I'm not gonna keep moaning about the trivia - Staff weren't to know that some users wouldn't be able to find the answer by hovering the mouse over the area. It was unfair - but it wasn't INTENTIONALLY unfair, and I'm sure that trivias with an advantage to UIE users will be avoided in the future. Subeta listens.

I think because you had to use IE was quite unfair seeing as the majority of people use FF. Oh well, life's never fair though i suppose.

I really like this trivia question - nice riddle! Props to Zephyr for coming up with it. I didn't get the last trivia, but I can't complain. The Constellation minion is similar, and it's animated, weee!

What?? It was only taken out a couple of hours early because there were already just under 1500 answers and, as it turned out, 800 correct. There were too many won as it was; that was the problem.

By taking it out early, but keeping the price you reward the abusers by giving them an item for which they will ask millions in trades.
The solution would be to give out the same price with a new Trivia.

I love this new trivia! I didn't even have to think about it! As for the last trivia, I see both sides... but either way, it's a game and there's no reason to be silly and argue over it.

I didn't meant to imply that using an alternate browser would cause viruses. But the reason most people use Firefox is because IE is horrendously virus-prone. So the fact that people value the safety of their computers indirectly caused them to miss the Trivia.

I didn't even know people were posting about the Trivia until now, by the way. I'm sure a lot of us didn't think that the answer would be hinted at on the forums, given that it's against the rules, so it's not fair to say that we were told to use alternate browsers to find it.

In no way would finding the answer by using an alternate browser cause a virus on a computer. And I don't think that anyone who saw the IE comment and did it was actually cheating, it was just that people were posting it everywhere when discussion of the current Trivia ian't even permitted, plus telling their friends, plus creating multiple accounts.

ok sorry bad thing to use. how about the fact that most of the wrong like over charging and cheating is not done by the staff but the users? is that fair?is it fair the people with ie had a week of not being able to get on the site? while ff use could . is it fair that people lose much of the sp they have doing wizard quest cuz people over price out of greed?sorry i said you rs fast i might just rs fast i was just trying to say that a lot of stuff is not fair on SB why pick on this one thing and not the stuff other users do like back stabbing over charging and whining when they dont get somthing free in a give away and get the shout box shut down?

I can't RS faster. I have a slow computer and a slow connection. The fact that I use FF doesn't even begin to change that.

I just don't think it's fair for some of us to spend hours scouring the site for the answer, only to find out that the fact that some of us don't want viruses on our computers means we're not allowed to know the answer to the trivia.

I'm just happy to see such a huge discussion on the trivia that goes to show that users cared the way Subeta works, and they want it to improve and make sure maximum fairness is around.

I would prefer these rather than numerous repeated posts saying "Your answer ... for the trivia was correct! Youve been given an ... and ...sP"

I just went along when someone suggested to use IE. No one told me where or how to find it. Like I said in the previous news post, I found it completely by accident. I found it when my dog bumped my mouse and it just so happened to "land" on the place on Atebus where the answer was. But now I feel kinda...guilty because I used IE when someone suggested it. I feel like I cheated now.

In all honest, I don't have IE or FF I have a mac so I use Safari and I found the answer to the trivia without any hints. All you had to do was think logically about the question. I found the what I thought was the answer before a few of my friends who use IE so it was a fair trivia, don't whine because you didn't think about it

I wasted a lot of hours looking when it was IMPOSSIBLE for me to find it because of the browser I choose to use.

That's the only reason I'm a bit peeved. I guess I'll start the wait in the trades... goes to get some cola, a lawn chair, and some shades

The staff aren't immune to errors and I'm sure no one meant to make it difficult for those with other browsers, but there are always ways to correct such errors once they are realised.

Anyway, I believe I've been civil, and I guess it's not worth it to argue on someone else's behalf over something like this; what's done is done, and I got my 'flaik.

... and hopefully the banana. XD

Hey, now. Is it "childish" to assume that Subeta's staff will take feedback on difficulties that people perceive with their methods? I'm not demanding that they recompense me for a trivia I didn't even answer (because I simply had no idea where to look), just pointing out a difficulty with the way it was worded.

So I suppose "QQ moar newb" is a fair response, but jeez, at least I'm not tiypuing liek dis and craiing about it in favor of reasonable discourse.

Agreed that life isn't fair..and yea to beating a dead horse..but I'm another NON-IE user and feel punished for that. I don't mind clever trivia, even when I don't get them (like the one that one off the keyboard letters), but this wasn't clever. I wasted a lot of hours looking when it was IMPOSSIBLE for me to find it because of the browser I choose to use. And while there have been badly worded ones, and sometimes multiple correct answers - EVERYONE was at the same disadvantage for those..that's the difference here.

I couldn't even see answers posted on the forums 'cause the forums won't work for me on Firefox. IE just plain sucks too much to switch over to just for Subeta ;-;

No, abusing the right to comment on news posts by whining in every single one about how unfair the intarwebs are is childish.

I personally can not wait until the staff disallows comments. The lot of ya' are ungrateful for what the site does provide, blinded by the mistakes of the staff, which are only human.

Get over it. The staff is going to screw up on things like that. Mostly because I'm sure the staff doesn't have every browers downloaded, nor the time to check everything over in each one.
