.
I agree.
I agree that the boxes taking so long to load is annoying and needs to be fixed, however I just want to point out that you can still make the same profit on quests without them. We didn't even have boxes for a long long time, but people still managed to do quests just fine. Just have four tabs open (one wiz, three shop) and search for each item, checking the price on all before you buy to make sure they are in your budget. With Pete, if you don't know the rarity off hand, have a tab open with Subetahq. It doesn't take much longer then it did when we had the old boxes. It is still possible to make the same profit from before off quests, it just takes a little different strategy :) It is still an annoying change to have to make though since the old boxes were really handy on quests!
But yeah, regardless the boxes are still too slow when just browsing the site and you want to see what something is. They also tend to get stuck on forums sometimes and don't close so you are left with a giant box in the middle of the page.

Please bring back the description, rarity and average price!!
I like the old way better!
I'm sure this was said somewhere but I figure the more people who complain the more likely they'll change it back to the old infobox.
They take forever to load.
and
The rarity doesn't show up half the time.
and
Hovering over a user in your online friends makes some of them unseeable because they disappear into the top of the page.
I'm really not liking this change. They take so long to load that they're now useless for helping with wizard quests; by the time you've used the hover to check the prices on three items you've already wasted so much time you're better off just using the shop search.
and I realise that the boxes failing to show item rarity most of the time is a glitch and could be fixed, but it means they're also useless for browsing frag fodder now.
If they're going to stay like this I'd rather just not have hover boxes at all. They're no longer any help for anything; they're just annoying now.
Was it confirmed that with IE you don't get a box but just an item name? I am using IE7 and that's what I'm getting. And nothing when hovering over usernames. Not that I'm complaining, I didn't really like the hover boxes when they first came out to begin with.
I'd like to maybe point out that the website being slow is not from this change but the huge number of people online for the Vesnali event. I read complaints of the whole site being slow on the last page a couple times and it isn't an accurate observation- the event makes people stay online for aaages.
