The Oracle foresees planned downtime early Monday morning...

The planned downtime is over.

As long as we are warned about the downtime, I'm a happy camper. I know it's to make the site better, and the warning is just basic respect towards the players. I bow in thanks <3

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

double post FTW! yes the downtime was only 1 hour.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

i agree with the person who said this.

"just had to comment on this .... a successful business owner listens to the praises and complaints in order to determine how to best run the business.
We, the consumer, reserve the right to complain.
When the problem is fixed, we will praise."

Yeah! I don't mind the downtime because everything is finally starting to work in IE again!!! That makes me very, very happy.

Thanks for the warning.

I'm having the lag problem also, but expected because of fixing the site.
There has been huge improvements made on the site.
I notice all the time when i'm on line.

I appreciate all the hard work that is put into the site, and yes it will get better.
The down time gives me time for a life, you complainers out there need to think what it would be like to work on this site to get it up and running smoothly, I don't think the staff has much of a life right now but hopefully that will change for the better in the future.
Kieth and staff Thank you for all your hard work.

; border: 1px solid ; font-family: georgia; font-size: 10;">Yes, you're a consumer, but don't you also get extra days/weeks if there is a lot of downtime/lag? They try to always make up for it. Think of this as trying to make your purchase (if you're a GA) better, not downtime.

Would you rather have tons of lag and glitches while they're fixing something, only to lose something you got because something went wrong or would you rather them take the site down, get it right and put the site back up, and only lose a few hours of playing time?

I hope this wasn't a direct response to my comment. If so... who said I haven't praised? We get reimbursed in many ways, which I have always expressed my gratitude. And again, I reserve my right to complain. ...Oh what a conundrum this has turned out to be. Can anyone solve this mystery?

the downtime should be 1-2 hours max. I think a lot of people assume 6+ hours

I much rather know that we're getting downtime. It's a lot better getting on, knowing that it's going to be down then it just all of the sudden going down for -no- reason. It's also always nice to expect downtime and get on, only to find out that it's already been fixed and the site is up and running, is it not?

Unless you want to fork over the money to buy all of the servers this site needs to not have downtime, why complain? Yes, you're a consumer, but don't you also get extra days/weeks if there is a lot of downtime/lag? They try to always make up for it. Think of this as trying to make your purchase (if you're a GA) better, not downtime.

Would you rather have tons of lag and glitches while they're fixing something, only to lose something you got because something went wrong or would you rather them take the site down, get it right and put the site back up, and only lose a few hours of playing time?

The Oracle foresees planned downtime early Monday morning...

No big shock there. Now if the Oracle was really on top of her game, she'd be able to predict all the unplanned downtime we've been experiencing lately
