I know, that's why I said it might be too early to judge and obviously it was, because I'm having a lot of fun with my MM now :). In all my bad MM experiences I've noticed that if they don't gift the first few hours it's best to not expect anything anymore. Sometimes they do get into action after a few hours, but I honestly don't think anyone should sign up right before they go to bed. As said in this topic: Item hunt

If you want to communicate and have some real fun it's best to sing up when you have some time to interact with your partner.

Yesterday I stumbled upon this post by a user who seems to be relatively new to Subeta. But it pretty much gave me an idea of why so many bad MMs are around.

Today held promise when my MM actually responded.. only to have it lead to a "conversation" about how displeased they were with my "cautious opening gifts". ><

I don't unload on my MM's anymore immediately after being matched because it's only day 12 and I've already been burned by probably 10 of my MM's.

So, sorry if you were unhappy with my gifts MM, but the "rudeness" was quite uncalled for! Now you WON'T be getting anything more from me. :(

Ok so every day I say to myself "You will not do MM today". Then I click on it and I'm in it again. I either get the newbie's or someone that just wants stuff. I SERIOUSLY think I got the same lame MM from 2 days ago. When will the Subeta Team see it's time to update the MM process. :(

Everyday I get a little bit excited about MM. Maybe today I'll get a nice one and we'll roll around in all the gifts together and it will be awesome.

But no. Another complete dud. Oh, well. I guess I'll spend my time on the "trees lacking gifts" board, giving presents to OTHER PEOPLE, then.

I think you win dickface MM of the day. That's not on! Cautious opening gifts are pretty standard, and they're no indication of what is still to come. How are so many people so unversed in basic MM etiquette?

I got one fabulous MM once who sent me the nicest gift and I scrambled to repay them, but recently I've been getting people who just want to unload cheap, unwanted junk onto me.

I've got one of the "unloading junk" MMs today... :( I feel bad for saying it but it's one of those "thanks but no thanks" situations...

I'm a little confused. I get an impression some of my MMs are scared off by the communication stuff I send because they think it's junk. On the other hand, I always add some more or less expensive item to, I don't know, show my honest intentions. But twice in a row all life is drained out of them when I try to find out what they like or whatever. I'm being as clear as I can, I even spell out as many words as possible with stickers. MMs, guys, I just cannot buy high-end communication items when there are cheaper ones, it will leave you without more pricey gifts in the long run. I just won't have enough sp.

I think it's possible my MM didn't quite get my "theme" today... or maybe they're just taking a break (a bit unlikely, perhaps)? I try to come up with something different, I find it too boring to send holiday items every day, and on the other hand, I can't afford to send super nice stuff to everyone. I'll save that to anyone who really participates.

I got so lucky; my MM today is just amazing. It's so much fun talking to people through items and learning about them and what they like.

I'm absolutely dying to know who they are; they've been super sweet and I'd love to make friends with them. Definitely one of the best MMs I've ever had. They've really made my day in a big way.

I was very happy with my MM today. At first there was a long silence which made me worry I had ended up with another bad MM, but I was second to sign up so I waited a bit. Then they responded to my communication which was fantastic! MM, your items weren't as expensive as mine, but I don't mind at all. You tried really hard and I could tell that (and I love your gifts btw), so I just had to shower you with gifts :D. I finally had the chance to send all the expensive sets that I had kept in my vault :D. And I absolutely loved our communication. Thank you for a geat MM experience!

Ok, I take back the bit about the gifts not being as expensive as mine (which I did not mind at all), I just received a whole load of expensive wishlist items :D. Thank you so much MM! :D

I have just received such a sweet message from my MM. I can't give any details on this board but I just want to say that I'm really touched and I want to thank you for being the best MM I've had so far! And I am so curious who you are!

Don't give up just yet. I was lucky and had very nice MMs half of the times so it will happen to you eventually. Just ignore the bad ones and try your luck the next day again. It's worth the wait when you have this one good MM who you can really communicate with.

That's true. It just my will to do it goes down with every crappy one.
