Hi all! I'm happy to report that the fight against General Error, who recently revealed himself as the commander of the SQL army, is going well. To further the efforts of the Subeta SQL Resistance Front, we've decided to institute a weekly strategic downtime window every Tuesday beginning at 1AM Subeta time (EST) and hopefully ending around 2-3AM.

We're going to use this weekly downtime to take backups, make changes to the servers, and of course to plant more traps for those pesky SQLs. ;)

We've chosen the downtime window right after the weekend so we can ensure that our backups are taken immediately after the time of greatest activity for our users.

The first instance of this downtime will be tonight at 1AM EST.

To arms, friends! Let us stand and defend Subeta against the SQLs!

That'll be from 8PM-10PM my time. At least the site will run better and it's only once a week.

But, without SQLs, mySQL would be useless. Who would want a query-less database?

Plus, it's official mascot is a dolphin. 8D

This is really good. I'm used to a short downtime at night from WoW and always found it very useful. I hope it helps to defend those nasty SQLs
