Lynelle, I'm not sure if you are correct or not. I do know that the Trivia was from Debi, not suggested by another player.
It's possible that Debi might have put a hundred or more trivia questions into a bank database and just randomly choose one from there. Kind of like what college professors do with tests from a particular book. They do not know what questions are exactly on the test, the bank pulls random questions for them.
Or maybe it was possible that Debi just wasn't feeling good, in a hurry, or something. We are human, not machines.
heh.. i put bits and bytes too, and then i submitted it and went to home appliances and was like..darn im so stupid.
secondly, im glad the prize is being reused, it gives people a chance to get the prize if they didn't and it shows that the staffers care about the people enough to admit their mistake and then have people respect them for trying to help the problem.
thirdly, dont complain,, one day it may happen to you. then what would you do??
As much as I would like to complain about the typo's found on the site as well as any other site I have ever visited. It is not a means to get rid of someone.
If all the staff of Subeta would pull together and double check everyone's work before hand, things would run much smoothly around here. It is not just Debi's fault, it is all of the Subeta staff's fault for not catching these things earlier. So, does that mean all of Subeta's staff should be fired? I would hope not.
Next, you are going to see players complaining about proper grammar on the site.
From what I understand, Debilee doesn't see the answers suggested. It was designed that way so that she could also play the trivia. At least that is what i was told, if I'm wrong I'm sorry.
But i know she plays because she is on the high score list for trivia.
This has happened several times this year. It happened with a number trivia, it happened with the spelling of a name, it happened with Louis L'amour, and it seems like there are a few other times it's happened but I can't recall them off the top of my head.
It is frustrating to get it right, not get the prize, and then not be able to find the answer to the trivia the next time that particular prize is offered. Especially if it's an item you really want.
I think the problem lies in the fact that she can't see the answers, so therefore was unaware of the spelling error. Maybe the way trivia is done could be changed in that whoever hosts trivia, doesn't play and they are allowed to see the answers. That way there won't be so many issues like this.
Or maybe that wouldn't be good because if someone saw the answer and they weren't completely honest, they might pass it around the net. I really don't know what the best solution is, but that was a suggestion I thought of.
Wow, I've read a lot of rude comments, but Luka_Pooka takes the cake. First off, it wasn't DebiLee's fault, and second, it was a tiny mistake. The prize is being used again; that's happened before. Typos are pretty dern common on the internet, kay? It's no reason to insist on getting rid of DebiLee. You're being a jerk and it's really rude. You should consider apologizing.

Some of you people need to mellow out. This is a game site not Real Life. DebiLee has a lot more to do than keep up with the trivia. The Holidays are hectic both on Subeta and in Mundania ... especially for Adults so she is getting a double dose of hectic. And by the way I am sure none of the UAs could possibly get paid enough to put up with all the complainers around here.

It's not our fault, it's the fault of the person who is giving out the trivias. This isn't the first time either. Why do the Subeta admins and mods keep making fools of themselves?
And a better question, why do we accept such failure? It's not correct to praise a dog when it's just bitten the hand that feeds it. We are the fuel of this website, the people buy their GA's, their cash shop items, and support this site.

Give her some credit. Its not like she doesn't go back and find a way to correct her mistake.
like i said, its only fair the question when the cosmic cd player is reused should be easy, if not the same as the one. but with the correctly spelled answer. it may mean a few more winners than before, but that way those of us who did get it right will have the proper chance at getting the prize that's rightfully ours. to make it so less people get it, you could always make the trivia last a smaller amount of time than usual.
i want that stinking prize, i won it fair and square, and i think i should get it just as easily as before.
Some of you really need to get a life in the real world. You make mistakes there, but expect the virtual world to be perfect. Well, it isn't and never will be. There is no God given right to play this site and until you have walked in Debi's shoes, which I have, get off her back and appreciate all the hard work she does for us. I have rarely read rants about bad trivias that had any validity, and she does an absolutely wonderful, thankless job of keeping these going. So get real people.

boy, i hope - when the prize is re-used, the trivia is an easy one. Anyone who won it the first time (but didn't get it) will be miffed if they answer wrong the second time.
Personally, I like the safe and relatively painless idea of making it a free gift - then if anyone complains it's only because they didn't want to share.

Nestly: I'm not mad about it since it's obviously going to be reused and no one got it right, but come on. This is the second time a misspelling has happened in like a week. Is it really THAT hard and does it really take THAT long to simply check the source of the answer, and the trivia to make sure they match so mistakes won't happen? Isn't that Debilee's job? This happens too often and makes the site look really bad and poorly run, I'm sorry to say.
Reusing an item or making it a free gift and such doesn't make it much better either. The people who guessed right should have won the item. And that's that. Free gifts are worth much less, and new reused trivias are always harder to figure out and yadda yadda.
Just try to actually put some effort into double checking. Like Santa Claus. XD If he can check his list of a billion kids twice, then I think Debilee/whoever else helps with Trivia could spare a few seconds to check the trivia answers.

There is only one answer to the previous trivia. The answer is Home Appliances for a reason. Just look at the shop description.

Yeaaah- I chose Bits and Bytes because you can actually wear some crap from Home Appliances, but I have yet to see anything vaguely useful come from Bits and Bytes and/or the Grooming Parlor.

Ok. Instead of using the prize for another question, why don't you put it up as a free gift? I got the right answer to the trivia and I want the prize. I don't think it's fair to answer another question to get the prize when I answered the first question right.

I was mad about that trivia because the Trivia does not accept misspelled answers. Yet, the misspelling was on the same page the answer was found. In the same instance, this trivia was not accepted at all. So why was the one with Artic accepted. Such a contradiction!
i think everyone who gave the correct answer should get the item. i don't want to have to wait and maybe get the next question right. we all won it fair and square

My only complaint is, I got this one right. Who's to say I will get the next one right? It might not be as easy and the people that got it wrong this time, might get it right next time. So, now I'm out a prize that should have been rightfully mine.
Trust me I appreciate all the hard work Debi does, and really this might have been no fault of her own, but the prize should still have been awarded to the people that spell it correctly.
Heck, just because it's automated, doesn't mean there isn't a manual override. At least I sure hope there is for ANY automated process on this site.

dumb spelling mistake i had the right answer and this trivia is so easy.
if subeta intends to be a professionally-run website who expects users to be willing to pay real money into the site.. i certainly do expect the site to use proper grammar and spelling. ESPECIALLY since aspects of the site are heavily reliant on them.. i.e. the trivia. not calling for any firings or resignations.. but for the love of god, please check these things beforehand. how many times have we had to deal with this already?
