The FLAG was official in 1960... 47 years... the star was actualy added in 1959... nearly 48 .. I suppose I should have expected this though.. after all, it can never be as simple as caculator math.. I am sure the answer was expected to be to the exact day.~~shrugs~~

Oh well. Suprisingly though, there was only one possible answer, I just.. screwed it up ... somehow.~~smirks~~

Mostly interpreting it as the day that Hawaii became fully integrated into the US legal system apart from it's owl legal systems. There were a bunch of court cases in 1961 delegating air use, territorial laws, and other general legal stuff.
