My best friend hates herself because she's Mormon. .__. She's currently rebelling by living with her father, whom is an alcoholic. 8D

My friend is Mormon and she acts NOTHING like that. As for myself, not Mormon but my pantry is FILLED with non-perishable food since my mother likes to stock up on stuff when they're on sale. Yes that means we have more than the normal person should have of chick peas and peanut butter. Srsly. :]

yeah, she's not allowed out on sundays, either. her cousin's family, whom i am also very good friends with, doesn't care if i wear tank tops and shorts. and they love me. (:

but i think it's pretty lol when i walk into the wrong closet and find boxes piled up to the ceiling with food. "OOPS WRONG CLOSET LOL"

Hahahaha. I would have been like, "Um... what? Why? I'm wearing clothes." I volunteered at this old people home and I was wearing shorts and leggings and they were like, "Do you have a skirt?" I was like, "....No." THEY MADE ME GO BUY A SKIRT.

It was just as short as the shorts were. I get mad just thinking about it. She seemed to think I would be back. Two words: hell no.

My pantry is filled with food for the zombie apocalypse. Best to be prepared.

And I shall just echo the sentiments about adhering to the household's rules out of respect when invited as a guest in their home.

A lot of my Mormon friends are nothing like that... They wear tank tops, go out on Sundays, and their houses aren't filled to the brim with food... however, I have had the displeasure to walk into such a house... GAWD that was awful.

one of them invited them self into our house and gave my mum the book of mormon to help her get through her hard times, mum only just a christian she's not going to turn to a mormon she also told my mum sex will heal everything , although she has 12 sons so that would make sense

although i know another mormon family and there nothing like that, there just really nice people, if slightly odd, but nice

every time i say mormon it comes out as moron XD

huh, I haven't personally met a mormon (not like they're crowding the place here) but I do have some that are pretty strict christians, and I think they -do- have dress codes. But only when they're out in public, apparently it was fine for their daughter (I'm friends with the son only lol) to work out in a gym in shorts and a singlet ;)

we have food -everywhere- and are apathetic atheists at best :/ my parents grew up in poor households and want to never be out of say, flour, or vegetables. It's like a safety blanket. I'll probably be the same, I can't imagine a home without a canned tomato collection :P

EDIT: I would also be too awkward to walk around in another family's house in my pyjamas. Hell, I don't even do it at home.

Does that really have to do with being Mormon? I know plenty of Mormons and they don't have really strict dress codes. My sister, for one, is Mormon. She always wears shorts and tank tops.

Maybe the mother just wasn't comfortable with you walking around like that. Does she has teenage sons, or sons close to that?
