I appreciate the artists doing a good job, and I do think the montre is beautiful in its own way - but it doesn't mean every person has to like every pet. And hey, on a big forum like this, if they don't like it - they should be able to say it (politely of course, not WTF THIS SUX )

That being said, thank you, Jag, for adding the feathers. Who knows. I said I hated the spectrum demi at first too and now I own one laughs It might grow on me in the end.

And I don't really see that as a happy smile. More of a sarcastic one. Which is definitely a Montre thing. ;3

That Montre is dead gorgeous. The shading looks beautiful; It's bright, and makes it look seem.. Real. Like it's sitting right there on your screen. The wings are one of my favorite things about it. The artist did an excelent job of making it look like the wing was pointed in our direction. It's a very hard effect to pull off, but they did it very well. (: I adore the little rainbow coming off it's paw. Don't know why, but it just hypnotizes me. xD It doesn't seem as fluffy as the other Montres, and it IS smiling.. But, if a spectrum pet wasn't smiling, I'd be afraid. |: It's annoying how everyone is complaining about the smile. The Hipposaru is a totally happy pet, but look at the Graveyard version. It's the same thing. Spectrum pets are happy and cheerful, guys. :B

Well, kudos to the artist.

The Popoko really amuses me. xD It's amazing how some of these scribble pets are so.. Well drawn. x3

"Overly happy"? I don't consider a small smile like that to be overly happy. The demi, now that's an overly happy smile (and there's nothing wrong with that.)

I actually love the happy montres. If they all wore the same expression, that'd be pretty boring, no? The new variation in expression of the species is in fact, very pleasing.

I wish I had saved my spectrum potion. That montre is everything I wanted Paradise to look like. xD

So before this comment gets any longer, I'd like to say that each of the new pets released are stunning, and it's great to see so much effort and hard work being put into each one. The artists are doing a great job, and I for one appreciate it.

(Love the popoko's cheeks, btw. So cute!)

I agree with Saga on this. Personally, I'm fond of the Spectrum Montre BECAUSE it lacks the massive rainbow coloration the other spectrum pets have. It doesn't look like it fell into a bucket of paint, it looks like it's been lurking on the edge of a rainbow, not getting too much colour, but not getting too little, either. And I like it because it's not as extremely happy like the Anyu or the Feli.

Actually, the DM demi is smiling. Perfectly happy, really. And the Mortiking, Magnus, Dillema, Warador and Paralix are all fairly angry in their Galactic form. The Spectrum Otter looks somewhat confused, and many look simply content. Graveyard pets have varied expressions. The colour doesn't really have to effect the expression.

I agree with Xarii, the artists put a lot of effort into these wondrous works, so I think they should start showing some respect. I'd be outraged to find that alot of people come out abusing my artwork.

The Montres expression is perfect. If you look closely its not as happy chipper whatever as most of the other spectrum pets. Its the 'perfect Montre smile'. (and I really dont think its 'out of character' or such)

If the montre was too happy
It'd be more like the Kerubi.

I think it's the perfect smile for a montre. Not overly giddy, but small smile.

Actually, from what I assume, /Common/ poses are more emotionless while the special colors often have emotions attached to them. I.e., the Spectrum is really jolly and happy and Dark Matter is sort of sinister.
