Hi all! Sorry for that recent bout of weirdness. Allow me to explain!

Keith and I rolled out some very important updates tonight, updates that we hope will improve performance considerably.

Subeta has two database servers, db1 and db2. At any given time, one of them is the "master" server, and the other is a "slave". This just means that only one server actually processes updates from the site, and the other is read-only... you can only ask it questions, not make changes on it. The slave server listens to the master to stay up-to-date on changes.

Prior to our updates tonight, Subeta only used the master server. The slave was around as a backup in case something happened to the master server, so we have a second server ready-to-go.

We've now completed changes to our code that allows us to use both servers at once. This means that instead of reading from only one database server, Subeta now uses two whenever it can. This means, ideally, that the load on our master server can be cut in half.

We're hoping this will result in a faster and more stable Subeta experience. However, the database code is used by the entire site, and it's impossible to test everything out by ourselves. So there may be problems. If you find a problem (something not working that used to), please make a report about it in the bugs forum, and we'll fix it as soon as we can!

The Battle Colliseum is not working quite properly. Some blank page loads, and now I got an error that I don't have my Turkey Quill when I tried to use it, went back and my weapons were replaced with a spork. :/

You know at the top right of the screen where it shows your username and usually when you brush your mouse over it a picture of your current avatar pops up? Mine isn't working... It hasn't for a while now.

Well with the site back up after yoyo-ing earlier i just been to try out card crusade like said would and it is a bit better in loading but still not as good as other areas, but then again for me now i finally beat him and have the acheievment have to say i won't be sorry to not bother playing again LOL

Not long got on this morning here and seems to be running good i will test it when playing Card Crusade as i always found that to load real slow between each card move which made it real boring to play too (although i said i would never play again as drove me insane getting a win LOL) Hmmm sand castle competition still out of sand !

faster yes, and another small glitch related to the gelatins.. My active pet that was battling when the last gelatin was defeated, now cant battle. I cant select her name from the dropdown list. Shes fully healed and not stuck in a battle. And Im not the only user whos had it happen.

It may really be faster, but there some strange things occuring in the games, for example Polar Ice field or Reflection. And yeah, the shops aren't restocking anymore(

heard about master and slave as well as male and female terms for other things related to computers in my course i taking in university right now...thought it was funny at first the "master/slave" terminology being used but now i used to it lol...anyway yes the shops not restocking i have noticed too...says that last time they restocked was Now or a minute ago but nothing is in either of the shops i go to...oh well...heck i was having issues with my computer and internet as a whole all friday so i just happy to have everything back to normal...i couldn't get on subeta at all friday nite much but then again it was not just this site so it was on my end...such a bummer...you all here at subeta are doing a great job so take your time to figure out the glitches...we'll go to the areas that are working...the items we wanna buy in the shops that are not restocking right now we can try buying when it working again

It's verryy fast now But I saw before, when you were probably doing the change in the code, the stylesheet was sorta.. dead.. o.O I saw it about a minute ago, when I logged in, but when I refreshed - the normal lyt was back up Anyway thanks for the upgrade - it really helps with the speed on my computer
