well this is kinda uneventful. i'm going to save all these expensive gifts for my new partner tomorrow.
i really hate to seem greedy or horrible, but when all they send you is an item won from the random game and i've sent 4 nice things... okay this is about giving not receiving. but i think maybe i'll give upon the SS and save my gifts/sP for my friends.
I've sent them some nice things... but they're just spamming me with cheap stuff. 
I don't need a billion of the same item.

For those who have not received anything do take into account the serious amount of lag, site errors and down time today. I signed up for this hours ago and then the server went down this is the first I have been able to get back and so I passed along gifts as soon as I could. In a secret santa situation you no nothing about what is happening on the other end. To assume the worst really says alot about a better person. I can't speak obviously for anyone else, but in true holiday spirit I signed up to give and not receive. If you can't handle the chance you may not get a gift in return perhaps you should stick to sending gifts to friends instead.

I was sooo happy and looking forward to doing this daily but leave it to people to ruin the spirit for others...
I don't mind giving ... to ANYONE.. but i do mind those who sign up ( by choice ) for a mutaul gift giving only to end up being a receiver...
There goes my christmas spirit... Sure hope the abusers feel good about themselves, but i won't do this again.

It's fun for most of us...but I hope there is a way to ban the folks who abuse it to receive but never give.

Hmm..you're right, Lyallis chuckles i've been moping cause my SS hadn't sent anything and wasn't looking at it right. It's a gift to a random stranger, with the hope of making their day brighter, instead of a gift with the hope of getting gifties back. readjusts thinking and feels better about it
.___. I'm still waiting to receive something in return... Meh. This is rather disappointing if you don't get ANYTHING back. A really common item would even be appreciated.

When Subeta got MySQLed, I didn't have a SS assigned yet. So I went and entertained myself looking up English slang words for a bit. I came back to a couple gifts from my SS... YAY! So I started sending stuff back, but I think my SS is offline now sob This was just getting fun LOL

It's not a competition, it is the thought that counts. My santa is great, however, I'm going broke on the first day of this LOL! It's fun though!! And I don't want to know who the secret santa is, no secret then

even if you can't send something back that's worth what they send, just sending something nice that's in your price range beats sending nothing at all

Seeing who your Secret Santa was at the end of the day would be nice, but just think of the arrogance it could cause.
Lets say, hypothetically speaking, you send over 500k worth of items, and they only send 400k
Many greedy people would be upset, and would let the other know that by sending hurtful smails.
