NOw this is much better! Love how you fixed the horn. ^^ And yup, I like better without the smile. ^^
The lack of a smile highlights a persisting issue: the eyes are too tall/long. The current version has smaller, rounder eyes, which give it a more neutral and versatile expression (smiling or not) whereas these larger eyes tend more toward perky and cutesy. So my suggestion is to shrink the eyes a bit (and thin the base of the tail a touch, and add some variety to the tail spots by arranging them in something besides a straight line).
Not that it matters, since I still prefer the old Demi and thus am obviously a lower lifeform. But whatever. Figured my final comment might as well be a critique so people won't have such an easy time twisting it out of proportion.
I wasn't sure about the last one but this time I clearly prefer the old one. The smile seems to be a topic that divides the users. The new looks something between bored, depressed and annoyed. (Although I would probably like it if it was really annoyed. 
)
I dont know.. i still like the old demi. But if it does change, i guess ill just have to get used to it
Ha, this time I made sure I voted for new.x3 The biggest problem seems to be the smile so I red lined the mouth a tiny bit.

This is faaar better than the first revamp attempt.
I must say this isn't my favorate style, but this 'new' Demi seems to have more life & character than before, I love the facial expression, it looks just how I imagine the Demi's character should be! I think I might need a Demi if this revamp goes through.

I like the new revamp better. It looks new, and fits in with the other pets better. I think the Demi was due for a revamp. 
And I love the look of it's eyes - they seem exotic in a way.
The new Demi has a Mona Lisa smile...If you look closely at the mouth, the shading gives it a slight upturn at the corner of the mouth--if you want your Demi to be smiling, there it is, and if you don't then it isn't there.

I like this revamp the best, but the eye is still bothering me a little. The Demi looks almost scared or startled... maybe change the shape of the eyes a little so it looks less like a deer caught in the headlights?

I think this new demi looks great and people should be thankful for Tsume to making as many changes/redraws as she did to try and satisfy everyone.

Perhaps if you want to make the dissenters happy, you can lower and shorten the eyes a bit and add back the smile. But otherwise, this one is awesome. The puffiness and way-too-fluffiness of the other one is gone .
while i admit to having enjoyed the old demi much more, i do recognise the time for change. this is a much better redraw then the original attempt. but the tail still looks a litte awkward to me. I don't know if its just not curvy enough or what but one side looks a little too flat.
as for the smile thing - i prefer it with out one. it helps this way to give you pets personality.
like I said before, this one may be new and I know some of you like the older one but this one IS cleaner with the lines. but it would be nice if the eyes were a bit, cuter? and this one's not smiling. why can't it smile? what happened to it?
This is absolutely lovely. It really does give the impression of being a revamp of the old demi, instead of a complete alteration. Granted, I didn't need to be won over quite as much as everyone else - I voted for the previous revamp too.
In particular, I love the new warmth to the shading and the similarity in pose and expression to the original. As for the smile, I personally don't see what all these critics are talking about, but at least it's an easy edit. The expression is wonderfully coy, the shading is classy, the horn is centered, the curve of the tail is natural and its base is not icky and thin any longer.
What's not to love?
Unfortunately, Meow, like I said before, this revamp IS showing too much emotion to me. It will always appear scared to me, and I'm not the only one to have mentioned it.
Perhaps make it less wide-eyed, then, instead of bringing back the smile?
The shading is really nice on the new one, the Demi looks a lot fluffier.
I really, really like it without the smile. A blank expression is much more useful to me when coming up with a personality for my pet, and the old expression looked a little disjointed and out of place to me anyway.
I really hope that the smile doesn't come back.
I prefer the last one quite honestly. I think the style and simplicity appealed to me.

That's the whole point Julie, what is someone else doesn't want there demi to be sly and coy? The somewhat vague expression helps to allow people to attach their /own/ emotion or personality preference to the pet.
I still prefer the old demi, as it has a lovely punky look to it, and an adolescent attitude that the new one does not encompass... But I'll tolerate the new one, as it seems it's going to win anyways (sigh), if the expression on it's face is changed to be more sly and coy like the old one's. A smirk and the eyebrows lowered so it doesn't look like it's so surprised.

I was under the impression that revamps would not be showing to much emotion so that the pets would not be so.. stero-typical? Like how the more defined smirk was taken off the telenine. Emotions are more expressed through the use of special colors, i.e. Spectrum, Bloodred, Dark Matter and Angelic.
What happened to the smile?
This revamp is insanely beautiful. I love the detail the new one has compared to the old one. It just looks more... real.
I like the way the horn now merges in more with the head, unlike the second revamp, however, like many others, I do miss that slight smile. This Demi just appears so sullen, it's like it's had all the life zapped out of it. BUT, even without the smile I've noticed it still looks rather cute and 'innocent' almost ;D
The old Demi is just the best and you should revamp other pets, that are much uglier than the cute old demi!!
I think I'd like the new one if it would have a smirk on it's face like the old one does. Then it'd be perfect.

If I had to say something constructive I'd probably say I'd change the two feet closest to the viewer... Simply because they look a tad on the slant towards the viewer... But I still majorly prefer the old one.
I prefer the old smile, too. I love the new color MUCH better than the old, and the mane is beautiful! I think the horn should be a little longer. I hate the tail, though. It's too...scrawny?
I think the Demi should be mixture of both old and new. I like the fluffy mane and its bright eyes. But you need to fix the smile back as the new expression looks too blank.
And on top of that, why does the front feet look like its sticking up slightly? They need to be put back down.
I agree that this one looks worried and scared without the smile. I think the forelegs being apart add to that, it makes it look like it's preparing to run away.
Something about the hairline doesn't seem quite right, but I can't put my finger on what exactly it is - sorry that this is not a terribly constructive comment.
And it may be just me, but does anyone else feel that if it turned its head face on, it's right ear would appear larger than the left? I suspect that's just me though...
I would like to add that if this version wasn't a replacement for the old, I'd think it was perfect
i think the only reson i dont like this as much as the old one is because its frount legs are way to far away from its body :/

ARRG. I'm so sorry to be negative again when the artist is obviously trying so hard! Gotta say it looks more soft and less dark than before, but what has happened to it's mouth? I actually preferred the one before, where it's mouth shape looked more like the original. But that's personal taste I suppose, but it would return the cuteness appeal to the pet.
I might end up changing my demi now to some other species... shame... we'll see how it turns out. I will miss MysticCookie's design very much.

The things I don't like is that the tail is a little far from the body and the shading makes it look too fluffy; the other thing is the expression. I liked the expression on the second one (in the "Demi Part Deux" poll), the eyes really shined and the little smile made it look cuter.
I agree about missing the little grin, but this one does look nice. Not a pet I would mind getting, if it fitted with my plan for my pets. =]
I simply do not like it. It seems all wrong to me.
Let me preface my comments that I am a horrible artist and couldn't draw to save my life... but since we are asked for comments, here it goes.
I agree that the horn is a little short.
The tail shoots out a little too far from the body.
The smile I thought was cuter and the eyes look a little zoned out. Not as sweet.
Beyond that the improvements are great. The body proportions look much better.
I really, REALLY like the expression on this Demi's face. This is the first revamp that I feel captures some of the spirit of the original Demi. Please don't give it back the smile.
