At the end of year 11 we had a paperback one for £5. I didn't get it though as my name was spelt wrong.

Our yearbook things were given out a year ago - because that's when people had the choice of leaving. Although nearly all my friends stayed on, so they're pretty fucking pointless. I didn't buy one...all I remember is that I got voted "most absent" when it comes to the 'awards' lol :'D

I just wrote a load of bullshit in my friends' ones - I can't stand writing them messages on demand, that other people will read. It seems so forced. They didn't write anything for me as I had no book :P

Mine was 18, for full color, and supposed to be paperback. Lucky for us, the publisher made a mistake and they printed as hardback, and they sent it to us. We're keeping it a secret and thus we get to keep them. : D I got mine today, 2 days early because I'm on the Yearbook staff as the resident artist and co-editor (for spelling and layout mistakes). Yay me.

It was worth it, our yearbook is something to be proud of eeee.

I usually, though, write my name and a heart next to it in autographs, lest it be one of my close friends, where I'd take up a full page writing everything about them. Well, I did that with my best friend last year. As for everyone else. I just write nice things and a sarcastic hurtful thing in there for the hell of it. :B

I can't stop holding my yearbook aha.

We haven't received ours yet, but they cost 15 dollars I believe, they're paperback, stapled together. Usually people just write the same things "Have a great summer!" but it's usually in acronyms. People also use chat speak, which kind of bugs me. I believe if you write it someone's yearbook, it should be meaningful. But what else can you expect from hormone crazed 8th graders?

I ordered a yearbook. But how it works over here, we don't get them until late August-beginning of September. Yeah, I know. They want to include everything, like graduation and stuff. For hardback (color, I believe) it's $50. But, since this is our inaugural year at this brand new high school, I wanted one.

In my last year of high school, I wasn't told when the grad pictures were being taken, so I didn't know I had to book a time to get my photo done. I didn't get that classic me-looking-silly-with-that-hat photo; that part I didn't mind. The part that bothered me was instead of using my borring school shot in the grad section like they did for some other students, they put me in with the grade 11s. ...My graduating yearbook, and my photo is mixed in with the grade 11s?! I was piiiissed.

All during high school I decided to not have anyone sign my yearbook and I only signed yearbooks if someone asked me to. After so many years I think the fun of it kind of just went away. I'm thankful I don't have to deal with yearbooks now.

I think my high school yearbooks were closer to $80 each. Somewhere around there.

Wow. I feel like I would've been getting a deal here. Our school has more then 2000 students and we are very sports, math and art oriented and win lots of random shit so there were tons of pages. Not to mention ours was also full colour and hardback.

Ours are $60 pre-ordered, but you can also buy the extras at $100. :p But they're always hardback, and mostly coloured. And we have two page spreads for like...everything. Really. We also had four pages on the events that year. XD They look kind of cool, but the yearbook team can't spellcheck to save their lives. :p I don't like the one this year so much. It was white and you could see all the dirt. Last year it was all velvet-y and pretty for an anniversary. XD

I looooved yearbooks. I was on journalism staff in high school for two years and the second year I was editor. It was great. I was in a small school and they were $20 for a full color hardback. We even handed out picture cds of graduation and prom since the yearbooks are printed before those events. But once again this was a very small school.

Our school has year books, but I only buy them every other year, and I didn't buy one this year. They were $42... That's expensive.

I was on yearbook staff last year, and the yearbook cost $30, and it was hard back and designed like a composition notebook. It was cute!

I got a yearbook this year. $50 for a nice hardcover. MUCH better than last year's, so I guess it was worth it. It was high school musical themed/movie themed (but didn't have any blatantly obvious high school musical references). Not getting another one until my senior year though. They're pretty expensive.

I write ridiculous shit in year books.

"This is a really ugly color pen you gave me." "In 20 years, you won't know who I am." "I would stereotypically tell you not to change over the summer, but you kind of suck."

Most of the time I sign them under 'Mark Twain.'

We got one at the end of year 11.. which is like.. idk what american year but it's when you're 16 and can leave school forever. It looked like absolute shit, like the layout and graphics looked so cheesy and stuff. And there were only two pictures of me and i look like shit in both of them. I hate that yearbook.

Oh and it cost £15, which i believe was wasted now.

Like , I got my yearbook when I was 16 here in the UK.

I remember it had a double spread page of things like: 'Student most likely to get deported ..' 'Student most likely to be a 40 year old virgin ..' (A little harsh, but it was all in good humour xD) 'Student most likely to be an erotic dancer ..'

.. etc. I had to pay £20, I think. Worth the moniez.

My yearbook was $30 and a hardback. Not worth the money. The yearbook kids fail at spelling and basic HTML to the point that it became sort of sad. :c If a school wants me to buy their yearbook for that sort of price, I don't expect typos on every page and words that are the same being repeated adjacent to each other kplzthx. The cover was cool, though.

I got quite a few signatures and messages and whatnot. My awesome history teacher signed it as well. Er... not really any interesting messages. Well, except one about how "effin' awesome" I am. Cx
