The Subeautique has given space to three more designers, and has started selling their first designs!

Dew has created the Boreas set, inspired by the starry night sky!

Zodiak has released it's first set, the Fantasty outfit!

Symphoni Nacht was worried that the males of Subeta haven't been getting enough attention, and has put out the Bloody Sunday set.

The owners of Subeautique would like to remind everyone that their high prices are to keep the ... less desired occupants out of their store, and hope that you all have fun shopping with them :)

i never asked for it to be changed. the song(s) itself also wasnt just named that,it was named that for that very reason also. so yeah. heh,if i really wanted something changed, you know what id change?? a certain bloodred item, perhaps with some thought youd guess which one. because its a sure and extreme reminder of my OWN losses. no,i never asked for it to be changed, and im also not convinced its named just after 'sunday' clothes, either. but oh well..shakes headi just wish people wouldnt twist what im saying, because i said two things: one,it has nothing to do with a personal dislike of the ITEMS themselves, and two,i never requested a changed as i already know they wont be. and lastly, thank you, colubrifer,as that is exactly what point i was trying to make only you managed to say it in a couple of sentences..i just wish id have just said that myself :p

"i'm kind of surprised so few people know about bloody sunday"

Actually, I had never heard of it but I did some research on it and worked it out soon enough. Since this is a pet site there are varying ages, for example I am only 13, and I know a lot of people well over 20. To the younger ones like myself, well perhaps our social studies teachers are to blame. The more experienced, older, and social-study-savvy people of this site would have a wider knowledge of events.

i'm kind of surprised so few people know about bloody sunday, and that it isn't just a song by john lennon/U2.

kind of sad.

i don't really think its offensive, its just...
well, bloody sunday isn't just a catchy song, ya know?
bloody sunday was a protest/march in derry (ireland) that went terribly wrong- with 13 dead and many others wounded.
(i'm not trying to give a history lesson, trust me xD)

there's nothing wrong with using the term bloody sunday.
but lets not forget the important meaning behind it~

but hey, enough of that, i wanna talk about the clothes-
they're AWESOME. i think the artists did a fantastic job, and (believe it or not) the bloody sunday set is my favorite xD

Great clothing!

I am aware that some people may be sensitive to the choices of names, but the subeta staff did not intentionally offend you. I believe you all just have different meanings in mind, and should agree to disagree.

the song was the first to come to mind. I still don't think I can link clothes to tragedies.

I wonder what would happen if you made a Bright red clothing line and named it "Scarlet Fever"

Also, Saggitarius should so come out with his own line of Men's Wear for Subeutique.

Colu, who's glamourizing a tragedy? Again (and again and again, as some people are hard of...reading?), I named it after the song.

Song. S-o-n-g. You know that thing, with the noises and stuff? Music? I know I'm not that old that you've never heard of the song I mean.

Also, you just invoked Godwin's law.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

Dokuja, the point is that it's disrespectful to glamourize such tragedies. You wouldn't name a "line" of clothing '9/11' or 'Holocaust'.

We've all lost people (and I'm not just saying that). That doesn't mean certain words or phrases should never be allowed to be used, or that they should be considered "disrespectful" just by turning up in everyday conversation. Otherwise, everyone would have some common word or phrase or whatever that they thought shouldn't be used or said.

Again, it was in reference to the song and in reference to wearing fancy clothes on Sundays, and not any moment in history. You're welcome to be offended by the name of it if you insist, I suppose, but it won't be changed.

Well, I know a lot of people who really like the song 'Sunday Bloody Sunday' by John Lennon and I don't think any of them know its a reference to the terrible tragedy in ireland. I don't think Tat would intentionally name something after that. I mean, I knew about the shootings but didn't really connect it. I just thought it was a clever name for the outfit xD

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by SunnyLittleBunny

yes,i agree with what you said about time..the further back something has happened, the more people tend to forget,or make it out as not a big deal..'its over, get over it..' people already do that about 9-11. i guess one reason its so shocking to see it named that,is this is,after all,the site that even put out special minions in honour of steve irwin and yet....

thank you again,ico..^^v

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

nods I understand, soulmonkie. I'm sure there are lots of people offended by things that are about events that were personally connected to them. For instance, two people might share a joke about New Orleans being wiped out, and find it hilarious. But someone who lived there wouldn't find it very funny, would they?

There's just a fine line between offensive and not offensive. Usually the more in the past something is, the less personal attachment there is, and the less offensive it is.

You shouldn't apologize, as you did nothing wrong.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User
