Very good idea. Great work Keith and staff! On another pet site I lost a certain adorable pet in less than a second, lol. I don't do a lot of adopting, etc, but this will stop a lot of heart break.

I think this is good for people adopting out their pets, in the sense that neither have to be on at the same time to try and do the transfer. However, I'm sure there will be some people who'll secretly trade pets (sMailing). But it probably happened even before this new feature, so...I dunno, I won't really use it much, if at all. I love my pets and don't have the room for anymore just yet.
What if... Lets say keith implements a once a month send rule.. In theory, couldn't people just send you a pet with a terrible color and name just to piss you off? o_O

Last request, could you please remove the adopt r us part of the site that is taking too much space and create a pet bin instead for people who just want to delete pets with ugly names?
Pound had a purpose. Taking a risk was part of it.
Oh, and do the treasures and minions stay with the pet send to someone?

Before you add a restriction, make sure my battle pet is back at home, next time you create a challenger that will drops achievements

Moirae -- Absolutely, and that's how the system was intended to work. If you put your pet in the pound, it was up to you to make sure that the other user got it. We never returned pets, or stepped in.
However, I find this system makes a lot more sense. If you're sending a pet to someone, you're sending a pet to someone. If you're putting a pet in the pound, you're putting the pet in the pound. Do you go to your SCPA to give a kitten to your friend?

I'd been meaning to send two of my pets to my brother to make room for two new ones I have planned, but I always kept putting it off because organising the pound transfer would be such a hassle and a danger (especially since they have stats around 140ish). Now I can do (and have done) it safely and easily!
Now I just need to buy a GA medal and two new pets for me.

This is a new feature. I'm going to be watching the number of pets sent, how quickly they are sent back, etc. If it looks like I need to, we will add limitations, restrictions, etc.
I don't really know how to feel about it. I can see that much good could come out of it. I guess it's just a strange concept to me. But, if it's going to make things easier for everyone in the long run, and if people like it, then that's great.
But why cant we sell pets?
Because people are going to sell everything they get from the zapper? Abuse,anyone?
There really needs to be a time limit on this, if there isn’t one. One send/receive a month like Neo does it, if necessary. Yes, people lends hundreds of millions of sP worth of items for achievements, but it seems different when we are talking about pets, though I can’t really say why.
Also, like InSaNe mentioned, you just completely rehauled the BC partially due to rampant lending and a system that leaned too heavily towards weapons over stats. If there isn’t a cap put on this transfer system, people might just stop lending weapons and start lending pets straight out instead, since we’ve heard that stats will be a much bigger priority once the BC comes back from beta testing. Please think about it ♥

This will be much nicer for the people who are adopting pets out. No more pound snipes, no more people complaining about transfers being interrupted, no more drama involving people getting upset their pound transfers got interrupted.

I can't remember if there are any pet achievements, but if there are, I think this will come in very handy!
Great feature. ^^ Though adopting out pets had always been quite save here imho. I'm wondering about the limitations as well. How often you we send a pet, can it be send back to the person sending it right away? What if the person the pet is send to has no room?
Also, I can't seem to find the option. o_o looked through the list a few times Am I just blind (would be very likely since I tend to overlook stuff)?
