It really didn't matter that her first name wasn't given in the actual movie itself, it's on the internet, didn't take much searching and it was easily found. I mean, i'm sure people didn't go out and rent the movie just to see if they could get the answer to the trivia LOL.

I didn't know if her middle name was part of the answer or not so I just answered Pamela. I thought it was a great question. Just like this one, it fits perfectly.

And btw, it did say i the question that it wanted the first name.

And now why I think it was tricky... The question asked for the murderer's name of the original film, however, Pamela's name was NEVER given in the actual original film! She was simply known as Mrs. Foorhees, not Pamela. Pamela's name was given out in Friday the 13th Part Two.
So, when the trivia asked for the name in the original, I kinda had to make a face about that, lol.
Sorry, I'm just really picky when it comes to my favorite genre of movies P:

Yay! I dont think I have ever even seen it - I just knew the "surprise" ending. For those that don't know Pamela Vorhees was Jason's mother. SHE was the actual killer in the FIRST movie. I used IMDB to find her name, too.

And format was easy. All you had to do was read the question carefully. I hate all the complainers. You can't please everyone, tho, right?

Yay! I got it right!. You really didn't even have to see the movie to get it right. I just remembered from the first Scream movie where the killer is asking Drew Barrymore all those horror movie questions, and that was one of them. But I did have to go to IMDb to find out the first name.

When I read the last trivia it specifically said they wanted the FIRST name in the question itself. I didn't see any format clarification from deb, they were already gone off the page when I got here. sometimes you have to read questions carefully, I always read them outloud sometimes two or three times before I try to answer, lol.

Just because we've been told that in trivias the shortest answer possible is the correct one doesn't mean we should assume that it'll only be the first name and not the last as well. Like with the trivia about Lorne Greene, we were told to put the first and last name there, and since when I came in this trivia to see the comments I didn't see an message about the format, I assumed it's the same. But whatever, anyway.. already have my 10 trivias so it doesn't bother me too much.

Digi actually Debi gave us the format on that one so a lot of people who put the right answer did it because they saw her comment before it disappeared, I can't say for sure but I can't remember the trivia saying what's the first name I honestly remember it said what's the name :/

In the past we've already been told that the trivia answers are the shortest possible answers available. So no, Pamela Voorhees would be wrong, and Pamela would be right. Everyone had the same problem with the trivia about the socks. "Right" instead of "Right Sock".

I was concerned whether or not simply putting Pamela would be right or not - assuming it could have been Pamela Sue (many are given a double [first] name) ... the argument of cultures taking the first name to mean the family name is moot - the site is in North America. I'm fairly certain if they wanted to know what the characters first name would be in say, Asia ... they would have asked it that way - so it's a good rule of thumb to assume, unless it is otherwise posted to go by the assumption 'when in Rome' (or N America as it were). Then again - sometimes trivia is a crap shoot - don't feel too bad, it's happened to all of us at one time or another.

It should have been whole name, because quite a few cultures "first name" is the surname. Not in mine, but... still. I got it right though.
