Aurora nodded sadly at the mention of the barricade. "Yeah, I know. They're to keep us from getting out. My mom and dad..." She turned away so that no one could see the tears that already stained her cheek fur, but knew it was in vain. Anyone could tell she was crying. She tried to get a hold on herself, but it was too hard. For so long she'd avoided thinking about her parents, but now that the memories had resurfaced it was too much for her. She knew they weren't dead, but they were trapped in spike balls somewhere. Seeing what the new pokeballs had done to Nyari only made her fears worse.

Slowly rising to her feet, Nyari looked at Auroura with a concerned frown. "What's wrong?" she inquired, placing her hand on the eevee's shoulder. She just met this pokemon, but she already felt close to her.

Setsune opened his eyes, sunlight fluttering into the hollow log. Sitting up, he let out a short yawn before crawling out of the log. Smacking his lips together, he glanced around for breakfast. All he could see were some berries nearby. Toddling towards the bush, he stopped in front of it with a hungry lick of his lips. Grabbing one bluk berry into his claws, he placed it into his mouth with an eager grin.

After he ate his fill, he began to walk around in search of water. The walk to the river was simple, just a few yards away. But before he could continue any further, he noticed a few pokemon in a flower patch. Hiding behind the nearest bush, he peered through an open spot, his eyes jumping from Nyari and Auroura.

He was still a baby, yet he was cautious about everything. Maybe because he had to raise himself.

(( Gah! Now I can't stop watching it either. It's so funny xD ))

Aurora buried her head in her paws, too upset to be embarrassed. "It's my... My m-mom and dad. They-they were caught in s-sp-spike b-balls. I haven't-I haven't seen them since."

She wiped the tears from her eyes, only to have them replaced by more. Finally she got a hold of herself and gave one final sniff. She wiped the tears off as best she could and turned back to watch Ruki's announcement. She was, however, extremely embarassed that Deimos may have seen her crying. She suddenly felt like an idiot. It was weird-no other pokemon made her feel this way. Then a blush rose to her cheeks as she realized that he was in her egg group. Crap.

(ooc: Muahahah!!! Be hypnotized by the funny sig!)

Nyari gasped, her story taking her by surprise. "I'm so sorry." she apologized, patting her shoulder in sympathy. When she stopped crying, she leaned to the side to look at her face. A blush was covering her face, making the Kirlia smile in understanding.

Setsune leaned in forward to get a better look. A branch of the bush snapped, making him fall through the foliage and in front of the other pokemon. Landing on his head, he grunted, sitting up with an annoyed expression. Turning his head, he gasped when he saw the two pokemon. Quickly rising to his feet, he blinked as he started to feel a little dizzy. Falling back onto his butt, he grumbled and glanced into Auroura's direction.

Aurora glanced over as she heard a low gasp and saw a tiny pokemon with a pinecone-like tail. A larvitar, a baby one, it looked like. She smiled kindly and walked over to him, wrapping her fluffy tail around the baby pokemon. "Are you okay? Are you lost?" she asked in a soothing voice.

Setsune gazed up at Auroura, his eyes glazed with tears. "My mommy and daddy..... I don't know where they are." he cried, pushing his face into the Eevee's tail. Although he never saw his parents, he knew what they sounded like. Despite what people think, pokemon in eggs are fully conscious and able to hear things outside the egg.

Aurora pulled the little larvitar closer to her. "Don't worry, I'll be your mommy. It's okay. I'm sure your real mom and dad are somewhere near here. I'll help you find her." She was lying, of course, but she didn't want the tiny pokemon to feel bad. "It's okay, it's okay," she crooned gently, stroking the top of his head with one paw.

Setsune cooed into her fur, a smile growing on his face. "Thank you." he whispered, rubbing his face into her tail.

bic: Ruki padded into the bushes after making sure that Phobos was following her. Once they were a ways from the clearing, she sat and prompted the Absol to do the same.

"I wanted to talk to you alone," she began, "because I know you best and respect your opinion, and I know you'll take this seriously, unlike some. I don't want to cause any of the younger Pokemon stress, and the last thing we need is for the others to think that their spy is overly worried."

"That being said, I am getting a bit suspicious of Team Nebula. More so than usual. They've been too quiet lately, and I think they're planning something. Something big. Something they wouldn't just leave out in paper for anyone to see. In fact, I'm wondering if they haven't caught onto me and are trying to, I don't know, lull us into a false sense of security. I mean, it's been far too easy to break in and out again, and I don't think they're that stupid."

"What do you think, Phobos? I'd like your opinion on the matter."

OCC: Whoa. Can you please slow down? I'm seriously flooded.

BIC:

"Don't know? Have we done something wrong to you?" Flyte asked bitterly when Ruki said something about how they looked familiar. "Probably have, knowing that I tricked almost everyone in this freaking clearing..." The pidgeot stopped abruptly when she realized that Ruki had gone off with Phobos, then snorted and ruffled her feathers.

"I'm off." The bird pokemon said, a bored tone filling her voice. She flapped her wings a couple of times before taking off, gaining altitude and flying quite low above the tree tops. She didn't want to leave Trap behind, yet she didn't want to talk to him either. Oh, how he annoyed her sometimes! He was too charming and nice to the other pokemon in the forest, and she sometimes wondered how he even survived this long living along. Surely someone would have battled and killed him without worry when he was younger.

Flyte learned the answer to the question one day, a couple of days after she had first met Trap, when they were walking through the forest, engaged in a deep conversation. Without warning a team Nebula pokemon had jumped out of the shadows and tried to attack them, trying to bring them into a spike ball which had been planted only a few meters away. Flyte was terrified, she tried to take off and fly away, but she didn't want to leave Trap. Suddenly Trap winked charmingly at the pokemon and soon the pokemon was gone.

And the spike ball destroyed. Something about Trap was weird, and the bird pokemon could never put her talons on it. She was sure that he was only a mere shinx when that happened and he had known one of the strongest electric moves known to the electric pokemon breed. It was just weird. Later that day, she went back to the clearing to see the spike ball, and found that it had been brutally destroyed. Pieces were laying all over, with small fragments of glass scattered around as well.

Flyte did a loop and turned around to head back towards the clearing, to wait for her friend.

Trap smiled slightly at the growing crowd of pokemon, then did a short, curt bow and cleared his throat. "Sorry, lads, but I must be off. Business to attend to. Good morning, and have a happy evening!" He winked charmingly once again and turned around to exit the clearing when Flyte landed right next to him and hopped alongside of him as they both exited the clearing together.

"So, what are we going to do now, Trap?"

"Don't know, Flyte. I'll probably go around the perimeter of the forest again and try to destroy some of the spike balls."
