It's perfect o not that I like to hide from my friends, but sometimes I'm online but not online 'cause I'm just looking for refs for art and all that, and I feel guilty if someone talks to me and I don't answer if she or he sees that I'm online x-x

How should I know? Some people just want privacy and don't want people to see that they are online. The only people I see having a problem with this seem to be the ones that don't like the idea of people hiding from THEM.

It's just an option. Use it or not. If you don't want to then don't, simple as that.

That page says 'fuck' because it's also the page to enable/disable the bad word filter. The word easily shows you which it's currently set to.

I have a slightly different take on this...and I DO like the new option! My take is that I like to log on in the morning and just pop in and out to train my pet, do the odd shop check, etc throughout the day. If my friends see that I'm logged on and send me a comment, but I don't respond because I'm not really here at the moment, it looks like I'm ignoring them. This way I can be stealth most of the time...and then change the option to show I'm here when I'm going to be playing for an hour or so, in which case it would be great to hear from my friends

I agree with PokeishAnna. If you just wanna have your own time and don't want to talk with your friends, just don't answer them that day. Take it another day to say that you wasn't feeling chatty at all and apologize.

I have to say that it does make me kind of sad to think people would want to hide from their friends. If they don't have the kind of communication where they can just say ''don't feel like talking right now'' I think that says something about the ''friendship''.

I don't like this at all. If you want to hide from your friends then you shouldn't have friends at all. It should at least come automatically disabled so taht you don't have to do it... especially for people who won't see this.

I was wondering is it an automatic feature where everyone is put on stealth mode or can we choose to turn it off. I just got online and my status says hidden when I never hid myself at all is confused .

It would be a lot nicer if it was an option in the drop down thing that says '0 Friends Online' or whatever so we don't have to go all the way to preferences.

How will this affect trades? If stealth is enabled, the user of a trade will show up as offline, amiright?

I too really don't see the point in this idea. I can't understand why people don't realize that it's your choice to decide when to reply to comments even if your friends see you online and even when your profile status says your online. I don't hide from anyone as I don't like to hide from my friends when I get on here. I will reply to friends when I feel I need too, I won't just drop what I'm doing and reply.
