To continue with the testing, we have raised the shop limit to 500,000sP.
However, the autopricer still has a limit of 250,000sP :)
Hmn... I don't think it's so much of a good idea, but it's worth a shot. x;
Yay! This will make things so much easier. Trades take so long to manage.
ok last comment...
another thought came to mind.
This in return cause problems for other items. Items which you all have cut down to, say 200k, some will jack up that price to go over the autopricer limit. This is an unfair advantage.... but maybe it is fair. Undercutters slash prices of high rarity items so bad, these items are no longer a challenge to get. Those who have worked hard to get one of those rare items, their hard work has been done in vain, a week later, that item is avail. in shops.
There's always to sides to the coin. You can't have good without the bad, and vice versa.

I really hope you keep the higher prices like this...
I like the idea of having a higher shop rate. It's such a pain to go into trades for "smaller" items, especially for quests. I mean if all people want is pure for their items anyways, then the shops are the best bet. I like being able to just hit a shop and buy an item, even if I spend a little more on it to get it. It's the convenience of getting it immediately and not having to wait for a possible rejection.
I think this is a good idea. There are hundreds of items collecting dust in the trade center. Putting these in shops most likely will make the purchase of said items more frequent than the offers on these items in trades.
This is a way of purging the trading post - all the DP items that decline in value rapidly, but sit in trades - dozens of them - this will help clear up clutter and make more rare items noticeable.
Thanks for testing this. In my opinion, I think it's a good idea.
oops ... my bad ... 500K sP. Correction on my previous post.
OK wait. I know part of the community is reluctant for this 200K sP shop limit. I'm kind of reluctant to change myself. However, IF you think about it .. with those of us who do alot of the questing in Subeta, Trades/Auctions/Haggling via sMail does not allow sufficient time to acquire some of the items. Sooo .. with the new 200K sP limit some of those very quest items will be easier to get.
Again, this change can go either way. It can benefit or it can be a hassle. It is entirely up to each individual to make that decision.
I think my only gripe is that they are testing this during advent season, so if a person misses a day, it is outrageously expensive to find the items because everyone plunks them in at the top price allowed.
yes the autopricer should be updated together with the maximum off the shop limit :s it would make the fact off the autopricer useless if you can price all your items
Brilliant change, I only hope the autopricer will follow quickly.
why not make it 400 million =O just to make the trades completely unnecessary =)
People keep saying that it's going to cause deflation, but meanwhile alot of items are currently INFLATED by users...It's ridiculous that an R60 sells for more than 100k... yet there are some that are asking upwards of 1 mil for them. Just because an item is new does not mean that it's worth millions. It simply means that it is New! Granted - supply and demand have alot to do with it, but even in the real world prices deflate after the newness has worn off points to the Wii Eventually the Xbox will probably come down to the $250 price range as well, yet I'm sure that you all aren't complaining about that...
I think the new shop limit is great -- I can't name how many times I've needed something for a quest, and by the time I got an answer on trades the quest was over already... Hopefully this will eliminate that problem. Keep up the good work, Keith ![]()
I'm a little wary about the new shop limit, but honestly, it'll be sweet in the long run.
After all, now I don't have to make an offer on someone's trade and wait five zillion years for them to get back to me. xD;
I like this ideal so much considering I havent been able to do auctions for awhile and trades dont work for me half the time.
I guess we will see a further deflation because of that. 250k was ok, but 500k.. don't really know if this is a good thing.
I found the price increase great for quest, it's very frustrating waiting for trade ..and I have spent alot more on quests since the price went upto 250K ..
I hope it works and we can keep the higher prices for our shop..
Keith, we do like /some/ of the update you guys do, but to change the usershops limit that high, it's a big jump dear. It would probably have been better if y'all made it to about 150k- 200k?
I see what you mean by the trades and all.
...but shouldn't we be bringing more focus towards the Auctions? =
Anyways, I've said my part, and I will end it here.
No matter what kind of change, things will be unstable for a while. Thats a fact of life. That'll balance out, sooner or later. X3
Even when the shop limit was just 100k, I wouldn't bother searching in trades for anything slightly higher than that, I'd wait for them to deflate so they'd be put in shops. The 250k limit made it a lot easier, and this change to 500k will probably do so as well over time.
I love the new limit! squishes Keith with big hugs. That means that I should be able to do my quests without having to hope that someone is online to trade with!
And I concur, trades really do imply item for item. If you give money for an item that's considered buying, not trading. ![]()
I really like this new system. I've made more sP from selling items in shops than I have in weeks. People just don't bother to go to trades for 300k items as much anymore. It makes it nice for quests like Pete, too. XD
Interesting ... If the concept stays it stays. In a way, it does make looking for some key items easier.
Though it may unbalance the existing economy, but .. that fluctuates to extremes as it is. LOL
I've always found that the Trades were used for trading items and things back and forth.
A lot of people just want pure, and when their items are in the 500k range, why shouldn't we just be aloud to sell them in shops?
'Undercutters' will strike no matter what. They have been for years now, no matter what the price limit in shops is.
John, anything we do will get players miffed. They're the ones that don't liek change.
The trades are for item-item trading. Hence, being called trades.
I think putting "UB" in shops may be ok But I am against having the auto pricer do anything over 100k, that is what is causing the deflation, not having the limit raised.
Seems like a great idea, but its going to cause deflation of a lot of items quick.
I really like the feature. It's a pain to have to wait for tons of people to get online, when you could buy from their shop right away. It's really, really nice. ^^;
This is a good idea for those that can't access the trades because of the various glitches. However, the undercutters will strike - as they always do - but it just means I can get my hands on items that I wouldn't normally stand a chance of getting.
Ugh. This is getting aggravating. I mean, the trades are meant for things like this, this crap that y'all are doing with the shops is ruining the economy, and obviously getting players miffed, but apparently thats the goal that subeta wants.
Thank you. I am liking this feature a whole lot, and I hope it becomes a permanent feature. Now if only Binxes were selling for 500k.... ![]()
i agree it will be much easier to sell stuff
sweet. maybe now I can finally get rid of some of my elixirs xD
I'll give it a whirl, might be easier than trying to fight with trades during my only online time...
I like the idea of raising the price limit in Shops. Its really very helpful for those of us that dont have the time to be online all the time to take care of our trades. I know that even I dont usually offer on trades unless the person is online at the moment. Quicksales are just a lot easier.
So, thanks a bunch. This is really helpful. n___n
stupid
come soon nothing will be considered a ub
prices will drop on Junk thats pose to be worth more than others
Exquisite, if you get down to it, aren't the Trades really for item-to-item trades and large lots? Its a nice bonus that we can use the Trades to sell expensive items for Pure, but I really don't think that was the original purpose of the Trade system. :3
Hmmm I think that's just a tad too much. 250k was more than enough. Pretty soon you'll decide to get rid of trades and add the tax thing.
Bah!
Though as another user pointed out, the holiday season might not be the best time to test this out, as prices go all over the place with people rushing to buy christmas presents. Perhaps the real effect will only be visible mid or end january.
This works out nicely since I can't access the trades to do anything anyway. Now I can sell more things without having to worry about dealing with the trades.![]()
Hurrah, thank you!!!
This actually REALLY helps out, since I was putting off pricing my 500k and under trades in favour of selling more expensive items, trying to make money for Christmas presents. x3
I'll be bombing my friends with presents in NO TIME now.
humm interesting... as long as it don't create deflation and no taxes I think it's nice... I,m even using it for my little UB...
i thought that this was what trades were for! ![]()
Wow. Thanks. I've had a lot of stuff under 500k that has been rotting for ages.
Cool I am liking this whole idea! No need to bother with trades.
Deflation might happen at first, but in due time things will balance out.
Haha, cool. ![]()
Me likes selling things in my shop. Trades take so long. xD
Yay! No waiting on trades!
I know its just a test but shop limit to 500,000sP is a great idea!!! Alot of times when you try to buy from someones trade they are not online so thats a quest that cant be done or gallery items still on the wishlist so I am all for it. walks off with a grin
