I third what Emilee said. No need to get so worked up. The thing has proven that it still has some bugs to be worked out. It's one of the newest areas of the sites, it's still very far from perfect. Stop clutching your pearls, sit down, take a few deep breaths, and relax.

And maybe not looking at Mael's n00d-ness will help.

Doesn't matter if it had a good profile before or after -- many people look forward to a decent winner every night. It doesn't fit any of the criteria, therefore, it doesn't deserve the trophy or spot. It IS a mistake, certainly, but mistakes are fixable, and to fix that, the staff should repick a new winner, one that actually deserves to win.

Too bad if it had a good profile before.

It is trivial for people to be throwing a tantrum over a thing like this, but it doesn't deserve the trophy or spot whatsoever. I think the whining is justified, even if it is annoying.

Kiarae, that is already in effect actually.

Didn't mean to sound bitchy but some of you are outrageously obnoxious at the slightest errors made here.

I know people work very hard on stories, character development, artwork, treasure etc... but throwing a tantrum doesn't fix anything.

I can't wait to see the profile once it is back to the original owner. ( Based on people's comments, it was something spiffy.)

Ok, so you don't make mistakes? Maybe she transferred the pet before the spotlight option was active... or simply forgot. Get over it. Some of you act like Subeta is the meaning of life itself... step outside of your cave & breathe some fresh air cause you obviously aren't getting enough oxygen to fuel the reality center in your brains.

Calm down people. Goddamn. BAWWWW MISTAKES CAN'T HAPPEN.

I want to say that it's because the Pet Spotlight is still quite new, so kinks are still in the system. :T

wow, so many people getting so pissy! the thing GLITCHED. settle down, holy moly. there's no reason to hiss and growl and scratch. it's just like the way the multiple wins happened: A. GLITCH. settle down, sheesh. it's nothing to get so seemingly crazy & worked up over.

If you're going to transfer your pet to someone, at least take it OFF the "nominate for spotlight" list under your prefs. Leaving it open to be nominated, when you know it'll soon be blank/different somehow is... I don't know, not exactly irresponsible per se. It's just frustrating... truly frustrating. I'm sure something can be done about this, but I know MANY other users who spend too much time on their pets to let the slot be taken by a mistake.

Maybe instead of a removal from the queue (since that could be a problem), there could be some kind of locking system for when you put your pet as "ready" for getting nominated? So you can't modify it while it's ready or something, but you could unlock it by clicking "no" and modify it then.

Or something...

I'm getting a bit disappointed with the spotlight lately honestly, because when it's not glitching, things like this are happening.

But yeah I'm echoing Nikki here... it would be nice if transferring a pet disqualified nominations.

I guess the system doesn't do periodic re-checks of pets who have been in the queue for a while, or this was a very recent change to the pet.

BUT! For those saying glitches should just be dealt with, this counts too!

lol yeah, it may have been amazing or whatever prior to it being blank, but uh, that really counts for nothing if it's empty on the day it wins. Looks like there's a couple glitches that need sorting out in the pet spotlight department.

I agree with everyone here, transfer should remove it form the queue : I'm sure it had a pretty cool profile but now it won't be known for that

A repick would be nice just so maybe down the line when this pet has a profile again it can win properly.
