I'm a tad strapped for sPs so I'm thinning my hoard re gallery and vault... hope they don't mind, I'm trying to be consensious.

Neither of us seem rich today, but at least I got an active MM. XD /goes back to bombing them with little goodies.

Every MM but one I've gotten so far this year has tossed a couple of <1k game prizes my way and then ignored me for the rest of the day. I get not being rich, but they're pretty clearly just sending me whatever the carnival games and weekend quests are giving out.

Nothing will ever top one I had years back though - I forget how it started, but they sent me a bunch of Mexican food items. Being me, I sent back a bunch of toilets. They responded with every poo item on the site. Juvenile, sure, but it was great to have someone having so much fun with it. (I'm not worried about them recognizing themselves, this was 3-4 years ago!)

I bet all the people thinking they're bad MMs are actually awesome MMs who just don't know what a bad MM is. Seriously, guys: unless the majority of what you're sending is unusable & unthemed 1 sp kind of junk, or you're not sending anything at all despite having an obviously active MM, than you're officially better than everyone I had so far.

EXCEPT for today's MM, because they're awesome and I love them. I hope they understood that I had to go to bed... And I giftbombed them right after I woke up, haha. One has to act quick with these wild MM resets going around, I think. Anyway, I'm really glad I was paired with them, and I hope they enjoyed my gifts. Wishing you happy holidays, dear MM ❤

I really loathe the ones that bait you with communication only to drop off the face of the earth when you send them decent items back.

Yes, so it's my loss and my risk. I get that. I'm not looking to get equivalent worth in return, but I sure as hell would appreciate any sign of life back. Whether that means a Snowy Blob Kitty or something even cheaper. I don't careeee. I just want to have fun throwing things back and forth. And I can't do that it if you've stopped. And I very well know you know how to communicate and how to send things. You've made that crystal clear.

I wonder if MM wasn't anonymous if all these selfish assholes would dare be this rude and greedy. 8| Of course not. What's even sadder is these are pixels. How the hell do they treat people irl? Shame on you. Shame on you all for thinking it's okay to act this way. It's not. I hope karma bites you in the asses. Jerks.

Ok MM, if you join 2nd I KNOW you are online...so when I say hi and send a few items (mostly over 100k each) I'd kinda expect SOMETHING back. If you are totally broke, why join up? Grr

Yesterday's MM sent me a handful of cheap items and 1 expensive item and then poofed. And today's MM, well I started communicating and was very excited to receive communication back, but it never went further than 1 item. I have received 1 valuable item and the rest was pretty cheap, but I could see they were trying as some of the items were in the spirit of the season and I appreciate that. I think they poofed now.

I haven't been in that exact situation yet but I feel your pain. I've been playing MM every single year. This year is the first year that I play daily. I've only had 1 really good MM so far, in all those years. The majority of my Melodies never sent a single item in return. The anonymity just attracts leeches.

Sometimes I wish the MM would be revealed at the end of the day or that there would be a penalty for not sending items, like the Rreign burning your items lol. But I guess the revealing of the Melody would cause a lot of drama between users.

Had a good MM today - started off kinda slow and it looked like it wasn't going anywhere (low level vend stuff with no theme), but I stepped it up a mark and they joined in. We got a nice bit of communication going once we hit a theme and I was having a lot of fun :) I could tell they'd started to struggle to keep up though, but they were trying really hard, so I sent them some of the nicer things I have and then let them know I had to go.

I hope they enjoyed it too :)

This just happened to me yesterday, i figure if you have enough sense to tell me what you collect/like and i send you some stuff, at least ask me maybe? or send something back after i just spent a bunch of sp buying you stuff :/

I think some people must mistake MM for one-sided Santa Claus. :s I'm sorry your MMs have sucked. :( I got a good one this year, so I feel like I almost have no right to complain, but it really feels like the bad ones are ruining the rest of the month really easily.

I wish there could be a review at the end. "Were you satisfied with your MM? Y/N" and if they got a certain amount of nos, they'd be banned. Then again, satisfaction can mean different things to different people, so it's probably not a good idea either. xD

I'd love the username reveal at the end of the day / reset time. It's like .. fine. You want to be a jerk? Own up to it. I dare you.

That would be awesome if they would revel the person, i know it kinda ruins the whole "secret" part, but then maybe people would think twice about joining and not participating

I think it would be a great way to meet new people. Plus the whole concept of Secret Santa usually works around the idea that you will eventually find out who your Secret Santa person was. At least from all the ones I've participated in. xD So keeping it permanently anonymous doesn't make much sense to me.

I honestly think that the bad Melodies grossly outweigh the good ones. It really sucks, because I prepare a lot before I sign up. I collect themes and I put a lot of thought into them. I spend a lot of sP on them too. I get all excited, sign up, start sending my messages, and am usually dissapointed in return. The collection that I've spent most of my sP on has been sitting in my vault for days because I never get a Melody that's worth sending it to.

I think that if the MM partner would be revealed at the end of the day, a lot of people would not have the guts to take advantage of the system. And if you have a great partner it would be so nice to meet them in the end. I also like the idea of the review. It would be nice to be able to write down your opinion and send it to your Melody, even if it would still be anonymous.

Maybe they should put a link to the Melody communication thread and the Melody etiquette thread on the front page of Mysterious Melody. At least some clueless people and newbies might become aware of the possibility to communicate and the Melody no-no's :).

I completely agree, i mean, ive had 8 mm and only 1 has been decent

i think 2-3 havent responded at all, and the rest send a few items then poof and i never hear anything back (i mean i know RL stuff happens, but when i have an active MM i send them something to let them know im leaving)

Its frustrating because i love this time of year and i love all of the site events going on, it makes me not even want to join MM but then i still do in hopes i get a decent partner
