I don't understand my MM today :/ They have at least responded with items each time I send stuff, but there's no theme, pattern, effort etc etc. It just seems like random vend stuff that just happens to have the occasional item over 10k. I looked desperately for a theme or message that they wanted a certain type of item, and tried to base my gifts around those, sending some of my high value theme items, but that didn't lead to anything either so honestly I've stopped sending. I want to save my good items for someone who actually tries, even if they can't/don't send me anything expensive.

And thank you Grinch for the smile :) I'm determined to keep trying MM til the end, even though I know I'll moan about the bad ones!

I hope MM is better tomorrow. Total dud today.

I feel kind of bad, but since I'm getting all of the stuff my MM clearly is too lazy to donate I'm just sending them right back. They've sent me so much junk! There's no message, no effort, no theme beyond junk junk junk. It would be different if they were new and didn't have items but they obviously have a surplus. I think they're trying to go for that achievement.

I at least have an active MM today, but I feel like I've become their own personal trash can lol (I really wish they would just stop right now....this bombardment of junk is just uncalled for).

My MM today is already kind of disappointing. :// They either don't understand I'm trying to communicate with them or they're ignoring it entirely. I can't figure out anything about them because they won't talk to me, so I have no idea what to give them, and I get the feeling they're just dumping all the random things they've gotten that they don't want on me. There's no rhyme or reason to any of it, and it's mostly junk.

It's still early, so I'm hoping things will improve over the course of the day, but I'm doubting it already. Oh well. Just means more items for tomorrow's MM.

Been getting horrible non responsive MM's and today I actually got one who sent me some things. SO I BOMBED THEM. xD

Today I got a not so good one. I think they just gave me an item, they just received from the Donation Corner and vanished into thin air... Let's buy themes for tomorrow! ;D

How do people even "communicate?" I usually send a "warning" gift of a token or holiday item to say hi and test the waters and then proceed to send a few more things just to keep it going. If I don't get a response I stop for the day.

How can people "talk" back and forth, let alone be rude? :o

This topic explains it pretty well. By sending certain items, you can tell your partner about you and what you like so they know what to get for you, as well as if you have to leave/go to bed, how long you'll be gone, how much you like or dislike their gifts, and a lot of other things. Some items have a rude implication to them, and sending them to someone sends a bad message, usually.

Half-arsed MM today. I got a single gift (of reasonable worth and something I can use), but then nothing. I tried sending them a few more things to see if they were still alive, since the initial exchange overlapped a little and it wasn't clear who should go next, but no response. Better than nothing, I suppose, but still a bit lazy.

Also, I think my MM yesterday was the same one I had a few days ago. Nothing for hours, and then a sudden raft of the same kind of gifts in the evening. Who ever you are, stop it. Either give something when you sign up, or just sign up later. Stop dicking me around.

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! I'm so FREAKIN DONE!!!!!! I'm so fucking sick and tired of all these MM's!!!! How can I be so unlucky 2 YEARS in a row?!?!?!?! It's so disappointing!!!! So depressing!!! I want to participate in site events and I get paired with assholes!!!! This is my favorite time of year and my lame ass MM's are ruining it!!!!

I don't have an MM yet today, because I am on a quick work break. But I can understand the process can be frustrating. If your not willing to take the chance of a dud, than don't participate. Every year I get only a handful of really good MM's. And by really good I simply mean real participators "that last for at-least a couple hours". I know it's not fair that you get an inactive participant, however, your bad luck is probably someone else's good luck. & That is what this season is really all about, others.

I understand completely but I'm not exaggerating when I say I have only had two participators in two years. The rest either do nothing or send their junk. I thing a good MM is one that has fun with it. I'm not looking for "high end" stuff. I actually prefer "thoughtful" over expensive. Communication is key. Part of the point of MM is a back and forth. That's the fun part. But if it has become a one sided event on my end then you are right I should just not participate anymore and send my gifts else where.

NOTHING. And I know my MM was online as they signed up second. If I'm the second person I usually try to send first, so that the gift notification will let them know I'm active. Didn't get that from my MM so sent about 9-10 low end theme items to give them a prod, but not even a junk item in response.

I don't care if it's cheap stuff if there's some thought behind it - a lot of people are on a very small budget - but I do want someone to communicate with and have fun. Not someone who joins it just to get free stuff and not give anything in return. It's not about the value, it's the thought that counts.

I got a good MM a couple days ago. We chucked items back and forth for a few hours, until they let me know they ran out of sp haha! It was fun while it lasted though, and the communication was great! They let me know what they liked right at the beginning, which made it quite a bit easier to figure out what to send. c: Haven't had good ones the last 2 days though. Yesterday's might have been trying to do a theme, i couldn't tell. It was just a bunch of cheap food. I sent back some stuff that was kinda around the same price and then they disappeared. Today's MM hasn't responded at all :c
