It looks a bit too feline with the sneer and paw-batting, and the panther-esque pose. The snout could be a tad rounder as well, and not so long.
But I really love the idea. The old Ontra was too cutesy for a BR pet. This one looks tougher.
I think the artist did a wonderful job with this. It looks like a bloodred pet should look especially compared to the split look it had before. Plus, the blood isn't overdone either...he looks like he just came from a bloody fight and not a blood bath. Fantastic job, but I do agree with a earlier comment that the tail does kind of look like a lobster claw. Maybe if the flipper was less shaped like a C and more shaped into a V like with the reborn and other colors of Ontras are.

Amazing! Just a few weeks ago, I told a friend that the Bloodred Ontra doesn't look nearly as fierce or scary as the other pets.
My ontra is now bloodred ontra

Hmm, this BR ontra doesn't have a lot of blood, but it's still awesome [like the shading and all], and I love those eyes. XD
The eyes remind me of Suiseiseki, but all this blood dripping takes away this from my mind. And wow, awesome. Looks like its tail has beaten someone really hard.
I love it! Bloodred pets are SUPPOSED to be bloody. That's what makes them Bloodred pets.

I was honestly horrified when I saw the news a few minutes ago. I loved the originality and the cute face of my bloody Pino but now he's just... like all the other bloodred pets... Black with some blood. And I prefer the old shape too. I guess I'll just zap him now... =(

And, the eyes on BR pets, especially the recent ones, are always red and green. They symbolise the good (Green, a color symbolising virtue) and the evil (Red, a color symbolising malice)
There was nothing remotely bloodred with the old Otter. Everything would be an improvement over the old one.
Red and black split =/= Bloodred.

There is something wrong with the face... And I loved the old one because it was a lot more original. I miss the half red and half black Otter... In fact I miss the Otter but well... I think they could have just change it and keep the split colors.

This makes me consider an Ontra.xD Though I don't know which pet would be one. .so I'm at a loss.^-^ Great job! And I personally love the fact it has one green eye and one red eye. Most bloodred pets have different color eyes don't they?O_O Save for Telenine I think and Kumos.
