I just wanted to say that Halos also do not have notches in them. I believe the Halo is just a shining gold collar. Not a Halo Noose.

I don't see this as being overly simple. It has lovely detailing in the shading and its obvious that Arbor worked very hard on this piece. Its very light and sweet without being over the top cute. Popokos themselves are rather simple pets, without wings or a million markings. What did you want for her to do, add swirlies everywhere like Galactic? News though: Angelic doesn't add swirlies. It adds wings and a halo, both of which were incorporated into the picture.

I also see nothing wrong with the pose. Its floating on its back while turning its shoulders just the slightest bit to turn its head and look over its shoulder at you.

Just nearly every pet on the site is facing you and in a front on position. That Arbor felt brave enough to do a backview, and do it well, is a measure of her skill. What's wrong with a little change?

I love the pose, and the art, and the coloring, but honestly, it sort of looks feline to me. Pretty sure it's the head area. Just the way it's structured. But honestly, I haven't the faintest idea about rodent anatomy.

To those thinking I am trying to be mean/rude to the artist~ I did not know or care to know who drew the pet. From my understanding, news comments are allowed so we can give Feedback. I have made it clear that it is My Opinion that the pose is lacking. Cop-out doesn't necessarily mean lazy. It means an error was uncorrected whether it be intentional or not. It looks as if they attempted one thing then changed their mind. I never said it was lazy work. It's a Beautiful Design but a Flawed Pose.

What I personally find more disgusting is the need for a select group to gang up everytime someone makes a comment that one of the members doesn't like.

How disgusting some of you are being. Do you have any class? Do you not see how rude it is to think that because YOU do not like something the artist copped out? Do you even realize what you are saying when you make sure a statement? You are basically calling the artist lazy. Which is beyond tacky.

Haynorie - the collar is the popoko's halo So I don't think there is a dangley bit at the front, because the whole thing is a halo in itself!

I'm not sure who made you the boss of what special colours SHOULD be, but I can tell you now that simplicity is something special colours definitely CAN be. (Hello, Glacier?) - and FYI, simple does NOT mean easy.

And you know what, I hate when people just assume that because they don't like a pet, or the pose isn't what THEY imagined, that the artist 'copped-out'. Get over yourself. Arbor worked EXTREMELY hard on this pet, THAT I will vouch for.

I personally find back poses difficult because of the curvature of the spine, and the turn of the head. I feel that arbor got these both spot on, and on top of that her shading is beautiful and subtle, whilst still being detailed to the point that it actually looks like the tail is soft.

Don't like it? Don't get it, or just say that it's not for you. Don't dare accuse the artist of not trying her best because that's all we artists frigging do for you people!

I really fail to see the logic that you not liking a pose means it is a cop-out. Arbor is one of the last artists to get lazy in her work or take the easy way out.

Special colors shouldn't be simple. The pose is just bad imo. It looks like they started out with a back view and couldn't follow through, so the body was twisted forward.

This is one of the few Angelic pets I would get because of the design. However the pose ruins it for me.

Eh... I have to echo that the pose is a bit of a cop-out. The Popoko has so much detail that it's wasted in a back-shot with just a huge tail-poof in the area. :T Doesn't do it justice at all.

I adore the color choices and shading. I agree with Tianaroo: it's great that this isn't a bright color overdose - instead, it's soft and sweet.
The anatomy does strike me as a bit vertically compressed, but overall it's still lovely.

I'm glad this was done so well - this pet had the potential to be overly bright and cute, but this color interpretation is definitely more than ideal. Very beautiful. =]
